I really hope that they give you text messages to give feedback to the player. That along with audio and visual cues. Maybe after running a long distance with no shoes something like "you feel a sharp pain in your foot" comes up on your screen along with an audible "ах половой акт, Я ранен" which translates "to ahh fuck I am wounded". After this you could examine your foot. The game would tell you " You look at your foot and notice large cuts". I feel like this would be the best way to give feedback to the player naturally. Most feedback should be audio and visual but some things must be written out to properly describe the situation. -

I hope they keep the UI very minimal like what I am seeing right now. A fancy UI with cool artwork wouldn't add any immersion and would feel out of place entirely. As long as the inventory works, it is golden for me. I like how it is clear too. IRL, when you look in your backpack you can still see things nearby in your peripheral vision. This inventory system will inmate that which is great. EDIT: for spelling -

The Ak-74 is only a small part of the picture but, it looks fairly weathered compared to ones I have seen in the past. can't wait to see all the new weapons and the variety of models for each condition!! -
I hope the fly sound effect doesn't play right after someone dies. Maybe after an hour of sitting in the sun, rotting, would the corpse attract attention from decomposers. Handling a diseased or rotten body should have consequences for your health. I like the idea of making a mass grave though.

Caves would be great. I wonder if the engine supports them. If they were added, their location should be disclosed on the map or in vblogs, so that they remain secret. At least until so youtuber spoils it.

Unlike the OP's spawn with Sniper and 1337 gear suggestion this isn't a bad idea. I dislike choosing what you spawn with. That feels very gamey. But the idea of sacrificing a youthful body for a wee bit of gear doesn't seem like a terrible idea. It would have to small though. Lets say the "slider" goes from age 18 to age 50. The default value would be, lets say, 35. At age 35 you get what we have now. A flashlight, a painkiller box, a bandaid. No backpack I say. An 18 year would have nothing. A 50 year old could get maybe two more MINOR items. No backpacks, but maybe an addition bandaid, or a watch. Giving people clothes seems like too big of an advantage. -
Finding gear has never been a grind for me. Are you playing the same mod?? :D

what is the point of scavenging if you start with everything you need... This is a survival game not a, kill your friends w/zeds game. Kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me -
You should be able to spawn anywhere on the coast. From Kamenka to the farthest part of the NE. Some place should be crappy spawns, but you washed up on a beach so good luck!

Six or seven??? How bout 70 or 80 special houses at least. Six or seven would accomplish nothing. I don't really like the idea of havin special houses though. Feels really gamy.

Wall climbing machetes would be great for bayonetting epileptic zombies . Craft a spear with a boyonet and anything longs and stragit.

A hoard would be easier to kill with automatic weapons fired due to the size of the target compared to lone Zeds. But hopefully no one will have that kind of ammunition so that shouldn't be a big issue. Zeds are too dumb to flank. They currently flank due to arma 2 soldier AI and It is quite stupid really. I don't know anyone that actually likes the flanking Zeds.

I agree. I don't really care how backwards their behind the scenes methods are also long as they produce good results. DayZ mod has more problems than Vanilla Arma 2 it seems. Pistol is Vanilla seems to kill decently even though they suck in DayZ -

There could be an option to disable the chance to spawn in a locked cell so that if you don't want to solve puzzles , you don't have to.

I enjoy these talks on ballistics. Hopefully the devs take notice. I dislike the current system and I would like a more organic damage system. On shot from pretty much anything to center of mass should cripple the person who got shot. I would like the victim to be knocked over by the shot and suffer bleeding that can't be stopped my on bandaid. Intermediate rounds and full scale rifle rounds to do massive damage on center of mass hits. Humans don't have hit points. Even if you survived the bullet hit, you would be bleeding and maybe unconscious. While the lethality of intermediate rounds is dispute able, the wounding potential is undeniable. Currently players can walk off hits from intermediate rounds which is silly, to say the least. 762x51 doesn't have the same problems because the character is almost always knocked out from the hit, which usually results in death. My problems with rifles and nothing compared to my issues with pistol calibers. Submachine guns and pistols are very poorly represented in game. In vanilla ArmA , Smgs aren't bad but in DayZ they suck. At most someone should survive 2-3 shots from a 9x18 makarov or a 9mm parabellum. After 2-3 shots the body would be full of holes, bleeding catastrophically, suffering extreme pain, organ failure, and then death. Surviving one shot should be possible for sure, but it shouldn't be a cake walk to get back to normal. .45 ACP should have the stopping power that it is designed to have. A good hit should force the victim to stumble or fall entirely. Shots to limbs should cripple (rocket has confirmed this :) ).
