  4. Absolutely. Lawful Neutral. I'll help an obvious survivor in distress if I can but I won't stick around too long to see how long his gratitude lasts. Mostly I play as a Lone Wolf who does not trust the mostly Chaotic general player populous.

    I was just wondering about this the other day. I'm not really sure how I feel about this. For authenticity's sake I would say to make gear server dependent somehow but things only get more complicated from there (as evidenced in your post). Some of us who want to play as "purists" are really sort of at the mercy of the people who exploit games. You definitely role play in similar fashion to myself and want to see the game play out in a way consistent with the "rules" you've set for yourself. There's nothing wrong with that but just be aware, people are going to play any way they can and the most I think we can ask for is that it doesn't adversely effect your game. Maybe there is an elegant solution to all of this already being planned that we aren't aware of yet...?

    I think the dev team doesn't rest much at all until this Alpha gets pushed out. I know if I was working on a game of such extraordinary magnitude I would eat, sleep, shit, and piss DayZ. I would have started seeing UI over reality ages ago. I don't see how adding an audio man now is a bad sign. Audio can be updated after a release like everything else. I would love to see a lot of thought put into the audio for the Zombies. A large range of sound profiles depending on the state/alertness the Zombie is in would be great.

    Not sure if 30 minutes of October left or living in the past. Could we just make DayZ standalone like a giant MMO Animal Crossing where the zombies are all friendly and give you new clothes and furniture and talk in funny warbled voices? Wouldn't that be neato?

    I heard if you turn out the lights and say Rocket 3 times into a mirror and then turn the lights on again he appears behind you and says, "It's not happening." My first attempt at a shop and you can't even see the pixels! (Got frustrated trying to make scissors cut out head in gimp and just cropped.)

    More on topic. Getting around as the rat must take forever. Can I restrain a zombie? Will bathsalts be the cure to the infection or if you feed bathsalts to the infected do you get a double zombie?

    How do you get around?

    I didn't properly acknowledge this. In real life my bike is my horse, my gym (I've lost 80+ pounds cycling), my therapist. I ride somewhere around 500 miles a month, mostly NYC riding. In DayZ I never had great luck even finding the Old Bike and I could never keep one.....

    When the SA is released I'm hiring professional twerkers to stand on either side of me and twerk like the apocalypse is upon us while I play. Just imagine 2 Sir Mixalot grade booty shakin' mamas just working up a sweat beside me while I rock the apocalypse. *takes bong hat off* I think the only valid point regarding release dates is Duke Nukem Forever (such an ironic name) and the gargantuan list of games below it that took longer than DayZ could possibly take. What do you think the official Dev time will be for the SA? Maybe 14-18 months tops? For a 225km square map and massive amounts intricate multi-layered content that needs to be shared in real time with players possibly sitting on the other side of the globe? Easy as taking beans from a Bambi, right? Also, I make an awesome cup-a-joe.
