Well, it depends. In some cases being alive for longer than someone else may show that you are a better player, but you could always just only played on low population servers. So I guess it does show a bit of skill. And yes, if you log out your character's gear saves automatically. You will have all of it next time.

What tools, weapons or zombie kills do not completely justify one's intelligence, ability and professionalism. One could stumble upon an M249 SAW and make their way to the airfield on an empty server, and just rack zombie kills up there. It's easy, I've done it before. Practice makes perfect. Watch some videos. Ask various experienced players a few questions here and there. You'll learn. And your character will save, regardless of the amount of time played [excluding server lag, of course. You should wait a few minutes before logging off after you originally planned to log off]. Although, if you played on a private hive server, you character will ONLY save to THAT server. Be aware of this. And what Wazza means with your title is to change it as it was grammatically incorrect. [intelligence should be intelligent. I'll edit it for you, before the flames burn you to a crisp.]

1. Private Hives are the go-to servers at this point in time. Find a good one in your region that has active admins and perhaps a good anti-cheat system. Private Hive owners are also allowed to customise their servers however they like [more vehicles, etc]. 2. Bandit skins are given to you when you kill a player that does not have a bandit skin on them [so, it would be classified as a 'murder']. A hero skin is given to you once you have reached 5000 humanity [humanity is gained by bandaging other players, blood transfusing them, etc. Although as of the latest update you can no longer see your humanity, so I suppose you just have to keep transfusing until you are transformed into a Hero. 3. Dogs are not in the game as of yet. The lastest update is 1.7.3. This update has brought us a anti-ALT+F4 system. If you fire a weapon, throw something [flare, grenade, can, etc], a 30 second timer will appear in the top right corner of your screen. You cannot ALT F4 nor can you abort whilst the time remains. Shooting/throwing again will reset your timer to 30. Also, if a bullet is fired or something is thrown by a player near you, or a bullet hits you/hits near you, the timer will be activated. That is one of the major updates implemented in 1.7.3. It is the only map to contain snowy areas and underground places. Weapons, ammo and equipment are easy to find, but food is scarce. If I have made a mistake, I would appreciate a correction. Have you restarted your game since and played? This problem occurred to me months ago. Restarting the game solved it. For me, at least.

Whenever I become bored, and I have a helicopter [in DayZ, of course], I turn towards the God of Terrorism and he shows me the light. I was playing on Namalsk and came across a chopper. Fixed it up quickly, blah blah, and flew it around. Approximately 23.351235 minutes later, I spotted a convoy heading towards the Northern Army Base [it consisted of a 2 URALs, an offroad, a UAZ, and two bikes, all being manned by one person to each vehicle, of course. So, six players all up in the convoy]. Being the bored person I was, I flew my chopper into the convoy. Blah blah blah, everything exploded and we all died. I am then banned for "DONT FUCKIN FLY CHOPPERS INTO VEHICLES U STUPID CUNT" [exact wording, as well]. Now then, I ask, do you think it was right for the admin to ban me for such an act? I certaintly do not think so. Enlighten me, is it against server rules to suicide in order to make some fireworks? DISCLAIMER: This is not a ban appeal, nor is it a server report.

Wow, this is probably the friendliest post I've read all week. Congratulations, Mile, you have just been aided by some really great people.

If you're at the airfield/somewhere where it is a common place for good loot and you plan to stick around and loot, but you have knowledge that there is one or more players stalking you with NVGs...throw flares. Everywhere. It will make NVGs completely useless, I can guarantee you that.

Mmm, I personally would like it to stay exactly where I am.
