Either you misunderstood me or I misunderstand you. But I am saying that I like the realistic and authentic features and extreme attention to detail. Do you not want the extreme attention to detail? -

Nope. They have narrowed down the release to a week time period. Not this week necessarily or even next week. But their goal is too release they game in between Day Y and Day Z ( oh god variable puns ^_^). Does that make sense? It is kinda hard to describe what he meant in words. -

If I drank five cans of pepsi in one hour I would probably feel sick. thumbs up for attention to detail. The key phrase to keep in mind while playing DayZ is "What would I do in real life". The game is so detailed and authentic that what you would do in real life is most likely similar to what you would do ingame. In real life you don't drink 5 sodas before working out, so don't abuse it in game. In real life cholera is deadly, so it is deadly in game. In real life radios don't have unlimited range, so they don't ingame. Etc etc etc :) -

Maybe if it was rare. Not many cowboys in Russia -
You might have better luck on the BIS forums or Armaholic. Be sure to read all the rules and see if anyone has already made a thread like yours. The guys over there are very knowledgeable, but like to follow their rules and keep things organized. Most of us are not very good at coding either. I suck pretty bad at coding in the editor myself :D

Requested Post for SA Damage model Suggestion.
m.w. vindicator replied to mick17's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Alright On Topic lets go. I have been playing War Thunder recently. It is an air combat simulator that tries to recreate accurate WWII air combat. That game features extremely detailed damage models for each plane. You can hit fuel tanks, oil lines, coolant lines, the engine (which is divided into components further), wings, ailerons, rudders, elevators, gear hydraulics and legs, the fuselage, the canopy/windscreen, and finally the pilot/crew too. In the game planes' don't really have hit points, but rather components. The human body doesn't have hit points either. If Gaijin could make accurate Damage Models for the hundreds of planes in their game, I think DayZ devs/Bohemia could for their characters too. It is definitely possible. Humans are actually surprisingly tough and, like vermin, are pretty hard to kill. Unlike like horses and other quadrupeds that are as good as dead with a broken leg, humans can go on with broken parts for long periods of time :) But bullets are very lethal and one can cause tremendous amounts of damage. I would be very disappointed if a human in DayZ could walk/run away from three chest shots from 9x18mm Makarov without assistance or grievous wounds like you can in the Mod. Gews and I have had long discussion about this  So yes I hope that the damage model for humans is very detailed and appropriately lethal. Someone shouldn't die instantly from a rifle bullet to the pinky toe. They also shouldn't die from a bullet the skims through a little skin or hits your ear. Wouldn't it be amazing to see a one eared player? The stories would be great and highly immersive/authentic. Seeing a player who can hardly walk because a week ago he/she was shot in the leg by 7.62x39mm Soviet. Or a player who can only wield weapons in his left hand because his right was clawed by several zombies at once. Or the piece de la resistance, saving a wounded guy who is suffering from a critical hit to the chest by using tourniquets, bandages, maxipads :D , morphine and epinephrine and walking away after successfully saving the guy, covered in your comrades blood  I hope well will see this kind of attention to detail. Personally wound detail are much more important than vehicles and underground stuff -

Off Topic haven't made it all the way through the post yet but I just want to mention that .30-06 is my favorite caliber. I just love saying it. thirty ought six ^_^ alright, continue -
My god that is a violent server!! Guy 1 kills guy 2. Guy 3 shoots guy 1 but then is shot by guy 7 who is ran over my guy 4's bus who then explodes from guy 19's HE grenade and the explosion kills guys 12,61,and 30 that were inside the bus. Guy 11 picks up guy 2's AKM and shoots guy 19 but then dies from a zombie. Guy 33 tries to loot the bodies but dies from zombies. Guy 15 tries to be a hero and kill the zzombies but gets shot by guy 3. rinse and repeat hahaha :D

I forseen the first community maps being almost ready 6six months after release or so. They would probably be ports of ArmA 2 maps updated with enterable buildings and such. If Rocket gives people tools to work with, the user created content would grow explosively. Patience is key guys. Wait till the game is a couple months old and then start talking about this. Another way to keep the map fresh would be to add seasons that changed on regualr basis. This would probably be easier than building a new map from scratch, but wouldn't be a cake walk either.

Not the greatest video ever but not bad by any means. :) Keep it up and your channel will grow. :beans:

Russian Community Consolidated Suggestions - A huge presentation for Rocket.
m.w. vindicator replied to DZR_Mikhail's topic in Suggestions
The idea to add text that pops up and says "You smell smoke from direction X" is pure Gold. Magnificent and highly immersive. Rocket, please can we have it haha  -
Just to troll the community, Rocket should say that the next map is going to be in Yukon, Siberia or Antarctica :D Everyone would go crazy and start frothing at the mouth. EDIT: And he should say that the are throwing away Chernarus, "just cause like you bro why not?"
-
One does not simply improve Chernarus just to make it a placeholder. That is insanely stupid. If anything Chernarus would be the first map, with others added in 2014/15 (but not anytime soon buddy) . But getting rid of Chernarus and then taking a year or two make another would be dumb as hell. Why not have two maps? Sure they will release the alpha and beta on Chernarus, but while we are playing the alpha and the beta, they would be working on things that are important like bug fixing. The devs couldn't really work on making a new map and fixing all the bugs/adding new items, and art assests at the same time. You are being extremely unrealistic. This isn't a CoD map that is 500mx500m. Chernarus is fucking 225 square kilometers!!! It takes a lot of effort to make. Be patient man!

Did you read the post bro. Not really a stupid idea at all. It is actually quite logical. -
Make weapons take up different amounts of slots in a backpack.
m.w. vindicator replied to TacticalN29's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Yeah a pistol could probably fit into the pocket of your jeans, while a Mosin would not. I will go outside and tested my theory by trying to fit a large stick into my pocket. My hypothesis was correct. The stick didn't fit and it broke my pocket. I am going to the store to get new pants now. Brb -
Give us a melee weapon slot!
m.w. vindicator replied to Muncywolverine's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
in the E3 build I saw the player put the gun over the should so that their hands could be free. Hopefully in SA, you can switch to a knife or melee weapon while keeping your firearm over your shoulder. it is only logical. -
In the action menu there will menu there will be the option "flick can" You have to do it six times or your delicious soft drink will spill all over Chernarus and kill the plants.
-
Melee weapons are the way to go while running solo. I don't see any other way to do it.

E3 Expo - June 2013 - Interviews and Gameplay
m.w. vindicator replied to SmashT's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
Wonderful question. Maybe after two weeks or so that loot could be added back into the system so another could spawn somewhere else. If the player who had the rare item comes back after two weeks, there will be slight inflation but the server could balance it back overtime by lowering the allowed spawns. I wonder how many servers will be up on release? What would be the best item you could have? NVGs, vaccines, thermal snipers, machine guns, and body armor would probably be the best gear IMO. Personally I think it would be sweet if out of 500 servers only 10 thermal snipers existed. Out of 5000 or so players, only 10 or less people could dominate the apocalypse. Maybe 250 of the 5000 players would own NVGs. Imagine how cool it would be to be part of the elite with this gear. I am rambling though   -

I tend to like the new animations. My only gripe is the instant stop when running. Other than that I like the rest of it. -

m.w. vindicator replied to SmashT's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
Yeah the jumping zeds were glitchy. For me, that isn't as important. I liked the movement and how you could get knocked down. Sure there is clipping and stuff, but that hardly breaks immersion for me. The Zeds are WIP remember and will improve with time. Rocket knows that they are still a weakness of the game. He says so in the Machinima Vid. I am not concerned. It shows potential, which is good enough for me considering it is pre-alpha. I think you have the same opinion as me. Oh and hopefully no gives you crap for criticizing. :)
