That is a good way to say. Not entirely random, but varied each time -
There already are cabins/houses in the woods... There are plenty of buildings scatted around Chernarus. The village of Tulga is just a few houses in the woods for example. Same things with Olsha in the NE. They will be enter-able in standalone. I feel you will be pleased OP :)

Isn't there an "attach" feature in Arma/RV scripting. Could the devs "attach" the pistol model to the player's leg? I have seen all sorts of crazy contraptions from attaching things to things. There is a video on Youtube of M2 .50cals and DShKm attached to goats, cows, and other random things -

Damn. That's means that dayZ alpha, misery 2.0, Lost Alpha mod for SHoC, and maybe even ArmA 3 will all be releasing about the same time. I guess I have more time to get a better PC. -

OP you have the right idea but the details are flawed. I agree with some of the other post here. I want hardcore realistic wound system. Permanent disabilities and long lasting effects. Wouldn't it be awesome to meet a living amputee :D Some solo options for lone wolfs. Like what "Very Ape" said about wounds. I like the idea of dissembling something to carry it. -

I don't really like killing people for no reason. Whenever I join a new server, I am friendly until I find a friend. After I find a friend I usually become less friendly. I have been friendly though. I remember on a Namalsk server me and this guy I teamed up with flew around and saved some people from Bloodsuckers and Zeds. It depends for me I guess. I have pretty good luck finding people to join up with. -

A pre-Alpha running at a steady 25 fps isn't something to whine about. If anything, it is encouraging. By time the public alpha build comes out and the game is running at a steady 30 fps, I will be most pleased. -

Nailed it. The main benefit is like what you said in the "On subject" part of the post. I agree that spawning in a few yards away from where you logged out wouldn't be problematic. -

Possibly. Maybe the building itself could be switched but not the location. Example. We have house 1 and house 2. The houses are located at positions X and Y respectively. The random element is that House 1 could be randomly switched on server creation with House 2. The building locations would remain the same but the buildings themselves would be unique to each server. I like it. -
