It is due to bullets being in magazines and not simply just a pool of bullest like CoD or Battlefield. In ArmA your bullets are in your magazines not a pool. This will mOstly likelybe fixed in standalone

I once found two mountain dews in cherno. A little while later I found a car! Carrying one mountain dew is a curse because it upsets the so called "no odds" rule that applies to the drink. If a player is carrying a odd number of mountain dews then that player is cursed. Carrying two mountain dews restores balance to the forces involved with the drink. When the forces are in balance good luck will come to everyone nearby. Obviously the mountain that is verdant has some sort of zone of no balance. It causes people to be delusional and animals to have strange properties. I suspect that there is some sort of X-lab located some where under the earth there. I have said to much and now I must go. -

cool idea! I have heard stories of certain herbs that are equal to the best drugs science has to offer. For example in africa there is a herd that heals burns as good as modern drugs.

An Mi-24 could level half of chernogorsk! Too powerful, unless each S-5 rocket had to be found and loaded. If they were rare loot then maybe yes, but definitely not the arma 2 version.

This would punish people to harshly if they have bad connection. Maybe you would have to wait 5-10 mins.

The Cowarmod and SLX mods do this nicely, you can drag living and dead players to a desired spot to hide them or get them out of the line of fire. Sometimes after a battle I go around gathering all the bodies and putting them in orderly lines. It would be cool if you could cover the dead with objects laying around to respect/hide their bodies. It would also be cool if you could construct a grave or a cross. If you buddy gets shot use could drag him to a nice spot, bury him ,and leave a cross to mark the spot. Around the map there are bodies with tarps covering them. It would be cool if the player could do that.

The only change to zeds in terms of abilities is the ability to hit a running player. Right now a hundred zeds can be chasing me but it doesn't matter as long as I keep moving. There doesn't need to be more of them, but there could be. Obviously there are getting redone in standalone so this will likely happen. Also there are too many of theses damn threads. Search bar people. Some one has to be that guy. /thread

Lets say your low on blood in Western Chernarus. What do you do?? You go find a cow offcourse!! You shoot that bitch and eat the whole damn cow in one sitting. If a person ate a entire cow in one sitting they would surely die. I propose that there is a limit to how much a player can eat at once. For example: The player can only eat 3 steaks every 15 minutes (unrealistically short for game play reasons). Those are random numbers used for an example. This would reduce cheese healing from food. It makes sense that food regenerates blood but if you get shot you can't simply bandage up and eat a cow to get to your normal self. One piece of food should fill your belly and maybe you can eat two more pieces of food on a full stomach. Your player would be a little bit sluggish for a bit because of the full belly but after a short while you would be back to your normal self. If the player ate more than 2 pieces of food on a full belly there would be consequences. Perhaps you could throw up and loose all the food you just ate, making you hungry again. Or maybe you could go into a food related coma. theses are simply ideas. What are your opinions.

Right. This is definitely for standalone. Blood should slowly regenerate over time depending on how well nourished the player is.

If your humanity reaches an abysmally low amount maybe the bandit would be a maniac and could deform corpses. There skin shouldn't change because that is leaving in stand alone anyway. In other post apocalyptic games the NPC bandits often have collections of skulls or other grotesque ornaments decorating their bases. Once bases are implement, this would be a great way to give personality to a hideout/cavern

This is what I did. I was interested in Arma 2 for sometime but never bought it. Then DayZ came out and I bought it so I could play both. I played Arma 2 first though to get my bearings. It is a difficult game so don't get frustrated if you die a lot at first. Once you can do well in Arma 2 then jump over to DayZ and get killed over there a bunch! -
Why do most clans require 18+ players

I am 17 teen and don't really mind the 18+ deal. There are plenty of people who player together that don't have age requirements. I used to play in a group with members ages ranging from 14 to mid twenties. If you want a group, hop on over to the survivor HQ (or bandit campfire) and post a thread on wanting to form a group. You will have people to play with in no time. -
I have been playing Cowarmod. It uses those animations. They are quite useful and I agree, would fit into the game.

Rocket mention in the Eurogamer Q & A session that clothing with not be cosmetic, but actually practical. An examply directly from video: Rocket:" I really want this jacket because it is pouring rain and I don't want to get sick and infect my buddies and then have them shoot me. But if I wear the jacket I will stand out like a sore thumb" He wants this dilemma that players must decide about.

The tin can thing is a glitch. And now where did I say that I didn't want them. All i did was give my opinion on the technicalities. I remember watching a show once that stated that the wounds from bullets in WWI were the worst the world had seen due to the lethality of the bolt action rifles in use. That is why I thought they were more lethal than Minie Balls. The Same show also said that Minie Balls cause more lethal wounds than standard musket rounds. So in my opinion: Musket Ball < Minie Ball < Modern Bullet -
It wouldn't be changed in the mod. Rocket is going to eventually implement loot-able clothing. The current skin is much better in my opinion.

I agree with you. Some Taliban use old British bolt actions like the Lee-Enfield. Bolt actions are much more common nowadays than muzzle-loading muskets. A musket would be a very impractical weapon in a infection scenario in my opinion. To kill infected you want an accurate weapon with moderate fire rate. A musket has neither of these traits.
