(In response to your reply to me months ago) This is clearly a rather late response, but well said. When I said KoS edged the game towards boring, I didn't mean that I would prefer the game without KoS (impossible); not at all. I never wanted it to be easy. Most certainly the opposite. Speaking of which: What I dearly miss is that era of DayZ. When 'gritty' was a gross understatement and it was harsh as all hell. The early days - and I mean early - are my fondest memories.

Interesting. I've always felt it to be the opposite; KoS edged the game towards boring, as every encounter slowly became the same. However, this is coming from someone who hasn't played DayZ in a few years, so perhaps take my view lightly. I suppose it's rather subjective, anyhow. __ This debate has been prominent since early 2013.

You often remember the first time you invoked the wrath of perma-death on someone, but do you remember the first time you saved a player? I'll start: Back in 2012 in my failed attempt to shoot someone, I instead accidentally killed the zed devouring her; I patched her up and played it off like I was being nice. To this day she has no idea. Share 'ya Mod or SA stories about how "nice" you've been. -

Am I the only one who thinks the mod had better atmosphere?

At this point in time, I prefer the atmosphere of the mod (at least, in the good ol' days), however I do agree with Stryker. What we need is this! -
Welcome to the forums. The somewhat unnecessarily harsh nature of the post you replied to was dealt with accordingly by other users many posts ago, so you needn't have responded to it yourself. :) The passive-aggressive and public challenging of another user to a 1v1 is strictly forbidden until you have reached a minimum of twenty million posts. Chances are, he will have checked himself prior to your aforementioned wreckage anyway.
