I haven't been on stable in so long.... It seems like there are a lot less 1st Person servers than there were in the past. I'm forced to play on higher than optimal ping servers if I want 1st person; possibly resulting in less reliable hit detection, and which may be compounded by server related issues. :( Some strange differences performance wise in this update from .50 when it was last on Experimental. I get small freezes in the game more often it seems and I might have seen a small dip in performance in general. It felt really weird to play my old 3rd Person character and see all his gear etc but I found myself saved in a nice locale up north where I can start skipping between newer towns/locations. Upside down pickup trucks have loose piles of 7.62 under their beds and humvees have .45 ACP in the center console area. I found a burnt out tank near the civilian airstrip that had 3 SKS on and around it.

ALL of the buildings are going to get revamped graphically eventually. The way I understand it, new structures as well as the reworking of the existing structures is part of the development roadmap. There are A LOT of new threads that pop up here that can be answered if the OP were to take time to get caught up on dev news.

A shotgun slug, at velocity, within 100 meters, should be a nasty, nasty thing. Probably like getting hit with a modern day equivalent of a musket ball. Yesterday I logged into my usual 1st Person server and found myself saved just outside NWA, even though I thought I had logged out somewhere else entirely. I found the base completely stripped clean of loot and just as I was about to leave one of the jails.... the server restarts. I find a server with about 10 or 12 people on it and join to find christmas loot spawn in the jail. Of all the loot there I really only wanted the .357 ammo and took a few drinks.... the server restarts. :/ Logging back into my usual server I run to what I believe was Myshkino and find what seems like "normal" loot spawn and a good maybe 6-8 zombies descended on me as I half clumsily cleared the town, hoping for some zed killing action. It does seem like the zeds can still aggro at great distance in some cases and other times I have exited a door and found one standing there having not aggroed to the sounds I made in the house just a few feet away. I opened a door and found a zed in one of his shambling routines just outside and was enjoying the qualities of his movements and paused my initial instinct to kill him as I wanted to watch his pattern but he aggroed before I could watch for long. It is funny how small things can breathe so much life into this game again for me.

^^^I felt like this was the case but if he talks before shooting he's not technically a KoS'r.... Bragging about being on top of the food chain as a "new" murderer is silly though. You could have come up against a long string of inept players. -

Overly long arms were something present in the mod as well. There were reasons given for this that stemmed from the Arma 2 engine and maybe weapon stances or camera perspectives, I don't remember the whole story there.... I thought this was something that was not brought over to the SA.

I miss the global text chat channel that was in the MOD

None of you have mentioned how global chat was used in the mod by murderers/bandits to prey upon new and friendly players. If you want chat, go join a public TS for DayZ or join a clan. I'm VERY happy without it, thank you. -
As a cyclist, I would definitely like to see different types of bicycles from parts. Some parts would be interchangeable and some wouldn't, depending on the frame you have. Maybe it's too much to ask for but it would be cool to build a hybrid with compression forks for some silent speeding through the woods.

The mod presented more opportunities for banditry I believe and I commend your efforts in promoting this play style. I'm a survivor who has been robbed without violence and I have turned robberies into trades at times, by offering extra stuff they didn't demand to try to get something I'm missing. Rarely have I been robbed of anything that I cared for much and often I'm left with most of what I had when encountered. Yeah this is bull, man. If I see you first and try to run, you're the same as a KoS kid if you shoot me in the back. If you were a skilled bandit you would corner me somehow, before trying to rob me. -

Just watching 3rd person makes me feel "dirty" but I'm glad that asshat got his in the end. -
None yet. I don't think I've seen any damage to any of my gear since the update but I've only taken light damage from zeds so far. Thankfully, the invincible zed bug I experienced earlier did not result in a bleeding damaged character on respawn either. The game seems to be performing rather well for me in general. I had a couple of crashes in as many hours but nothing that seemed chronic/recurring. I won't say to 100% certainty but I believe I witnessed loot and zeds respawning when I did 2 large loops around the airstrip and surrounding towns. Great job! I know a lot of people including myself are excited to see this build "go primetime".

I get a no connection to hive message when I log in but I have spawned with my character twice. I just led a zed up into a upstairs only green house and filled it full of .22. As he runs towards me I notice all of my bullets fly through him. He then stands inside the room mostly idle and once in a while he attacks the air in front of him and I took a hit. Soon I get a kicked because battleeye connection error... I hope I don't spawn in bleeding with ruined stuff.... :(

My friends father had a derringer that took .357 in his collection. I'm told it had massive kick back. I'm really glad to still have my character with a sporter + 30 round mag..... small consolation for no stable release I guess.

I keep up just fine, thanks. It was mentioned and discussed before you posted about it (shoe degradation). Your post completely disregarded the outcome of that conversation. Therefore, "....you did not read/comprehend the rest of this thread." AND made it sound like you did not understand how experimental worked. Maybe you don't realize your own wording in that first post.
