It's an alpha, and as such, you should expect bugs and to lose everything you have for no apparent reason. You are testing a mod, not playing it. Though, yes, that kind-a sucks. Edit; -
Map markers that i did not place?

If it's a blue mark, you're playing on a server where player markers are enabled. This is standard for ARMA 2. If it was a black X with a circle in it, it's a player placed static marker that can only be seen by the people who are in the same team as you. But in DayZ, everyone is in the same team, according to the game. And you most likely have a Ghillie suit. Wearing it will automatically classify you as a Sniper. -

If there are safe / stable servers, that will very quickly change when someone mentions any, publicly. I personally haven't been playing for a while (Like 3 weeks), but I still keep visiting the forums to help people and argue with imbeciles. -

Sell out? Rocket made a FREE mod that has over a million unique players. Let him have some fucking credit for wanting to improve it. You have never once paid for DayZ. You are not losing anything just because Rocket isn't pumping out a patch this week.

Humanity is bugged. It's supposed to reset, and you're supposed to spawn with 2500 humanity. Me, I spawn with -83'000 humanity. It's almost an insult to me because I've been a friendly ever since I started playing the mod pre-1.7.1.5. D: -

Heard about remote console? RCON? It's not illegal forbidden to use an RCON.
