Logged in and Gun was gone!

Happened to me to. I lost an Alice backpack full of SD Stanag Ammo and an L85A2 AWS.
  2. I agree with Yeni. I have 11 Rangefinders and 20 NVGs. Heh.

    Why this mod is failing

    >implying this mod is failing Hmm...nearly 1 million users. And yet you say it's failing? Your logic is beyond flawed. The mod is thriving quite well. Bandits are beyond easy to kill. The majority of them suck shit. Also, bandits aren't the problem. Get your facts straight. It's the murderers that are, not bandits. Learn to differentiate. I have over 100 murderer kills [although, the monitor labels them as "bandits"] on my secondary account within two weeks.

    FML

    Why can't you move?
  5. Inception.

    FML

See if you can get a weapon from his backpack if he has one [unlikely], but you could always try...Other than that, get yourself killed.
  6. What are the most common places for fueltank parts to spawn? Excluding Cherno, Elektro, any coast places [due to distance], NWAF, Starry/Novy.

    Vehicle help?

So I left my ATV in a secret spot, and went looking for engine parts because it's former owner [;D] couldn't drive for shit. The server restarted for a few hours, and eventually I died on another server. If I saved the vehicle, will it still be there? The server restart and me saving it happened yesterday.

    Vehicle help?

Should be, hopefully. I had at least 30 stanag rounds and some high-value weapons in there...hopefully it's not gone :S
  9. Inception.

    Vehicle help?

Oh so even not saving it makes it still be there after server restart? Brilliant; thanks a lot!

Into the mind of a bandit.

Well I met a guy about a month ago near Cherno...he wasn't armed, so I gave him my revolver. You know what? He didn't shoot me. We then went to his camp and I was accepted into his group...we've been playing ever since. They've never shot me.

    STANAG ammo

Hackers can spawn whatever the fuck they like. These spawn at crashed heli sites and other military places [i think]; I found one at a heli yesterday.

Into the mind of a bandit.

    They're not bandits, they're murderers.
  13. Oh shit, I'm fucking scared. Hold me. :(
  14. Okay so I need some answers. I was playing on a server [NZ 24] and it randomly said "No message recieved" blah blah blah, so I aborted. Now, when I go back and try to join the server, it has a red X, version is incorrect...etc. It doesn't show the players, either. Any help? I need to know how long it may take to come back, as my vehicles are on there. Perhaps it was a server restart?
  15. Inception.

    Server randomly gone offline?

    Eh wait...that's NZ 26.
  16. Inception.

    Server randomly gone offline?

    Hmm..thanks man.
  17. Inception.

    M1911 or G17?

Okay, say I had an M1911 w/ 7 mags and a G17 with 2 mags. Which one should I pick?

STEAM KIDDOES IS TO BLAME :D

...Seriously? It's a matter of maturity, not age. Not every person under 15 is like that.
  19. Because it makes it easier when I don't have a compass or a GPS. Of course, that's not really realistic, though.
  20. Someone on this forum was asking for medical attention as he was at 3000 blood, in the Zelenogorsk supermarket. I was near there, so I decided to help him out. We arranged a server and what we would do to ensure we both leave alive. I did not know whether or not it was a trap, but that didn't matter. I would judge his stance as friendly or enemy when the time came. So I arrived on the hill in view of the supermarket and told him to log in. I needed to take a look at him before I gave him a transfusion. He logged in, and I told him to then crawl to the front of the supermarket [the two glass doors] and lay there. But, suddenly, a zombie had spotted him and starting to attack him. He was knocked unconscious and the zombie began to feast on his flesh. It was then that I knew I had to help him...so I started to sprint across 500 meters of open field that held 60+ zombies [yes, 'twas true] on it. Now, beforehand, I had loaded up The Dark Knight Rises main theme and let it load. My internet loads Youtube videos slowly. Just moments after I started to run across the field, the video finally loaded and started to play... Picture this: The Dark Knight Rises theme music in the background of a lone player sprinting across the field with approximately 65 hungry zombies/infected behind him. How epic is that? So I'm running with the infected on my tail...and then the guy's name that I was supposed to help popped up the killfeed saying that he was dead. A wave of guilt went over me. No time to turn around and shoot; not enough ammo to eradicate all of them. When I get to the road just before the supermarket, around 30 more zombies come from within the town; I now have 105-ish zombies on me. I enter the supermarket and start firing my Enfield into the flesh of the infected. [Remember, the music is still playing.] There are around 70 zombies coming in from the front of the supermarket...I'm cornered. After taking out some zombies I run out of ammo. "This is the end", I thought. But when I walk to the back on the supermarket, what do I see? An Enfield with 6 mags. Lucky me. I pick them up and resume firing. But then, I notice that there are zombies missing. Moments later, what do I hear on direct communication? "Need some help there, buddy?" As soon as he says that, 0:44 of this video [ ] begins. He runs in from the back door and runs to the back where I am. "Leave," I say. "Make a run for it. Don't waste your character's life." He responds with "No way; this is fucking epic. I'm staying 'till the end." Fine by me; another Enfield in the hands of another player is great. I knew that he wouldn't kill me, because then he would half the chance of surviving 100 or so zeds. He starts firing with me. [Remember again, the music is still playing, so this is beyond epic.] In about three minutes, we finish of the remaining threats. The bodies lay along the front of the supermarket and the road outside of it. You can't see the ground; all you can see are the corpses. It's a spectacular view. I start to hide the dead zed's bodies so I can find the player's body who I was going to help. Food...lots of food. He had a shittone. My zombie slaying buddy asks "what happened to him?" I then tell him the story, right up until the part where he comes and helps. When thank each other, exchange items and go our separate ways. So, that's the end of that. What an experience; what a site. If I had more time, I would have recorded/screenshotted it for you guys, but I didn't, so I apologise. This brings me to a thought that other also share: Rocket, give us zombie herds that roam in the fields. It will make more epic events like this happen.
  21. I'm almost certain that the majority of "Bandits" in this game are not in fact bandits, but they are merely "murderers". Don't mislabel yourself. EDIT: Thread was the wrong word, sorry.
  22. I don't really care about anything else in there except for waypoints. I REALLY do like them. Also, 3rd Person is handy.
  23. Inception.

    We need a "murderer" thread.

No, I'm justifying what a true bandit would do.
  24. No graphical glitches, no stupid errors, no over-the-top bugged zombies, no hackers...nothing. Even for the first time in my DayZ career has everything run so smoothly. I was playing on a US server last night [so I had 250+ ping] and it was beyond smooth; no frame rate lag...nothing of the sort. I then switched to an AU server [for I am Australian] and had < 50 ping, but it seemed like I was playing single player, as the infected died as soon as I pumped the sufficient rounds into them. Everything seems perfect for me. I hope the best turns out for the rest of you. EDIT: It appears that I'm not alone. Hooray!
