emuthreat may have heard WolveZ!

3rd play session only 5 minutes. Bug seems to be unphased by recent extermination efforts. Pitchfork pokes instead of swings now, not sure how new that is. 4 pokes to the belly of the farmer zombie took him out.
-
2nd play session maybe 10 minutes... not looking good. :/
-
Aaaaand, server crash. :( First play session, approx 20 minutes.

Unfortunately, that tweet is 2+ hours old. If they've gone down wholesale, I imagine they are down for the night.....

All of my encounters began the same way so far, "I'm not here to kill people, I just want to see the build.". I know Gary met a neutral as well....

Servers are not staying up long though it seems they are up longer than yesterday so far.... 2nd time in a row I spawned right near a friend.... Hive connection is spotty maybe. Had 2 server crashes in about 30 odd minutes. *Make that 3 crashes now. It seems we are still plagued by a similar bug.

Slim to none. Best odds 1/10. I still say, "big bucks, no whammies, STOP!".

Enfusion Q&A with Lead Engine Programmer Filip Doksanský
☣BioHaze☣ replied to SMoss's topic in News & Announcements
Thanks for part 1, Fido and gang! Some decent questions there but I'm glad you plan to do more Q&A as I too hoped for more information/a longer video... THOSE PEOPLE AT THOSE DESKS ARE MY HEROS! =0 -
Copy the url directly from the address bar of your browser not the share link from youtube.

But the servers only stay up for -5mins at a time and half that time what you've looted doesn't save to the hive. :( We need teh fix fer realz before any kind of release fer realz.... :/

Global message: Servers stopping. I hope you all got what was needed!

I've had 2 "connection to host lost" kicks and it looks like my local server has gone down at least once. The 2nd small town I ran to had many more infected and proved to be a challenge with only a pick axe. A farmer zombie seemed extra fast with it's attacks and was swiping and strafing around me at an alarming rate. The other infected I tangled with performed more like they had in the past.
-
Connection seems solid. I saw one person get a "client not responding" kick. Killing a hermit zombie with pick axe performed well. Not enough infected in the first small town I entered to be truly significant but it is too early judge for the map as a whole.

So much of this. Just because the feature poor alpha was capable of being played in a way you found fun does not mean the Beta>Complete versions will be anything you will enjoy later. It's like any bad relationship with a poor foundation. At some point the versions of reality clash, and both parties find themselves parting ways due to irreconcilable differences. That said, modding will make all the instant gratification versions the "kids" want (sorry not sorry).

Kudos.

This will never work. Who gets to decide who gets the password and who doesn't? Does my 4 1/2 years and 3,500+ posts here give me precedence over your 14 posts for a position on the testing server? As this is still Alpha, we are all still testing, whether Experimental or Stable branch really.... ^It's this central fact that is lost on so many rage filled anti-gamers here.
-
Do you all remember the can opening and ammo sorting sounds that played globally? I do.... I hated that. I am very much looking forward to an all new ambient soundscape.

No, I wanted to show you how much of a knee jerk appraisal you made and to refute a flimsy grumpy point of view made by a person with a mostly unfounded negative post history. And thanks for telling me you're not a native English speaker and that you're in Europe for like the 5th time....
-
Because it's a trend, not an isolated instance, man. That was my central point. As a native New Yorker my grasp of the English language is far more deep and dynamic than most average native speakers. That said, you've focused on one word without taking the totality of the statement into account while affording yourself a small hissy fit. Congratulations. 5 minutes of play, hardly an impression can one make... about "survivability"... in an "infinite" sandbox game; another of my points. I think I've made myself clear, *phew*.
-
It's way too early to make the claim that the numbers weren't threatening. There is no way you could possibly have a real impression for the impact of the new numbers in just 5 minutes play time. Your responses sometimes lack objectivity IMO, leaning unnecessarily to the negative....

Ah, thanks for the heads up!
