Another long day of play sessions, maybe 10+ hours total? Same folks as yesterday but no Gary and StarvingArt joined us. I'm trying really hard not to play Call of Duty but apparently Experimental is the new Stable and nearly every encounter is an exchange of gunfire or some kind of fight. I'm also spending too much time trying to keep my character from overheating (except when driving around, then you start getting cold) and look forward to the changes in the thermodynamic properties of the clothing and the way hyper/hypothermia is handled. Emu has had a bad string of luck (including a friendly fire incident where I sniped him with a Repeater) and only with the help of Luc did I manage to survive the night with the same character. We had encountered a squeaker and as we questioned him and tried to herd him out of town he babbled stupid shit (including his desire for a spark plug to take the off road we wanted) and ran the opposite direction from where Luc was trying to get him to run. Just when we had reached our limit of patience for this guy Luc spotted his friend aiming at us from a hill above the town. We grouped up on the opposite side of the church from where we saw the sniper and formed a strategy. Emu and I thought we had a good vantage point in a 2 story green house (with the brown entry). Luc decided to stay against the church. Emu takes a position in the room upstairs scanning the treeline and in short order gets sniped through the window. I take a position covering the door from the top of the stairs and someone comes to open the door, I spray through the opening with my Scorpion, not sure if I hit him and Luc opens up from behind him, killing him near the entrance. I then I got sniped as I tried to close the door in a crouched position (actually not through the keyhole window, Emu). Luc had the balls to rush my position, get inside, and fought through bugged hands to bandage me. Once I was up he gave me saline but my world was still very very gray. We waited contemplating our options and after maybe 10 minutes ran from the area altogether. Most of Emu's gear was ruined but I did manage to get his rifle back to him and a few odds and ends. ^This was just one of the extremely dicey encounters we had and I don't quite have the wherewithal to pen them all out for you here tonight folks.... I spent a lot of time running a small route up North looting for tires and finally got a tire to fix a Lada. I then proceeded to wreck the car at high speed on a road sign before ever really putting it to good use. I found tires to replace those I ruined, but eventually left the car just needing a spark plug before we all logged out. ^Strange bug where all items in the tent looked highlighted all at once. ^Healing Luc after our first run in of the day.... I can hardly remember what went down. ^Luc offers a prayer to ward off KoS, to no avail. (*2 pics artificially brightened with GIMP)

....I saw the expression "a moment of science" on a t-shirt the other day and could only think of DayZ Experimental crew. What I saw said something like "Everyday needs a moment of science", which is very fitting but I couldn't find the exact shirt I saw online.... ^In a similar vein.

Default device or default communication device is the correct designation for your mic. If you are seeing the EQ move when checking recording levels then you should be fine. Also, if you try speaking while recording this may also verify your mic is working. Lastly, if you really want safe confirmation come over to Riddlers TS and someone there would probably meet up with you.

I believe I played 14+ hours today? Too much to try to recount at this late hour.... Emu, Luc, Dudester, IMT, Gary, all were playing on and off throughout. Light sources seem to effect the skins on our character models. Black hole sun.... won't you fish? The road glows neon from the fire and the rest glows red from a flare....

Super awesome. I shouldn't join until my laundry is finished and I've had some food but after that I should be good to play for a while.

BCBasher, LordBlackwolf, and odin_lowe, are 3 regulars who I hope to play with one day....

I think they pulled the servers down. Another borked patch.... I hope they got some useful data.

Tried to join again, during spamming I had a CTD without error code, and the game completely shut itself down.

I'm stuck on the Novo splash hoping I get sucked in.... And as I finished this sentence I got spawned in. Looks basically the same to me, connect for 2 minutes, get booted. See A LOT of BattleEye kicks. Servers show on the list with -20 players but will come back maxed out.

This is a reasonable expectation to keep ones sanity but I hope for this coming Wednesday.... :P

I didn't catch this.... Is that really the reason? I mean, 1 guy goes down and it grinds Exp to a halt? Maybe he means sorry for no updates to his twitter feed.... We saw some updates to the DB after all.

They should put iodine in. A couple drops purify a PET and you can clean wounds with it too. AND it's quite common.

I know exactly how you feel. We've waited 2.5 years for infected to return in force to Chernarus and now we are being told .61 will feature dynamic infected spawn and the first predators (wolves). The biggest changes in how the game plays are all on the horizon, new modules are being crammed in and borked as we speak!

Whooooa there skippy, a quadruple post? I may double post here and there but you should multi-quote or consolidate posts. We had servers, some updates, a critical bug associated to the log in process was found last week and we've been trying small patches to get back to playable since the end of last week and basically all week long. At this rate we may not see a playable patch for this weekend. :(

Does BattleEye get the 1,000 yard stare? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thousand-yard_stare I've suggested this as a component of aging for survivors, but I know it would be difficult to implement well.

I put him on my ignore list. Why don't you guys report his troll posts like I did as well. The mods will act if we show solidarity.
