When do you count as bandit?

Like to know that, too. And how do i know / see if i have bcome a bandit ?
  2. gambla

    Whats your Average FPS?

Average FPS ? Yes, for sure. You're the only one on the planet having this performance. Post it on the BI forums, they'll have a good laugh.
  3. read the fuck a fuckin tutorial or watch a fuckin youtube video - short: rtfm over fuck and out
  4. Thanks to guys that park a shiny white pickup next to their tents in the woods, i'm again full geared within some hours. After some weeks playing DAYZ, i must say that i don't want any help after a respwan. Right after spawning at the beach is the, still, most exciting time. And as i don't see any challenge in killing survivors at the coast, i'll look for some action at the airfields. That's all what i feel that could get me some tension. Any better ideas are welcome.
  5. my offer: a bullet, free air mail, right between your eyes. ;)

    Simply surviving.

Use online maps and go for barns to get a shotgun or enfield. You always get lots of ammo for them. Don't go to any POIs like castles or airfields, all you need are barns, grocery stores and churches. But do your homework first and setup your keys like you want them. And you'll soon learn that other players will remain the only challenge at all.

    Your plans ?

What are your plans ? ....if you stay alive long enough to make some ? First i'll try to get the knife and matches for some good steaks. Already got a hatchet and a nice cantine to refill. With that i plan to stay in an area with a lake and forrest. And just being happy that i don't need to loot for food and water anymore. Second, if it get's too boring after some weeks, i'll look on the map for some interesting locations to explore, but will still avoid big cities and airfields. Maybe i just travel around, but still being very cautios. Third, still alive, i'll go for better gear, but still taking no big risks. Fourth, after having done everything i wanted to do and getting bored again, i'll try to get my hands on a sniper rifle. Finally, i'll then hunt Campers. More good, realistic or just funny ideas ?

    Why this mod is failing

It doesn't fail. Let's make it simple, it's a big fun. You're free to leave and play something else.

    Hunting

    Yes, it's annoying sometimes.
  10. I was a little proud of surviving eight days. I got a L85 AWS and all the good gear. Today i climbed up a hill with some rocks on the top. Then i stepped on some gravel (gravel noise) between two rocks and instantly died with - 1600 blood ! :( I couldn't believe it, but it wasn't too bad, had to laugh about it. Best thing is, i never shot anybody with this gun ! ZERO :) Same day, best experience: Heard a shot close to the grocery store where i was heading to. Entered the shop and was nearly shot by a guy. Suddenly this guy was shot by somebody else. I could only hope that this was only another single dude. I was waiting behind one of the backdoors, didn't dare to move and waited. Seconds later the door opened and i saw a sniper in a ghillie with M107 (?). One shot, one kill, with my Enfiled and he dropped dead ! Too bad it was a group, so i didn't make it out. But killing one of those wannabe sniper-bandits in close combat was awesome ! :)

    Problem :( - DAY-Z MOD AND OTHERS

The only advice i can give you is to better post it @ BI forums. Did you try google with the error message yet ? Good luck.

    L85A2 LWS

My weapon of choice, you can't hide from it. No problems with accuracy until today. Will not change it for any other weapon, never.

    Always unconscious upon logging in

Got the same problem. Help is highly appreciated.

Liars cheats and bandits to watch out for

You find liars, cheaters and backstabbers in real life, so you find them in DAYZ, based on the most realistic military simulator. And that's just realistic in a post apocalyptic world, in DAYZ as well as in RL.
  15. No need to change anything imho. As soon as you learn how to deal with zeds and with a loot map it's not too hard at all.
  16. Yesterday and today, at three different times at night, i got three players in my scope. All of them discoed out instantly, they didn't think to escape or fight for a second. If they would have started to run and zig zag, they had a good chance to escape. The last one vanished same time as the shot rang, unbelievable. After playing for two weeks now, i know the game is neither unfair nor too hard. Right now i'm seriously thinking about being a bandit, only to kill some of these cowards.

    The hunt begins

A good point, you're right. Until these contacts, i only thought about surviving, escape & evade. Even kos if i felt threatened. But it seems that the borders of turning into a bandit or playerkiller are thin. That's why i didn't call me a bandit yet. But i don't care what i'm called. Most of these "innocent" survivors are running around like headless chicken, running to get the biggest gun asap. They just don't really care and understand that they have to survive Zeds AND other Players. That's why most of them fail and start complaining and whining.
  18. Good luck being a medic. Not new, but i like the role playing. Would be nice if medics get a special skin. I hope that i don't kill one by accident. :(
  19. I've looted about five of them, consumed them when needed. Thanks to people not hiding their tents very well. :)

    The hunt begins

@Garuwashi being honest is fine, but doesn't excuse anything. It's just inacceptable to play a game with someone and then "switch it off" if the situation is not in your favor. Before i move into any sniping position i try to assess all risks like environment, zeds etc. and look for escape routes. Imho, hackers and this spawn situation you mentioned are the only very good reasons to dc, due to fairness and realism.

    Remove snipers

remove every threat, all - have fun playing...

    The hunt begins

@KennNz Isn't it a win/win situation? If i kill a DCer, great. If he wasn't a DCer than he died a honorable death and earns my full respect. So i survived this time and he didn't, that's the name of the game. And i won't say that i'll never loose a fight myself.
  23. Snipers ? They were bloody survivors that found their very first rifle. The left one had civi cloth, lying in the open field, in the full sun. They had to be shot... :)
  24. Hi, i'd like to add Reinforcements (BAF + PMC) to my ArmA installation. Could this have a negative impact on my DayZ ? If i'm right, it's only more content and gear but nothing is changed on the basic game engine. Thanks for your help. cheers, gam

    Play alone...

Hi there, i'm a bloody kraut too. :) Sorry but i'll not join you. I'm playing lone wolf only, cause RL doesn't allow much more. But i like it, that you young guys ask for company. And a good place to improve our english too. So, good luck and watch your 6. cheers, gam
