Two issues: - If you run 3dMark benches, as i and others recommend, then compare your score to similar systems, same hardware. A personal score as such is not very helpful, you need to compare your score to ensure that you don't have a basic performance problem. - As recommended by =DiG= Zgraphz, just buy a small 60GB SSD, they are cheap now, doesn't even has to be latest generation. I use a Vertex1.

@RawR: Check my Sig and find my thread about improving FPS. Unfortunately, people are ignoring this help and/or don't use the search function. They all just prefer to start another thread in a million to probably get more attention. They are all great in complaining about ArmA, but they won't do their homeworks. You can't help them, don't waste your time. -

It's ok for me, just wanted to help the people, but it's a waste of my time. So please close this thread, it's not updated anymore. thanks, gam

hmm, 10 to 15 is too low even your hardware is low end for A2 - check my sig and do a general performance test first -

If that's the truth, it's a shame. But those kids just can't stand it getting killed, lame excuses. However you'll find abusive kiddy admins everywhere, no german invention. Good luck finding a better server. -

So your "friend" should wipe your hard drive and reinstall windows and a legit Arma. Unbelievable how many friends and brothers have access to our member's computers.

Sadly, nothing really new. What i've seen is he did set HDR precision to value "16", i recommend to set to "0" to gain some fps. And you need to set the config file to write protected. -
You can't compare A2 to other games, it's a military simulator, used by Armys around the world. It does much more realistic calculations of e.g buletts etc. as any simple shooter game.

Based on the movie "the book of eli", i'd just like to post an idea for an end game: - You have to find an extremely rare holy book, a bible or any other - You have to keep this book for maybe eight weeks in your inventory - With the book, you have to visit maybe five churches all over the map - as an option, you need to get a given setup of some or all high tier loot and a tent - as an option, you need to kill a high number of zeds

The movie was just an example/idea for having an endgame. But this endgame doesn't have to be the end playing the game but more like accomplishing an extremely hard mission. It can just be a base for developing own ideas for an endgame or a mission. It's sometimes very disappointing seeing so many negative people in this forum being great in bashing ideas or opinions of others. Usually you won't find them helping other members or get anything creative from them. We can feel lucky that there are some creative and open minded people like Rocket and his devs for develping DayZ.

is E your system drive ? if not, install on your system drive

i'm not a steam expert but follow this exact procedure: - deinstall A2 and OA, and deinstall DayZ commander - Install A2 and A2OA on your system drive (i see a drive E ?) - Update both - start both - install the Commander again and update all versions to match server versions - test joining a server ingame A2OA - test joing with Commander do system restarts after every step !

- added section "Audio Options" Had some more tests : For the inbuilt ArmA2 OA Benchmark E08, i've gained a max. of 8 fps with these config setttings: (It may has a bigger impact for low end systems and quality suffers when disabling AA.) FSAA= 0 postFX= 0 GPU_MaxFramesAhead= 1 GPU_DetectedFramesAhead= 2 HDRPrecision= 0 Don't forget to set the arma2oa.cfg to "locked" (write protected).

Hey, just found this thread. My rig isn't much better than the OP's and i don't have that difference in FPS compared to ArmA, if any difference at all. So there must be something else. Check the thread in my sig, we may find the issue.
