I found myself cornered by novx, Sod, and another player earlier when I was looting the top floor of the police station at NWAF. They were very apprehensive about how they handled me but did not KoS. "I'm feeling Canadian tonight." I believe they tested and drew some blood. I begged for some food which they gave me and force fed me. One guy asked for a scope I was carrying in my backpack which I gave him. They replaced my blood with saline and I thanked them for not murdering me. They thanked me for not being an asshole.

Lag is common. It seems like the "hiccups" described above are common. Sometimes it's worse than others.... There has been little/no client side optimization to date. I'm hoping that some of those coming changes improve performance overall. Currently I find the game enjoyable enough.... Watch some youtube videos and you're bound to see lag. Regarding hacks. They began maybe 48hrs into release. I personally have not encountered any yet but this may be because I avoid higher population servers that might be more of a target.

I've found one so far as well. NWAF firestation. I tend to find the gun quite often though.....

Unless i'm mistaken, you need to eat and drink enough for the word "healthy" to appear next to your character in the inventory before you start to auto regen blood. Eat until you get he message, "your stomach is full" and the healthy icon should be lit. Also don't get KoS'd like I just did. <_<

#1 there is a separate testing branch hive where you will spawn on the beach if you don't already have a character on that hive. always glance the server version number. #2 at the top of the server selection screen there are tabs, one is marked history and will show the servers you have logged into. #3 I don't know why some servers are much darker than others *some servers actually say 24/7 daylight or something to that effect in the name and you can try to filter for that.

I haven't quite seen this teleporting glitch (thankfully) and as stated above it sounds like possible desynch.... I ran halfway across the map last night almost non-stop without a real issue.

Nice post. Good to know I should be looking out for those MP buttstocks in particular (until something changes). Thanks.

my first FNX i found I had 60 rounds and never found a mag before the character was glitch wiped. Currently have FNX and less than a full clip.... plenty of M4 though. :D

I won't KoS, solo or group and I'm an "experienced player". It doesn't matter to me that you would shoot me in he back. I will exit a building full of loot to avoid an altercation or completely move on to another town if I see you from a distance. I still like looting, hiding, killing zombies. It does feel like a fine line between KoS and griefing at times but I always remind myself "alpher/only a game", not worth the rage, not even worth this venting here.... :P

Man! I wish I knew which of you were this friendly/cool when I spy you from a shrub. :( I honestly have little inclination of playing with randoms right now unless I somehow feel 100% safe from KoS, which I never do.

This is only the 8,000,000,000th KoS topic. I do not KoS. I RoS (run/hide on sight). I love when some dipshit tries to take a sneaky potshot at me with an axe and then ask "friendly" after I dodge. People who KoS and bandits are part of the game or it would/will be completely forbidden by a game mechanic (which it won't be). People play in groups (great!). This also changes the mentality, everyone is having pissing contests amongst themselves or vying for leadership which can lead to predatory play style to establish dominance. I play solo and did mostly in the mod as well. It presents a whole different set of challenges and decision making regarding survival. I never ever get attached to gear and no one else should either at this point so if I get killed or lose my gear somehow it might knock the wind out of me a little psychologically (because now I need to round up all that stuff again) but I don't take it too personally. Yes I do believe gameplay reflects not only personality type but dare I say maturity level too. /insert rant - I'm in my 30's and every bandit I've encountered in the SA is some mouth breathing dick on christmas break who thinks he's the long haired leader guy from "The Purge" but actually somehow manages to come off even more vapid and moronic.

Happened to me earlier when I lost connection to the server and then tried to log into a different one. Ruined playing DayZ for the night for me personally. I'll start fresh tomorrow. I'm going to act as if I died to an invisible zombie known as Rocketfoot. Also this topic is stickied at the top of the general discussion forum.

I found one yesterday in a remote town in a random bedroom. I was 0+. That character is dead. The house next door had morphine on the nightstand.

It didn't take long for me to get a solid survivor going, it's true. I would say try playing lone wolf style. Regaining blood as a lone wolf is ridiculous right now. :( It also depends on what experience you came to DayZ for. I am having an awesome time getting familiar with the new Chernarus, picking over the little towns and scouring all the buildings that used to be closed off. In the current state of the alpher I can ring the dinner bell in a small roadside town, kill the 5 zeds that come running and then clear the buildings without worry.

Thanks. I assumed it should work like a universal blood transfusion of sorts. *Warning opinion: If they currently make it replenish as much as actual blood I believe that would be wrong. The way I understand it, saline solution can help put more sterile fluid in circulation to move what blood is left around more efficiently keeping someone alive. It does not replace blood nor promote the creation of more blood. However, in the context of DayZ saline should certainly regenerate "blood" but maybe half or less than half of a blood bag. Also, I just don't understand how a person can be able to use an IV on someone else but not on themselves. I do not think there is any critically two handed operation involved in the IV process (said the lone wolf).

I've only found one tester and that guy was o+. I do not know my current characters type but have blood bag and saline kit. Is it too off topic to ask about saline IV here? Can you administer this to yourself for a small boost in blood? I cannot make it interact with anything so far.....

I'm glad I'm not the only one.... Definitely since update. Stat changes do seem to worsen the stutters. Alpher is as Alpher does.

I killed a few with punches last night but it does take a long time. Punch the head to make them fall, beat them on the ground and as they stand. They usually do one attack as soon as they stand. Strafe or otherwise avoid this attack and land another punch to the head to repeat the process again. You can avoid most damage this way.

I searched for a "thank you" thread and found this. I want to say thanks to Rocket and Co. Most importantly I love the potential for expansion in DayZ which offers massive potential for the future. The mod was the prequel to the prequel to the prequel. Alpha is the prequel to the prequel. Beta is the prequel. Official full release is Part 1.
