Understand that DAYZ is the mod, ArmA is the game engine. So this is an issue for the BI Forums. It's normal that your GPU isn't allways at 100% as ArmA is also CPU heavy. In these cases your CPU is limiting the GPU, that happens often usually in big Cities, and/or many AI units. Test the HDR precision with the value "0", it may be overwritten again. Check you startup parameters against an ArmA Wiki, there is no need for -winxp. What more... if you have some budget left, buy a small 60 gig SSD only for the Arma installation. Another fact is that ArmA seems to run better with Intel CPUs, but that doesn't help now.

Ehm, where is he so wrong ? Maybe it's true that the eye as an organ is able to see higher frequencies. But who the f*** cares when your brain can't process that information to any benefit ? Neither your health benefits of it, nor your gaming experience will get noticeably better with FPS above 60. That's a well known gamer's fact.

You can't see a difference between 30 or 60 fps, afaik the human eye can't recognize above 25-30. That's why TV is / was refreshing at 24 fps, if i remember correctly, more fps is useless. Turning Vsync on results usually in a much better picture as it syncs your VGA card and your monitor, e.g. it reduces the tearing effect. Visit the BI forums, there are thousand threads about this topic. ArmA on max settings is one of a few games that even high end rigs have to struggle with.

As long as we got so many snipers in the game, this gun is imho not op, and a good counter measure against snipers. I see it well balanced. The real problem imho is the mass of all the high end weapons. If they'd be super rare, there would be more balanced fights for these weapons and they who got one would be then hunted. That's what i'd like to see.

I just had my first sniper kill and the body of the player vanished within seconds ? I saw through my thermal scope the body "moving" into the ground like you see after you gutted an animal. I didn't think to loot the body but what was wrong ?

My best life was 8 days. Then, one day, i stepped onto a grey spot, some gravel (gravel sound) between rocks, and instantly died with minus - 1600 blood left (!). I don't remember my last death being simply shot. But that's how it is and i don't complain. I love this mode.

Yes, i know what you mean. I'm still wondering how i did survive popping up right in the middle of the airfield. :) The snipers must have been stunned, that's what i call having the surprise moment on my side. :)

I was pretty sure in my cases. Short version: First time (name: Sk1m), he always knew where i was on the map, spawned a chopper and tried to let it fall on my head, appeared right in front of me but was unkillable. Second time i got a thunderdome-message and was teleported to NW airfield.
