Don't tell me to stop anything, kid. It's a tough game and you have to be tough in it. Trading in the forums is everybody's own choice, but it's in no way kind of realistic in this gameworld. He didn't take any security measures and was betrayed and killed by a bandit, that's a major part of the game. But hunting this guy in RL in naming his Steam account is pathetic. If you guys can't stand being betrayed and killed in this game, just play something else (no offense).

Sorry to say this, but there's nothing special about it. He's just a bandit and that's the high risk you take when trading with an unknown survivor in this world. Same thing as being backstabbed after joining another stranger. Like it or not, i just call it realism in this postapocalyptic world. I see no point in whining in the forums now.

I'm not sure but i guess that there's still a bug in saving gear. So if you looted something and changed your inventory and backpack, it takes an unknown time until it's all saved. I've only lost maybe five water bottles, as they seem to get lost in the backpack. Cooked meat sometimes seems to deggrade back to raw too. After i've changed my gear i now wait for some minutes before logging out.

I posted a cheat report about a guy who obviously dc'ed in the NE airfield tower when all Zeds vanished in a second. However, he had parked his ATV at the hut of the tower and it was gone too. Can he serverhop with his vehicle ?

This ATV shouldn't have vanished. He parked it at the hut and entered the Tower, i reckon at least 30 seconds before he dc'ed.

Thanks, that was what i thought too. I have doublechecked the area, even looked into the hut. The ATV could in no way leave the area without being seen. And there was no engine sound too. So it looks like he's a cheater and scripter. I hope he gets banned.

Sniping fresh spawns is in no way a challenge, but it teaches the newbies a lesson. Most of the newbies still believe DAYZ is about running around and collecting stuff. No, it's based on a brilliant military simulator and snipers are a significant part of it. If some noobs will ever survive another hour, they should eventually learn how to deal with them. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to learn fast, that you give them a hard time when you are allways moving and do some zigzaging too. But running like a headless chicken across the open, or sitting around and watching flowers, is not a good advice.

It seems that people are either in Cherno or NW airfield, the rest seems deserted. I had a little action at NE airfield but looks like that was all good luck i had. What is your experience ? I would recommend to hadd two more loot hotspots. But none of them should provide everything you need. Maybe my long days in the woods made me look so dangerous that they RoS (Run on sight) ?

He quickly drove into both hangars for a quick look and then parked the ATV at the hut that is close to the tower, a wooden fence concealing it. Then the Zombies spawned at the tower as he entered. Five seconds later, all Zeds vanished alltogether in one second. So I ran to the tower to steal the ATV, but it was gone. And i couldn't find it in the area. The area surrounding th hut is clearly visible, he didn't drive away. And no engine sound was heard. He must have logged out with the ATV between 5.05 and 05.20 at this location. Afaik, this is not legit or possible at all without scripting. EDIT: Corrected server name

What language is "dafuq" ? Yes, going to locations like that well known sniper hill in Cherno is for suicidal idiots. Still, my first objective is to survive and killing is only second, as long as we don't get other goals in the game. And i'm playing lone wolf style, so groups have a big advantage.

I'm in the same situation, being a sniper with the best gear i ever wanted... - I don't go to Cherno cause i don't want to loose my gear to a any scripter or a noob with too much luck. And in killing spawns i don't see any challenge. - NW airfield seems too chaotic and can't find any secure sniper position that is not well known, and there are too many zombie spawn places as well Now i'm at the NE airfield and i think about camping Stary. I don't like close combat, you need too much luck to survive it.

If Windows would be on the RAMdisk, what would manage th RAMDisk ? Windows converts an adresse space of the RAM into a disk, but as it's ra-memory, it's deleted after power off. Afaik you need to install A2 + AO on the RAMdisk, and there's RAMdisk software that saves this adress space before shutting down. But it's not worth the effort, better buy a SSD. BTw. The only advantage is the improvement of ArmAs data streaming, less if not any at all it's an improvemnet you see in fps numbers. Not to forget, you loose time again when windows is loading the RAMdisk into RAM.

Disable, for testing, your Win FW (shouldn't be the problem) and AVG. Test your ping at common DSL test sites. And when your Windows is idling, check in task manager your network utilisation.

Please be more precise. First you wrote he can't play DAYZ, then that it's not the problem. Have you been in the Arma install folder and started a A2OA exe w/o the DAYZ mod ? What OS is he running, try start as Admin e.g. After clicking the exe, is the process shown in the taskmanager ?

You need to start the Arma OA exe, not the Arma Exe. The ArmaOA exe needs to have the "-mod @DAYZ" in the startup parameters. I recommend Six Launcher for installing DAYZ, makes it very simple.

What type of is your internet connection ? DSL Router ? There are DSL speed test sites in the web you can test your connection. What security apps are you running ?

Yes, your pictures show a flag with "SS" in german Nazi runes. And some fathers or grandfathers of theses smartass guys lost their life to the SS.

Use DAYZ commander and sort servers by ping. Test the best ping servers. Are you running security apps and which ?

You didn't read the thread obviously, there were others named Hitler and Nazi. So how obvious does it has to get what "SS" is meant here ? We don't talk about cars like a Chevy Nova SS (super sport). We're virtually killing other human players in that game. And imho it's not only "Names", player names are seen ingame and a lot of other websites monitoring DAYZ servers. Theres no excuse for racism.

I'm not a server hoster and so i'm not familiar with any anti hacking solutions for servers. I just wonder if there is no reliable software available that monitors the harddrives / arma installation on server site and compares these against a whitelist ?

Go to the west, lookout for tents and choose whatever weapon you like.

I've died of hackers and was killed by gravel, rocks and trees instantly. But nothing can stop me playing and having fun with ths mod. I just say thank you Rocket and team as well as all server hosters.
