But of course. I also recommend watching this: It'll show you the basics of what most stores have.

But of course, hope all goes well in your travels fellow survivor.

http://www.systemreq...cyri/intro.aspx Search up arma from that list, and hit run. It will tell you if can. Although sometimes its off, you can still play it most likely even if it says you fail, you just fail the minimum requirements and have to play in less than mind boggling graphics. (If you could even call the graphics that)

There doesn't have to be a spawn point there in order for this bug to work. Others have experienced it already if you look around the forums, such as snipers killing those who manage to get close enough only to have them re-spawn on top of there body or very close by. It's a bug, it just happens.

I thought all of this when I first started playing, and its not miles off, its actually realistic distance, if you walk in front of a living creature, and its eye catches you, its going to be able to see you. This isn't the elder scrolls where you are the shadow ninja of unseen in-front of someones face. The reloading the hatchet, you got me on that one, its just a function that has to be done as there isn't normally melee in Arma 2. And the reason you may not be finding a weapon is your looking in the wrong spots, they aren't just everywhere. They are in logical locations "Farmer barns carry shotguns and hatchets and crossbows, military areas carry military weapons, grocery storys carry food and basic supplies hospitals carry medicines and whatnot etc.

This happens sometimes, instead of dying you just re-spawn.
-
Don't do anything you wouldn't do in real life. You'll die from it anyway.
-
I found mine knowing about the bug and wore it anyways for the lulz. I didn't lose much just a shot gun and a handgun and some basic supplies.
-
You my friend have an encounter with a sparer. That or he just didn't think a freshie was worth aggro-ing all the nearby zeds. Either way, I love reading story's like these.

PSA: Do not wear alternative clothing in 1.7.2.0!
BobofTibia replied to Legacy (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Announcements & Info
Why should they replace everyone's items in a game that's reared toward losing such stuff in the first place? You'll lose it all eventually to begin with, lets not take time away from the developers just to replace something you'll lose in another 30 minutes anyway. -
Throwing Knife or Knife Using?!?!?
BobofTibia replied to veteranninja's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I think they should allow hunting knifes to be usable as a melee weapon, but I can't see anyone have any accuracy with throwing them. I'd probably never even throw mine if I had the ability to. -
Really? Aww, I actually like it as a tool belt option, saves some space.
-
I suggest the prone option, its pretty much the best option to by pass zombies, you can get pretty close to them while they are faced away from you. Note: Hold shift to move quieter when near the Zombies/Zeds. Another note: You can throw empty cans to pull them away from a area for a short time. One last note: If you fire a un-silenced gun in the middle of a city, get away from that area as soon as possible, it will pull all the zombies towards where the shot went off.
-
Its quite possible, but you need a bigger bag as the original only has 8 slots and most primary weapons are 10 slots +
-
The newest patch increased their sight distance a pretty long ways.
-
Lots of Zombies, but a few days ago, some survivor lured a mass ton of zombies from every which way. It was like a massive swarm of undead hell. And it lagged the entirety of my game to the point of crashing after a few stuttering moments and then to the point of crashing.

Should I wait until September?
BobofTibia replied to [email protected]'s topic in New Player Discussion
I doubt they'd give us anything for paying for Arma 2 just to play DayZ and that's the way it should be anyhow. -
If your looking for amazingly helpful videos, check this guy out, he's helped me a lot so far. http://www.youtube.com/user/dayzguidez?feature=g-all-u

You can also view this video if you can't figure it out: It's pretty easy though.

Hey, new here, after experiencing the bugginess of Dayz the last three days, I didn't actually know all of this was due to the update, I watched several letsplays and lots of tutorials on the whole game, been doing pretty decent really, even though people say other players are normally the threat, I haven't found players to be any problem at all, compared to the zeds. The zeds seem to be able to spot me far off before im even able to get into a city or area for any chance for loot. This happens horribly before I'm even able to get an axe, the only chance I've been able to have is proning and going at the speed of slow while doing this for about an hour before I'll get to an area that has gear. Normally you have to get up so you can use the stairs, and as soon as you do it your surrounded by zeds again, and they are seemingly impossible to lose unless you; Jump in the water and swim 12 minutes off or zig zag up the hill or get to a building where they'll be as slow as you. So I'm kind of wanting to see what the older version is like where everything isn't as irritating, how would one go about reversing versions?
