I hope boars get melee attacks. Considering they are not typically defenseless animals and are already in a game where prey animals can attack, they should be able to tear you up with tusks in close quarters. Goats should also have a chance to ram you, deer to gore you with antlers, and most of the behooved animals should have a chance to buck with their back legs if you horse around behind them. A cornered or injured fox might bark, growl, or snap, I've even seen some aggressive roosters in my day....

Rocks are proving as deadly as barn stairs these dayZ.
  3. Thanks, man. I'm struggling right now.... I would offer a 2nd vote for Green Mountain. I believe it's the first contamination zone as I recall my character getting mysteriously sick after flying over in a Heli.
  4. Home is where the infected are. And truthfully, I ain't seen home yet. -_-

Thanks for all the hard work devs/all!! Everyday I'm just hoping for .61. I feel delusional holding out hope for zombies in my zombie game but there it is, I have hope!

Congrats on 100 posts! Please spell check your name. (I'm pretty sure you had it right at one time.) You should be able to correct it where you edit your profile. Thought you might like to know!

You're absolutely right about the temperatures and I think even using a thermometer to gauge ones level of hyper/hypothermia is likely not the best tool really at all. I do want to add that I do a lot of high intensity all weather endurance cycling and I've felt the grip of both hyper/hypothermia in pursuit of my passion. I had a touch of hyperthermia early this summer (and 2 summers ago I had it worse) and took 5 hours to cool down after a long, hot, intense, 3 hour ride in which I drank 2+ gallons; my head was warm to the touch even after a cool shower, eventually I started to get a light headache and took Ibuprofen, and only chewing ice with an ice pack on top of my head finally got my head to cool off. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Conversely I've been caught with inadequate gear in the winter up in Albany and have been so cold that I started to have tunnel vision and all my energy levels dropped through the floor in an instant. After a hot shower, layers, blankets, I was still shivering and had slightly impaired mental function. Only after a hot cup of tea did I almost instantly perk back up and stop shivering. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We need a Thermos in game.

Purifying water with a PET, sand, pebbles, and charcoal. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-purify-your-water/ And I resubmit iodine as wound sterilizer and water purification.

It's been suggested before but it bears repeating..... We need cheap plastic rain ponchos in the game. You could keep any backpack and clothing set dry at the expense of high visibility and maybe loud audio properties when moving.

2200 hours on DayZ SA, and wall glitching is still a thing

In 4 years I have posted that many replies because I have followed the development of DayZ from the beginning of the mod. I have 500 hours in the mod and 1,000 hours in the SA and I guarantee you I have forgotten more about this game and it's development than you probably know. I will be surprised if they do not ban you from here as insulting members the way you have now twice is generally not tolerated. Also, I am not your prototypical gamer that you think I may be and likely you would not have the balls to say the things you are saying here to my face, unlike me. You're not very bright.

2200 hours on DayZ SA, and wall glitching is still a thing

If you used the search function instead of creating a whining thread I might have been more friendly. The last thing we need is more ignorance around here. https://forums.dayz.com/search/?type=all&q=wall+glitching This has been addressed in status reports too but why would you ever bother to read those right??

2200 hours on DayZ SA, and wall glitching is still a thing

2200 hours and you haven't cared enough about the game to follow it's development closely. The new character controller module will solve this. You're welcome.

I can try to take a stab at #1.... Cars are supposed to be persistent, yes. Nearly every aspect of vehicles has deteriorated to the point at which they are not worth building or maintaining, yes deplorable. I do not believe there is a single specific blocker but rather the lions share of work/optimization for vehicles is still in the future (many blockers and missing content). The vision is to have build-able cars with many parts needed to get one running properly. (See DayZ trello for some art assets of the many parts.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I personally hope we can also modify our cars and trucks with some basic features. Turn a V3S into a tow truck with a winch for freeing other cars or towing large elements. Light armor plating, and the added weight would slow the vehicle.... Mounting a SAW on a pick-up truck. Things like that, not too much over the top stuff like Day of the Dead armor though, please.

^Stopping by a pond to cool off with ColdAtrophy and schwaBAM ^Wearing down an FNX with infected slaughter. ^Need a Glock mag? ^Yet another example of too many of the same item in one spawn location. ^Camp Atrophy, when you absolutely positively need to kill every mother fucker in the room. ^Too hot when dry, too cold when wet. ^Cold uses infected corpses to steady his aim. (IMT seen peering off for more incoming.) ^This guy tried to kill ColdAtrophy with an Amphibia. In the confusion I one shot killed Cold with a shotgun when I mistook him for the baddie. ^I camped his body from this perch but it wasn't enough to keep his body from despawning. I'M SORRY D:

This is my favorite suggestion that I know will never make Vanilla. A minute chance of Alien abduction under the right conditions. Beam of light, cut scene featuring a gray Alien with Rockets head maybe, waking up in another location entirely.... So rare that only a few people will report it over the course of years. Silly, but I kind of like it.

You are confused as to what these terms/mechanics are. Please, allow me to provide a clear description of how I understand these terms/mechanics. Currently ALL infected for the map are spawned when the server starts and the server constantly monitors all of them in real time. Dynamic spawn is when the game spawns in the infected as you approach an area only populating the map with infected where there are players. Horde AI is when a number of infected become aggro'd in a small area and start to act and react as a single entity (this might even save resources). Now please rephrase your replies with this in mind and maybe we can have a real discussion on the subjects at hand.

    Experimental Progress {Cant post in experimental}

Yes. Some patches within an update might require a wipe too but you can guarantee one when the hundredth place or 10's place changes on the version number. Also, never get attached to your gear.

Try the blue med centers in wilderness camps, and the guard houses in industrial parks if you prefer a low profile.
