Hey, go back and read what I wrote, grumpy. I lobbed no insults and offered good information (Edit: in fact a moderator gave me beans for the post). New guys picking flame wars get reported now. Done. If you have no idea what I'm talking about when I mention September than you're not aware of how seasons/weather play a part in DayZ, Princess.

0 zombies. Plenty of loot though it took a really long time to find a firearm but finally found a repeater (only 6 rounds). The game seems to be performing well and server stability seems good. I would also like to add that I too would like to see 1st Person only servers back. I'm definitely not used to night time but it's definitely fun. I'm hoping I just had some weird luck with not seeing zombies in close to a 3 hour play session and it's not widespread....

I had forgotten just how dangerous Electro can be.

^^^Yes. Berezino is the new Cherno/Elektro apparently. -
^Phew... Quick response though.

I'm glad you avoided the murderers. I found friendlies in Elektro recently. It was a pleasant surprise. -
We are the immune. *Mostly ship wrecked, somehow. *We were never without our flashlights and a fresh battery. *We woke up hungry and thirsty.

Haha! Do it AGAIN! For science! :P

I must have seen 5 or 6 hacksaws on the 1st Person server I was on. They were all in sheds. I'm definitely happy to have my sawed off again. I don't spend as much time looting military locations as most people nor do I server hop, so I personally have not come across any grenades or flash bangs.

People experiencing or having questions regarding Christmas loot, lack of loot, bugged persistence, or having doubts about the loot economy and how it's being dealt with in regards to the development roadmap should take a little time to read this post by Eugene. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/214975-reddit-eugen-excessive-loot-economy-persistence-issues/

^^I totally agree. But I do think they could make extra thin or small items like maps, keys, can opener take up no space with default slots. Maybe something specific like vests would make it so a character would now have a default slot for something like a compass the way combat boots can hold a combat knife.

^^^If I recall correctly some people (no more than other patches from what I can tell) are reporting constant character reset. I think I have seen a few threads and replies to threads where people are still experiencing this.

Brian Hicks @Hicks_206 Follow If you're experiencing invisible zombies, or etc (Wells not functioning) Looks like some servers had issues with Steam CDN. Working on it. 1:37 PM - 5 Nov 2014 Dry wells is a glitch. I agree with the rest of your rant though. Also, I'm told this build is set to September, which is cool temps in the CZ.

I would love to see some "generic" servers running 1st Person in my region (Northeast US). It looks like the Central US region and California have the most generic 1st Person servers. I'm sure there are A LOT of people in my region who feel the same.

This community has no where to go but up unless the game implodes completely into WarZ. YES, the problem is partly that people are impatient. Other games being "further along" is not only your opinion but completely inaccurate in that DayZ was developed on a very different path than most games of this scale and is setting the standard for games of this type that are now following in it's footsteps. If you are aware that the new renderer/engine is in the works than use that as consolation for the perceived lack of development and know that there is A LOT being done to develop this game that we do not see in the rolling changes. I stand by my statement of, "if you don't like it, get out!", as listening to the same short sighted nonsense for years has made me apathetic to the whining.
-
The people who leave DayZ because they are impatient are welcome to do so. Some of us still believe in good things coming to those who wait.

Some geared guys were walking along a road in cherno, I decided to join them. after about a minute, all hell broke loose

Thanks for sharing, twig! Stay friendly in Cherno! -
Found every door in the fire station in elektro closed. Open door to find zombie trap!! 5 maybe more zombies aggro on me in short order. I manage to Benny Hill around killing most of them but taking just enough damage to bleed a little. That's when I realize I forgot to make more rags! Running through more houses picking up a couple more zeds, I run into friendly who gives me rags and introduces me to another random friendly. He said he was dying of thirst and I reminded him to catch rain. Soon a forth player was spotted. That's when I split. Thanks for not being a KoS person, noof, and thanks for the rags! Now I can continue to circumnavigate Chernarus.

Watching this game develop is one of the coolest video game things I have ever been involved with. That being said, for DayZ to approach the vision it's creator/s set out to realize, it has a massive amount of work and endless complicated problems to overcome. All things considered, this is the best stable release to date (IMO). Sometimes I try to imagine what this game might be like when it's done and at the very least I know it will likely not resemble what we play today. Definitely curious to see what awaits in next experimental run as well, thanks devs!

I agree with a lot of this but I don't think there should be a single aggro rule set for all zeds. i.e.: Hermit zed maybe more near sighted and hard of hearing, a standing zed less sensitive than a walking zed, a hopper maybe better hearing than eyesight, etc.

First person character is doing alright after running semi randomly north and beginning to starve. At the new military tent city it seemed people had been there long before me and stripped the place clean of the goodies. A Longhorn and 6 more .357 rounds was all I found of use in the entire place really. Only 2 zeds in all of Pavlovo, which seemed to have been picked clean of all the beverages, and weapons/ammo, but still had a fair amount of loot in general.
-
In the past I have read that zed aggro was set around 300 meters. You may have simply crossed the sweet spot in the zeds vision unintentionally. I however do agree that this seems like a bit much and I made mention of it earlier in this thread. I'm hoping to see a range of levels of zed sensitivity across the board similar to how we see them moving or not moving etc. A naturally more active/aggressively searching zed would be easier to aggro.

I was agreeing with you, Johnson.

Drank 2 liters during the course of a 3 hour bike ride yesterday and I still could have drank more, easily. Drinking 3 liters in one shot, much less doable. After having trouble finding a decent 1st person server I finally spawned.... naked and afraid in Vybor. Switched to another server hoping for a quick reset but still naked. Thankfully, I was able to get enough food to strike out north and find some small towns with decent gear. I'm not sure if it's coincidence or not but I did not see a single zed in my last 1 hour+ play session.

Ah- hah! I thought there were only 2 of those "static cop cars" stuck to the map. I recall screenshots of the other locales but not this one. I do remember Hicks saying he would, "talk to the map team" about this, possibly inferring that they would be taken out.... Thanks!

Cop cars spawning in as events again possibly? This was in a junkyard up north.
