Reducing accuracy drastically

So, the 0 in that 0-18, is that so that pregnant women can compete as well? Also, what weapons do the 1 year olds usually use? -
Lost equipped guns and bag on login
jubeidok replied to John_Raven's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Nope. I had it happen too. I choose to look at it as I got robbed as I slept. At least they didn't kill me. ...and the journey continues. -
How long does your dropped items pile stay on the server?
jubeidok replied to DZR_Mikhail's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
This is untrue. I once left an M4 on the top of a hill, left the server and went to bed. When I logged in the next morning I decided I prefered the M4 over the M16 with the 203 and went back to the spot on the hill and the gun was still there. This was easily a 6+ hour window. I have a fealing the gun will remain as long as you character stays alive, but prob won't survive a server restart. Or, this was a bug with item clean up which has since been fixed(as per change logs). -

Tons of bugs, and ones that allow for some pretty nasty outcomes...if you're into fair play that is. Thus, my number one rule with tents... Once it's placed, leave it alone. Another thing I need to remember, is to save any tent I loot after looting it. Unconfirmed, but I think it might help stop the items from duping for the owner of the tents.

We're making a live action short for DayZ, here's a trailer
jubeidok replied to NinthReelPro's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'm gonna check it out anyways, but you might get more views if you don't start out by insulting people. Just a thought. -
Did you ever pitch your tent and not like the spot so you picked it up and pitched again? That could cause your double tent issue. A bug I really wish they would fix cause it allows for way more tents on a server that should ever be there and, it's just plain cheating. My other big concern with tents right now is that these servers may be reseting to a previous state on purpose to get lost loot back. =(

I drink a can of soda every 15 minutes.
jubeidok replied to StoneColdSteve's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I piss. I don't need my character to as well. I have to go hide him in a bush and then get up and go. So it kind is like he's going too. I find it more concerning that we have to eat and drink so frequently. Humans can go a lot longer without food and drink than this game allows, but I get it. -
Ya, it's wierd. What I have gathered, is that the zeds spawn in all in one spot then get teleported to their real spots. I'm not sure why it is done this way though. Seems to me like this would take more resources then just spawning them in the places you want them to begine with. It's not like they are hiding the spawns, at least not any more with the latest patch. For a while it was. Way less zeds spawning in your LoS, but now it's back to Star Trek spawns. =(

Agreed, there are definitely plenty of bugs with them. I'm just sayin I have never had a tent wipe and not get restored. I have even experience two different versions of this. Tents gone and restored and tents wiped and restored. So there are ways for the server admins to correct the issue when they are lost due to server restarts or upgrades. The one time my tent didn't get restored, it was quite feasible that it was completely looted based on the location and amount of items I had in the tent. I guess you had no luck with ur tents being restored? If not by now then you are hooped. =(
-
I think ur little trick is just a mental trick more than anything. The whole you see what you wanna see. I have never done anything other than place a tent, put items in it, save and it always works. If there is any trick at all, it's playin on servers with competent admins that understand the patching/upgrading process. The server I play on gives me a scare here and there, but the tents seem to always get restored eventually.
-
Check back in a couple of hours, if it was the server it may be back. I've had it happen several times, but the server I play on has always recovered.

To those who say "oh it's only an alpha blabla "
jubeidok replied to mkrrr's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Wether it's alpha or not is irrelevant. It's a "mod" that a group of people put together in their spare time. You're not entitled to a perfectly working piece of software in any way. Take it as is or don't, and STFU already. -
It's cause you made the mistake of clicking the wrong link and getting 7-zip instead. It's 7-zip's installer that installed all that other BS. I too made the same error. =(

Survivors body disappeared upon death
jubeidok replied to despair (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
My theory is that they're trying to log before dying, but are too slow. Fast enough for the body to disappear though. Sissies! -
Cause I think the concept is to kill enough to clear a path out, and then guess what.....GTFO!!! Remember, you can shake the infected off your tail now.

The zones that yields the highest tier and best loot should be suicidal if solo

Love how people talk about server hopping like it's a legitimate method of gearing up. Sissies. -
patch 7.5... Good changes....BUTT.....
jubeidok replied to SCHOLAR's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I think posts with titles such as this really do a good job in explaining all the whining. They all want shortcuts and want things to come easy. Is it really that much harder to type out 1.7.1.5? You see, I'm sure the same traits come out when you play I bet. You don't want to take the extra few seconds to be that much more stealthy, and get got because of it. Am I right, or am I right? -
No starter weapon removes survival instinct, and respect for zeds

Haha, look at your overly aggressive response out of the fear of having those guns scaled back. Sissy. -

No starter weapon removes survival instinct, and respect for zeds
jubeidok replied to breetai3's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Gotta love those posts were people start off with claiming how long they've lived in an attempt to validate their comments, as not to be seen as whining. But guess what, it's still whining. Everyone and their momma seemed to have had a gun in this fictional country. They're quite easy to find. Love starting out with nothing, I was doing it before it was even forced upon me. -

Stop modeling DayZ after 28Days Later
jubeidok replied to Rough89's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I have to agree to an extent. I don't think that infected should be responding to sounds/sights that other infected could also make. All infected have footstep sounds, do they react to those sounds? No, so what is so different about survivor footsteps that make the infected react? For audio detection I think they should only react to things they wouldn't deem ass 'normal every day life sounds'. Like gunshots, engines and direct chatting. Footsteps and the rustling of plants and bushes should seem pretty uneventfull to them. Sight can use a little adjustment too. They see other infected upright, crouched and prone on a regular basis, therefore the simple sight of a survivor in one of these forms should not disturb them. At least not 'till within a clear enough range that they would see that something is different about that one. I also think that spotting survivors through windows falls under the same rule, it would be a familiar sillouette and thus not seen as anything out of the norm. I think the biggest agrovator for the infected should be gun shots. I think you should have to think everytime before pulling the trigger, is this a good idea or not? Far too many times have I seen bandit types able to stop in the middle of a town to cap another survivor without having to worry about bringing down a storm of infected apon them. Bandits should have to be clever about it too you know. I also think that infected detection range on gunshots should be vastly increased. I'm on one side of a town and hear shots on the other side of town, but the infected around me don't react at all. There should be an immidiate detection range and then a wander towards detection range. The wander towards range should be huge, like elktro sized huge. This would open up team strategies a bit. Make a bunch of noise over hear so your buds can loot over there. And on the bandit side of things, see a group of survivors between you and some infected? Fire off some rounds and get the whole city wandering over towards them. Could be fun. -
Hahaha, guys like that will log on the first sign of trouble so what's the point Hmmm, where u think a guy like that hangs out? Coast, near Elektro & Cherno? And prob on some lame arse regular/tags server too....what an accomplishment!
