    Switched servers after reset (I'm switching between just 2 servers when I have to) and found I was back to the 2nd character again. Zed AI and pathfinding is much improved. All of the old tricks for sneaking and dodging zeds are working well. Zeds can be seen idle from a great distance again (yay). Someone locked a Zed into the hospital I was going to loot and I ran away (boo). :o (Sorry guy who tried to confirm friendly, I'm not feeling trusting right now, and would rather just run away and leave the town for you.) I had this problem once and simply rebooting steam helped me.

    Logged into the first server I played on and found my original spawn with double rifle alive but bleeding. Is it possible that connection issues with the hive are causing the server DC's? Patched myself, found a firemans axe, and some food. I have found an MP5K, a P-1, and now a carbine, as well as the double rifle. Still no rounds for any firearms found. As Ebrim stated, and I tested as well, moving can of spaghetti to hands and eating from the "Eat" action on screen still crashes the game.

    The hotkey bug some people are seeing may be related to switching between hotkey items before putting them away first. When I put my melee weapon away, instead of barehands, I went immediately to my compass which I had switched from my melee weapon before killing zombie. Experiencing server DC regularly (not sure of time intervals yet) which may be related to the "*player name* is losing connection" message that seems to display often. Edit: I think the student contingent arriving home from school and stressing the servers brought out more bugs (audio), and pushed the server DC bug out.

    DC message from server while being chased by a zed and a "squeaker" and was bleeding. Rejoin another server to find I'm a new spawn/must have been killed/bled to death. Canned food was scarce in the areas I searched (though I was in small towns mostly). The only melee weapon I found was the useless crowbar. I did find a double rifle but no rounds whatsoever. Noticed wet message didn't show until I was wet (no damp indicator in text or UI). New military zed (in vest) and a regular zed got "trapped" in the entry to the rural hospital and were glitched semi frozen while I stood there and punched them in the head. Once you knocked them down the AI reset and they would fight back. Clothing still does not show mending unless removed to inventory or dropped. Overall performance seemed good. Random door states are a welcome change. I look forward to possibly having options for how slow or fast you open an unlocked door. Very slow/silent > slow/low audio > regular speed/average audio now heard > quickly kicked in/loud

    sounds very entitled to myself and obviously the people below me that said the same. Reiterating your first argument doesn't help you either. I don't care if you respond to the devs on here in a civil fashion but if you merely complain and make sideways "demands" to satisfy your impatience, you come off sounding entitled.

  10. I'm not for KoS in any way but it is a legit part of the game. That's part of their role play experience, that they needed to repel or destroy attackers to continue surviving peacefully.

Please use the search function and contribute ideas to existing threads already in place. Only when you are certain your subject/suggestion is brand new should you then consider starting a new thread. Thanks!

    The sense of entitlement with this one is strong. Because if they can fix more bugs in time for an update, they will. Instead of wasting time uploading 2 patches within hours of each other. Also, you need to internalize the fact that you are "owed" nothing, 0, zilch, squat, and that you signed up for bugs and wipes and hacks up the wazoo. Now freaking CHILL.

    Be sure you read up on the latest discussion regarding each update on all branches. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/209353-experimental-branch-049-discussion/ Many of us are crashing and the devs have acknowledged that the wrong patch was pushed out. We should see a new patch sometime tomorrow according to twitter.

    The menu screen shows my character from the last update but upon joining the same server I CTD'd from, it loads the correct character. Body temperature stats were not being reported (or I was in perfect clothing) until I logged the 2nd time (same server) and it was raining. At that time the status read, "I am cooling off promptly.", and my condition was soaking just as the rain abated. The cooling message continued and I went from red soaking to dark green damp as I cooled down. Unfortunately, my 2nd CTD (-15mins) halted further observations. This crash bug reminds me of the .45 CTD bug. :(

    I just played for -1 hour and CTD as well (when about to step over a small fence). Door sounds were a nice surprise, things running smoother and smoother in general I believe. Killed a zed with 2 whacks of a hoe and hit detection seemed greatly improved. Zed animations, speed variations, and aggro characteristics, have been updated/tweaked (if I'm not mistaken).

    What "level"? There is no experience points in DayZ. What were you laughing at? You didn't even reference the points I made. I think the appropriate response to my post if it does not apply to you is, "I wouldn't care how long it took me to gear up, I would still want to play a murdering sniper because I would enjoy the effort of finding my gear as well and do not require instant gratification to enjoy something." Instead, you made yourself sound like a griefer. Good luck with that!

    Nope. It's a true game breaker. I thought I had overcome the bug on my last spawn but I just dropped dead after awhile, without even fading in health. Sometimes I wonder, do people even bother to read before they post. :facepalm:

    This is what I call some fast feedback. From Devtracker, Eugene: "Some things that are broken in this build, are working fine internaly, as mentioned this build is a bit older, but wanted to test few things" I get the sense they are "on top of things" and we should see some kind of update/patch sooner rather than later. /insert optimism.

    I;ve read just the first page so, I'm going to be really glib here and point out the obvious.... DOESN"T EVERY OTHER F*ING GAME THAT EVEN RESEMBLES AN FPS JUST GLOM ONTO THE SNIPER COMMUNITY TO BE POPULAR?? PVP is a great and exhilarating part of DayZ but it's only a PART of the experience. Sorry not sorry but your COD/Halo/BF monies will work really well to build my MMO Survival Horror game.... BECAUSE THAT"S WHAT DAYZ WILL BE WHEN FINISHED. Eventually, if you want to play some form of murdering sniper, you might need more hours of merely getting healthy and finding appropriate gear than you have patience for and you will invariably find a game where you spawn with a long range weapon or it's easy to acquire one upon spawning and you and a bunch of single minded folks can chase each other around in a marksmanship equivalent of grab-ass. Cliff note version: There are 100 games out now, 100% complete that will be 100x better for sniping, and have much better competition (meaning you will actually need skill to snipe when everyone else is sniping and counter sniping only as well).
