It means they will effectively be unlimited in number. Infected will populate towns, cities, and hopefully helicopters, cop cars, and contamination zones as players approach. Hopefully this can be done in a way that is seamless and will not cause pop in from a distance or give away players arrival. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Also, thanks to the devs and all at BI. Here's my favorite shot from .60 so far. It's a new DayZ with Enfusion! <3

Choose server. Get connecting failed or max players dialogue box. Float mouse over "ok" in dialogue box. Spam enter key until you join. Profit with moar frameZ.

Played with Gary, Dudester, Brooks, IMT, and Emu, a bit earlier. We were split into 2 teams not too far apart and decided to meet where we knew there should be a Lada. As Brooks and I approached the Lada we had nearly met up with the others when he drew fire from an unseen assailant. Gary and IMT rushed to our direction as we dashed into a line of trees to try to flank the KoSS'r (see also tosser). We situated on a hill overlooking the Lada and our intrepid friend decided he was free to take the Lada (which need tires repaired). Brooks fired on him through the windshield and he immediately exited the car and ran towards the front of the treeline we had dashed through to flank him initially. Now all 4 of us were perched in a semi circle looking down on his position and it was either Gary or IMT who saw him laying by a tree. I asked that they flush him out with a few rounds and when they did, he did not move. After a moment, we rushed the position and found his corpse right where the rat had curled up to breathe his last. We then make our own genius decision to stash the car and go check out the new Tisy base. Almost as soon as we arrived we drew fire from the large tower there. Gary, having just finished his 3rd cup of coffee, decides to try to rush them on his own and is cut down in an exchange with one of the players. Brooks and I left the scene to recover the car and then Brooks logged out while I steeped my balls in a pond to reduce overheating. Finally, we all come together once more on the outskirts of Sinistok where desynch from 2 Lada's passing caused a crash and the need for some tire repair. After driving to pick up Gary, I logged out. This was a nearly 4 hour session with only a couple service interruptions. I'm still in awe of how beautiful Enfusion makes Chernarus+ look.....

SteamDB shows - "workshopdepot: 221100" I don't recall seeing this before. I like patches.

Yay, Monday! I'm excited to see how this patch progresses! Bring on the updates!

Player based DDoS for #1 super best stress test login data! I decided to play around 9 and played almost uninterrupted until nearly 2am. First try, I joined instantly! :P But instead of near a police station as a fresh spawn where the server had crashed me out yesterday, I was Naked and Afraid in Vybor! XP This is maybe my favorite bug as you have absolutely nothing and have to loot for the bare essentials instantly. Finding clothes (except for pants), guns, and ammo that didn't match, eventually I went North to Myshkino tents. Here I found a military tent in the middle with a pristine Scorpion and an spare pristine mag. The base was well picked through and there weren't any high end mags to go with the rifles around so I beat it out there to the South East. Looting in a SE>NE arc it eventually landed me within a short distance of where Dudester, Gary, and GirthBrooks were and we all met up. I had come across a near complete Lada and hoped we could grab it for a spin as Brooks had the tire repair we needed to get it running. Brooks led us back to Pustoshka where I had found the Lada, and on the way we stopped to eat and loot a little and I heard shifting. Once in Pustoshka a player was spotted just when I was trying to clear the town to find the car and we got side tracked making sure he didn't try to snipe someone. I now believe the shifting I heard was someone beating us to that Lada. We cut some paths to military locations, again without much found there of value, a couple crash sites didn't offer much either. Some players were spotted but avoided easily. All in all, a mostly uneventful session with only a few infected killed. Swapping items in a childs briefcase, when I dropped an item in at the same time as someone else it crashed my game. Here are a few shots from the evening. HEY DEVS ~ Enfusion is super sexy!!! Thank you, you beastly nerds, you!

It was letter "T" in the past, not sure if that's changed. I didn't think select fire was part of this patch. I would very much like to see it applied to every gun that has it. Most full auto weapons are primarily used in a burst or single shot mode, full auto being inaccurate, wasteful, and best for suppressing fire (or hordes I guess).
-
So, I think I probably died last night because my gun jammed. I was not sorting my ammo and likely paid the price. Thanks for sharing.
-
Can anyone comment on whether or not full auto is bugged for the guns it applies to? Someone said it might have been ammo condition and some form of jams that people are perceiving as a bug but I also heard someone say it was bugged. Thoughts, experiences, science?

I was hoping someone would take the time to get servers back up today but I guess not.... Looks like no more .60 until Monday.

I avoided KoS on these full servers for quite a long time but my luck ran out. Dudester and I got cornered in Pogarevka while trying to eat in a house. We were upstairs in a yellow colored house splitting some rice when a random guy in full military gear rushes in. Dudester shot him and I drew my Aug. He cried for mercy saying he didn't know we were there. Dudester made him lay down and we allowed him to bandaged. He proclaimed that he had a group of 3 friends outside and that they were not hostile. After some thought I decided to try to take him on his word that if we let him live, his friends would give us a pass. Then Dudester got kicked from the server!! Now I am alone with this guy and he asks to leave and I let him go. My situation has turned bleak. Now my best hope is to stay covering the door and wait for Dudester to log back in. Then the footsteps start in the grass all around the house. They try to throw a grenade through the sealed window while someone rushes the steps and I spook and fire a shot into the door. Now I speak and say that he must be a friend of the guy we let go and he denies this acting generally douchey and trying to bully me somehow with weak in-effectual speak. After some pointless banter, I shut off my mic an they tried to grenade me once again, with 0 results. Footsteps keep sounding on the wooden floor below, he's trying to get up the balls to attack or draw me out. He then breaches the door, apparently expecting me in a different corner, he completely misses. I shot him at least twice as he passed me crossing the room and trailed him with the Aug but it didn't continue to fire (apparently full auto is bugged?) and his next shots killed me. I doubt I had any gear they needed, and we had let a buddy of theirs go, you would think if they weren't complete asshats, they might have let me go. I respawned on the coast and ran to a nearby police station. At the police station there another character ran up and began to talk but then, less than 5 minutes after I was killed..... THE SERVER RESTARTS! -_- Why couldn't it have restarted during my Mexican stand-off! Oh well, never get attached....

I got into a server with Dudester, GaryWalnuts, and IMT, almost as soon as the update finished. Mostly our session was uninterrupted. I found myself in Myshkino tent city and Gary met me there. After looting for a while, Gary caught sight of a random player so we ran into the woods. We tried to get eyes on the player from a hill but did not. He then shot Gary from an unseen position. I heard shots bounce nearby, and we both took off running in different directions. After going South for sometime I found myself at Kamenka. It was about this time that IMT and Dudester got ambushed near the new shooting range. IMT's client seemed to crash (but he thought he died) when he got shot, and Dudester got shot and killed but managed to hit the guy. When he respawned he found himself near Cherno so I worked my way East to meet him there. IMT rejoined the game right where he was shot but wasnt bleeding. He then caught sight of the guy who had shot him and landed a shot which either killed him or crashed his opponents client. Gary returned from a break just in time to meet IMT, and I escorted Dudester up towards them as I needed to log out soon. As we neared Green Mountain Dudester spotted a player so we watched and it turned out to be 2 players, running away from us. Clearing that town to the North around Green Mountain Gary exclaimed that he saw a smoking heli crash and in a matter of minutes after that all 4 of us were picking over the crash which had 4 FAL's, a UMP, a few CMAG's, and a few pieces of clothing. Here is where I needed to log out, hopefully I'll jump on again later.

I am not going to bother spamming the remaining limping servers tonight. I hope there is a small miracle of an update and/or additional servers tomorrow. I believe 100 servers, though they would get slammed, would likely change the load enough to allow more people to have access and stay in game. Hicks quoted an infected population for .60 at PAX, if I remember correctly it was like 800? :( All I want is dynamic infected spawn done right.

This release was handled poorly and I would hope Bohemia can take some kind of constructive lesson from these last couple of days. I feel they must have known the amount of players that would be interested but did very little to accommodate them.... and the result is a complete: clusterfuck Military term for an operation in which multiple things have gone wrong. Related to "SNAFU" (Situation Normal, All Fucked Up") and "FUBAR" (Fucked Up Beyond All Repair). In radio communication or polite conversation (i.e. with a very senior officer with whom you have no prior experience) the term "clusterfuck" will often be replaced by the NATO phonetic acronym "Charlie Foxtrot." By the time the artillery came in the enemy was already on top of us. It was a total clusterfuck.

Shrooms finally released!

I played about an hour before I had a family member drop by (or might have played longer). I didn't see any action in that hour, just did some light looting and ran through some woods. Rain, life giving RAIN! Wellies and raincoat and I never got damp. ^You can see an odd menu bug here. There is a pile of shotgun shells at my characters feet. ^Same object/map element/item not found dialog bug in new UI text. I hope they do not encounter too much trouble getting dynamic infected spawn done well, and soon! I see so much potential in Enfusion! I'm heading out to dinner now but I'll try again later.

I connected to the server I was on last night in -10 mins. After maybe 10-15mins I stopped in a tree to jot down some notes and got a CTD, my first. Here are the notes I stopped to write down.... We need UI opacity to either be player controlled or static. With even 20% more gamma for night purposes the menu ends up looking very washed out. On my monitor (42" LCD) the hotbar seems too small, and has a light blue hue which I do not prefer to the more translucent box we had. This makes it impossible for me to follow the compass in the hotbar, which I thought made up for the fact that you couldn't attach a compass to yourself, which would be easy to do in reality. Maybe a good idea would be to be able to craft a band so a person could wear the compass like a wrist watch.... I really like the current version of night as well as most of the transitions for sunrise/sunset. The world is no longer B&W at night and interiors have differing lighting depending on windows, etc. I still bump the gamma a little but the overall effect is so much better!

Yeah, this really really sucks and the fact that you have not got in yet, I 100% sympathize with. I would be extremely upset if I was reading all this and was locked out too. Look at it this way: Would you rather have the memory error odin has and have 0% chance to play?

I appreciate people bringing tweet info over as I do not have a twitter account nor do I care to follow more than the official forum. Thanks.

It has taken me 30 minutes to 1+ hour to be able to join a server. From the first hour the patch was released yesterday I played 2 sessions probably equal to around 4 hours combined after trying to connect throughout a 12 hour period. Is this good? No. Is it "acceptable"? Well, yeah, all things considered, it is. Gary, Dudester, Bleedout Bill, and myself were on the longest consecutive time together in TS3 and we heard the results of everybodies independent spamming attempts. In the end, most of us managed to connect only twice each, and I think 1 person might have only connected once. There was a lot groaning, crying, complaining, damning of the devs, etc, but mostly in the form of frustrated jest. When you talk about the experimental crew here as such exceptional players I think it actually does us a disservice. Many players do a lot of the types of stuff we do but just don't contribute here or maybe anywhere else but in the game. I understand that the majority of the people you are competing with to play experimental do not usually care to play experimental branch at all but this does not make their desire to try it any less valid than yours, no matter how much science you produce. I have suggested that there be a passworded experimental server for us regulars, and I do believe this would encourage A LOT of good science but I also do not believe they will ever do this especially when you consider a process for choosing who gets in and who doesn't and who can we trust with the password.... Stay strong, this too shall pass!

Queue system was announced but you would only know that if you followed the devs/status reports, and comprehended them. (No offense, just a fact.)

I've been waiting 2.5 years to see Enfusion and 4 years I've spent watching DayZ develop as I played it. These problems are tough but my resolve to support DayZ is unwavering. To all the whining, crying, half assed, ill informed, entitled new people here, who just want to trash the devs and offer little to nothing constructive in this long process, please fuck off. I'm seeing a lot of 1-2 year players show their true colors by melting down or spewing entitled crap. This is a small team working on a huge project and the more patience you display the greater will be your reward. Now, go back to acting your shoe size and not your age. Read the whole thread before posting and if someone posted something you were going to post please press the like button instead of posting a repeat complaint/report for the 10th time. The tidier we keep this thread the more the devs will learn from it.

People calling for this to go stable need to have their heads checked IMO.
