You should be able to wear a headlamps with some other types of helmets. Like the motor helmet, a ball cap, or beanie

I agree. Unless your getting hit by a 12.7x99 NATO (.50 cal) a shot to the foot wouldn't be lethal. You would get knocked over and your foot would be mangled to hell, but you could live, if the bleeding is stopped. Stopping bleeding shouldn't be as simple apply a single bandage. The process should be difficult, like IRL. Chest shots would most likely be lethal without armor. Full size Rifle bullets to the chest (like 7.62x51mm, .30-06, .303, 7.62x54mmR )would almost always be lethal unless your character is wearing power armor like Master Chief. Assault Rifle bullets would be SLIGHTLY less lethal. 5.56x45, 5.45x39, and 7.62x39 would cause anyone serious issues if you got hit. A shot in the leg by a intermediate caliber might not be instantly lethal, but without serious attention, I doubt many people could survive more than a half an hour. External and Internal bleeding, a bullet stuck in your body, terrible pain, and broken bones. All these would leave someone crippled. Pistol rounds would still be extremely dangerous. Surviving a bullet would be possible, but you would have a really hard time living. A person with a gun should have a ton of power and unarmed people and those with melee weapons would be in serious trouble. :murder: + :lol: :beans: = :murder: :beans: + :(

Writing Notes, and leaving trash will go hand in hand. You a running through town and you see a pile of cans that looks out of place. You could write down notes to help yourself remember the minute details of an area. It would be great for tracking -

Hey Rocket, here is a simple suggestion for the next "dirty devblog video". So far everything we have seen has been on sunny, happy go-lucky days. Can we see some inclement weather or night footage :ph34r: ? Night time might not be ideal for a showcase of the environment, but you could showcase the inventory system just fine at night! :) Right now the new environments aren't really that scary because it is all sunny and nice out. I would bet that, during a cloudy day, the dimly lit halls of the Chernogorsk Central Hospital would be horrifying. Imagine travelling through the reeds, knee-deep in mud, on a stormy day in the swamp. This would be very atmospheric and would bring back fond memories of Zaton, in S.T.A.L.K.E.R., with a unique DayZ twist! This has come up numerous times. Hear are some links that might help. Go to page 2 of this thread. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/125207-weapon-damage-general-discussion/ There was another thread called something like "replace AS50 and M107 with less effective Russian Equivalent" that talked about gun damage. I have already stated my opinion in each of those thread.. I agree OP, guns should be simulated more realistically.

This is a good idea. Instead of a loading screen that breaks immersion, wouldn't it be amazing if, once you clicked the button to join a server, you were thrown into this cut scene as the game loads! Example: You are in the server lobby and you click "join". After a brief loading screen, you enter the cut scene. The cutscene is simple and its just your character looking into the sky while the game is loading things. As the loading finishes, you character starts to get up. When the loading is finally done, your character has exited the "cutscene" and can go about playing the game. The cut scene would last however long the person was loading into the game. If you had a quick loading time, the cutscene would be short and vice versa for long loading times. This could happen whenever you loading into the game, not just as a fresh spawn.

We don't need armor vehicles and warplanes. DayZ is not ArmA 2. Yak-7b's can go way faster that 370 mph. There are yak pilots that shot down Me-262s. -

Case and point. I made a light hearted comment, saying that some of the topics in this forum don't ever come up in other game forums and you get all defensive/offended. Chill out bro, it just a joke. There has been quite a bit of good discussion. Sure sometimes I am a bit brash, but pads are a pretty ridiculous idea at first. -

As for the OP, I guess they could be in the game. But if sanitary pads have this amazing blood absorbing ability, wouldn't the military use this technology? What is the military equivalent of a sanitary pad? A tourniquet? I don't know. Next OP if some disagrees with you at first (like me) don't be a dick to them. -

That is a step too far in realism. Defecating is one thing because everyone does that one a regular basis and it has significant real world consequences like disease spreading. Blowing your nose isn't in the game because it has no significant gameplay consequences. Same things goes for menstrual periods... You get clubbed for that suggestion :murder: -> :bandit: -> X_X -

I agree with BigMike. Whenever The devs get around to doing vehicle customization (I thinking they were planning on tackling that this fall after Dean gets back from Everest), I would love to see all sorts of jury-rigged upgrades and sidegrades. Attaching armored plates to increase durability under gunfire, but reduce kilometers per liter of gas and reduce speed. A mounted machine guns still have recoil, it is just more controllable. As for static guns, I think this would actually work. I am opposed to most "add big weapon so I can be 1337" threads but I actually like this idea. I suggested it a long while back. I would like the parts to build a stationary gun. You could find a tripod, the gun, and ammo separately -
This should go into private hive discussion wouldn't it. Either way, I enjoy the change bloodsuckers bring. They are not ideal for regular dayZ. The map devs are balancing them I believe. They are like STALKER bloodsuckers except not a fluid and balanced

of course I have. The medical thing is an example. I would like lots of realism. Even if it isn't exciting. I still find entertainment from role-playing and mundane things can be fun too.
