It's a clever way of whining, I'll give you that.

What is it about DayZ that it robbed people of their sense of humor?

Totally on board with this kind of stuff. Can we think of any other tracking methods based on what we currently have in the game, make this a global tracking thread? - I was just in game and came across a can of spray paint, 75% remaining. I knew someone had been there, but how long ago? So I thought it would be pretty cool if you could touch the nozzle. Wet paint would mean someone would have been there within how ever many minutes it takes for the paint to dry(5-10 minutes?). - With a vehicle, touch the hood. A warm engine could alert you to some near by looters. - Feel the nozzle of a water pump for moisture. Once again, a wet nozzle would tell you that someone has used it within x amount of minutes. And of course a rainy day would throw that all out of wack. - If we ever get empties back, cans of food and soda could also be examined to give us a rough idea of how along someone was there. - Find some ruined clothing, is it dry or wet? I'm no tracking expert and this is just stuff off the top of my head, things I would do. I'll add more if I come up with anything new. I should also add that the beauty of such methods is that they're all text based, aside from the empty cans, so no extra art would be required.

I'd never use it, but I'm not against that. Don't forget, the Americans have their baseball bats too.

In response to your sig...It's a hill.

Here's another one for you. May or may not have lead to a kill, but a solid long range hit either way... http://www.twitch.tv/jubeidok/c/4721985

Some thoughts about zombies and stuff...

Lol. You drink too much Evian. -
What? No recordings? I thought this was going to be thread with lots of nice vids showcasing their long range prowess. Not a single one? This one isn't super long range, maybe 600-650, but shooting from an elevated position so zeroed to 500. He was on the move and in a tight space, so I think it's still a pretty sweet shot... Oh yeah, the shot is at the 1:42 mark.

Boo-urns, hate sifting through the stable server list. It's 90% trash.
-
Are the exp servers still up? I don't want to have to play with the stable branch drones unless I absolutely have to. Ya, I know it will still be the same version, but it's still usually a different kind of crowd.

Well, to fair. Reporting stuff that the experimental crew knew about and most likely already reported numerous times doesn't really add much to the thread either. =P

I wish devs were allowed to call people "fucking babies". Do me a favour, guys. When you catch me being a fucking baby, don't hold back, let me know about it.

That fact that the 'for sale' house is only being talked about now is pretty good evidence of how little people actually travel around the map. Holy crap man, this house is older than the mod. Get out and explore, people, stop cheating.

Or you can just play a game that is better suited to ur limited time slot for playing games. You know that rush ur talking about? It goes away when u know you can get it all back in 10 minutes.

I would like to redact this statement. It turns out it was a false positive due to lack of server traffic.

I think there's a mem leak in this build.

The Trumpet is cool lil add. Much like the repeater, it's a magazineless 11 round option for the .22 and it breaks down, which is sweet. Also, the range is far greater than the Sporter, as it can zero up to 300m. Only prob there though, is that the .22 is as effective as a spit ball at that range. I still had to use the '-connect' command to get into a server though, but I actually prefer connecting that way now.

The 700 is a lie, just like the cake.

Yup, I second this. Was talking to some dude who somehow already new my name and I was a little blown away when he told me that it was because he checked my pulse. Dude was standing like 3-5 feet in front of me. If there's no animation for some guy reaching out and trying to touch me, I would prefer it not to happen. Because otherwise, I would be like ewe, get your filthy hands off me you damn dirty ape!

After playing for a while now, I must say, it does feel like a much smoother experience. Especially getting on and off ladders. Other than that though, nothing new. Zombies are still too few and have all the same behavior. Sometimes you can lock them out/in a house, sometimes you can't. My best guess there is if they AI has already calculated it's path into the house before you've taken that path away, it is allowed to pass through the door or something like that. Pulling out, putting away and switching weapons seems a lot more reliable now. I had what I felt was a pretty balanced run, didn't get everything I needed all in one town, but instead gradually built up my inventory over the course of 4 towns; Prig, Psta, Mogi and then Novy. No loot explosions and the towns had loot in some houses and some without, but never all one way or the other. Should be interesting to see how it holds up once we get these servers full.

Just figured I'd let you guys know of the added benefit of using the '-connect' command in your launch options and that is that the game will auto retry if it fails to update BE. You also get to bypass the entire FE and won't have to click through the disclaimer over and over and over again. What will happen is the game will boot up > you will see that it is joining a server > The game will then minimize and you will see a dos window for BE's updating process > Now you can just browse the web or whatever and the game will auto launch = If BE updated you get into the server or if it didn't, the process just loops(no input needed from you) For me, it took 2 loops before I was in. I feel pretty confident that if we all did this we could fill one of these servers up in no time, making it a little more entertaining for the lot of us.

I wonder how many days of hard work left aligning the main menu took? Was definitely a long overdue change!

Looks like the only thing they've been experimenting with is all the different ways you can break a build.

As opposed to the metal and stone ones or the ever elusive liquid sticks?
