Trust me, I'm aware of WarZ. I've even registered for it myself. As much as I'm looking forward to give it a try, it's a softcore version of what DayZ is. So I won't be leaving DayZ for WarZ.

Yes, it's possible that you just connected to a server that is not connected to the Hive. Try another server. Or if you meant you were shot while you were loading, that is also possible, in which case, start over.

Mountain Dew itself is not really "worth" anything more than any other drink. it's just extremely rare. Likely the rarest item in the game.

The bullet drop is exaggerated(a little) in that quote, but bullets do drop. And if you're shooting in 3rd person, the crosshair is far from accurate.

Private servers are not allowed in DayZ.

The thing is just that you need to tell yourself that if you just spawn in Cherno/Elektro,you just have to do as quick run as you can, and you can get a crapload of stuff in no-time. Especially on US 1. The towns were filled with Crossbows, drinks and food.

I help people every chance I get. I was in the NW Airfield with an M107 and saw zombies across the runway.. They weren't spawned by me. So I asked in Side-Chat if anyone was there, and that they'll live if they tell me. So, Convar called out "THAT'S ME, DON'T SHOOT!" and I didn't. I teamed up with him, looted the Airfield, gave him a Blood Transfusion, and we separated a few hours later, both alive.

I've died just recently, bearing an M107 with 4 clips, M16A2 M203 with 9 clips and 4 HE Grenades, and G17 with 2 clips. I also had all the tools besides the Toolbox, along with NVG and Rangefinder. You should've known that he was a hacker from the moment you saw a G36C. Those aren't in DayZ.

1. The game isn't out yet, not even closed beta, so you can't possibly know if it'll fall flat on its ass. 2. DayZ is a MOD, War Z is an ENTIRE GAME on its own engine. Of course DayZ seems worse because the damn engine is not optimized for crap and it's buggy as hell, which has nothing to do with DayZ. 3. DayZ is going to be an independent game as far as the dev team has told us, so how can you tell that DayZ, as its own game, won't blow War Z out of the water right off the bat? Oh you, silly trolls. ♥ Edit; I have to say, though, that I am kinda excited to see War Z come out. But even if it's way better than DayZ now, I'll surely stay in DayZ. Especially when it moves out of ARMA 2.

I love and hate this forum. I love the input some people are able to put into the mod. I love reading poor trolling attempts such as yours. I love seeing people sharing advice and grouping up on the forums instead of just shooting on sight in-game. I hate how stupid and lazy some people are, like using the search. I hate seeing new players coming to the forums to cry about being killed by a bandit. I hate seeing new players demand something for/from the mod, because they don't like something. I hate seeing entitled assholes who consider themselves as "customers" of a "game" when all they did was buy ARMA 2 and OA.

Use the damn search. Not only have I personally seen over 15 topics like this in the past month, but Rocket himself has told that the netcode of ARMA 2 makes the adding of a delay impossible. Do you really think that NOBODY hasn't come up with this simple solution before you?
