    I figured people would just have to log out in the woods. Don't log out in a city or on a road! :) maybe the player would be spawned in the nearest area where there are no obstructions.

    Yeah I see what you mean. Maybe instead of on restart, It would be based on the server. Every server would have the objects in random locations. This way you wouldn't get any surprises on a restart. The idea of moving junk around as a player didn't really occur to me. That would be cool!

    Glad you agree. Driving should be dangerous and each journey should be different. Imagine the surprise of finding a massive wreck on the road from Elecktrozavodsk to Novy Sobor!

    I thought of this too. I wondered if it would break authenticity. But then I thought, IRL people sleep and the server doesn't restart. I feel it wouldn't be to immersion breaking for the benefit. The pros outweigh the cons in my opinion.

    This and seasons would make Chernarus fun for years. But this is 100x cheaper to implement time and money wise. Hell, I could do this in a few hours. The arma editor is pretty easy to use.

    The reason those guns are in the barracks is because it is a mod! The devs (just Rocket early on) didn't have time to make all the weapons authentic. With a whole team of devs for SA, hopefully they will take another look at the arsenal in this game. edit for spelling/grammar

    I can assure that most people don't like the fifties. If your community does, that isn't a problem, but i feel most people will not miss them in SA.

    Rocket is anti-NPC. But hopefully, a group of players could role-play a military organization enforcing a quarantine. With the new Zed spawn system by the server, Zeds will only spawn on restart, so areas could be cleared with effort. This would mean that "safe zones" are possible. With the possibilities of safe zones, many scenarios could unfold. That is part of the reason why the server architecture is sooo important!

    Don't turn this into another 3rd Person Dicussion. The OP has a real point that doesn't need fuck all trolls to invade. I agree in someways and I think the Devs are looking into it. Have you seen Balota Army Camp in the Standalone. It looks like a legit Military Operation to stop the infection. I think the hospitals should show signs of chaos and destruction. Other areas should be untouched and quite though. Military bases should look eerie as hell. Abandoned hardware, maybe bodies, and destruction. Or totally lifeless with no Zeds or Gear left after a successful evacuation. Randomization like that would be the easiest to add and would add immersion. The roads could have wrecks on them, or be completely still. Attempted Cordons, Evacuation Points, abandoned hardware, bodies, wrecks, all sorts of small things that could add to the environment and immersion.

    The real problem is not that 3rd person exist, it is that server settings are not uniform. If I join a Veteran Server, I should have X settings all the time. If I join a Regular Server, I should have Y settings all the time. If I join a Expert/Mercenary Server, I should have Z settings all the time. Right now some veteran servers are more like regular ones and regular ones could be like expert ones except on Tuesday or Monday except it is March so you have to factor in Pi and then there is a random multipliers and sometimes a hacker messes up the algorithm or something wall climbing machetes. :huh: <_< :facepalm: Yeah... make the settings uniform.

    If DayZ SA is successful enough, they might have the resources to make a big Western City + complete the rest of Chernarus. I am dreaming here but still. Right now what we play on is only a portion of the country. South Zagoria to be specific. What if all of Chernarus was divided up into maps like South Zagorian region. Look at this map! A western city would be cool too though.

    adding achievements

    First off, play the game and then make suggestions. Once you find what you like, dislike, and would like to see added, then you can make suggestions. Simply watching Youtube videos doesn't give the true experience. Secondly, all the things you mentions are achievements. Building a car is hard to do. The game doesn't need to tell you this, b/c you already spent hours building it yourself. You know it was hard to do, why does the game need to give you a little "ding".

    Anyone else miss when you were a noob?

    I remember my first life. Spawned West of Electro and ran for the north b/c I was afraid of Electro Ended up in that little town NW of Electro. Found and enfield, a revolver, and a czech bag. I was really low on bandages. I followed the road to Mishykino or whatever it is called. Didn't actually go to Mishykino and headed north in the remote area over there. I wandered the countryside and found the destroyed village. I explored it and found nothing. Followed that road to a little cluster of houses SE of Novy Sobor. I remember that it was really foggy and it was about 7:00 or so on the server. I remember seeing was looked like a player running in the distance, but I never found the person. Looted Novy Sobor and was doing pretty good. I was out of bandages though. I got wacked by a Zed and bled out in a field NW of Novy Sobor. It was a very fun DayZ session.
