Rocket never intended to make a mod this big. He was expecting around 30'000 - 50'000 players for his mod. He never asked for this, stop being SO entitled. You are correct, we should laugh at those who use the "Alpha" excuse. Because the ARMA 2 engine was built extremely trusting of the player, allowing them to use scripts and modify the game in almost endless ways. This creates infinite loopholes that people can abuse, and BattleEye isn't enough to plug those holes. Glitches aren't always fixable by the developers, and having created a Hive server instantly implies lag, when ARMA 2 wasn't exactly built to support the idea. Most of the problems people are complaining about are because of the base game, not the mod.

They troll to get a reaction -- which carried fruit once again. Edit; Well damn, you beat me to it in the next sentence I read. Edit2; Let me go back several years, when the word "trolling" wasn't used as a synonym to everything people did that you didn't like. People do stupid things to other people to get a reaction from them. I have to say that it is quite amusing to sit in a deerstand next to a road with a DMR and shoot right next to a guy who is either running or crouching, and watch them run around in panic and zig-zag their way to the nearest bush and disconnect. Edit3; I know you said that you're not looking to get an answer as to why people troll, but that's what you get for placing a QUESTION in the title, as well as doing nothing besides talk about trolling, and mentioning the same question again.

Agreed with both of your points. Then again, you can find a LOT of scripts for free, quite easily. -
Being a kid is not a bannable reason. And you don't have to be 18 to use Steam.

It was immune to damage while Dragon was piloting it. -

That wouldn't really make sense. Ban someone from the mod but not from the mod's forums. And, Just because there's a guy here under the name of SexyDragon, doesn't automatically mean that he plays under that same name in-game. I'm an exception, however. I changed my name to this so people would know who I was on the forums. -

Yeah? Could still be a coincidence. A lot of people have a helicopter at least in one point of their time on DayZ. I have to give you a little credit. It was only 3 days ago, but I wouldn't bet my money on it. Edit; Okay, so he is canadian. Another point. But that's irrelevant considering the fact that a good enough connection will give you 100 ping from across the ocean. I only get 120 ping to Dallas servers. -
Are they Heinz? They better be Heinz. God I love Heinz.

Alright, I'll take your word for the first thing for now. And I re-watched the video and you're right. I can see multiple shots going at your legs when you fall over. But still, can you prove that the guy in the video is the guy here on the forums? I don't see why anyone would use the same in-game name here on the forums, especially if they were a hacker. Edit; Since you posted a video here, publicly, a hacker could easily make a new profile with your in-game name. Then what are you going to do, after someone comes here with a video, calling you a hacker with obvious video-footage of you spawning vehicles, teleporting others and yourself, and doing other things? -

So you saw some guy in-game with the same name as here on the forums. Now give us solid proof that the guy in-game IS the guy here on the forums. There's nothing else similar besides the name. Edit; In the first clip, yes, you did kill SexyDragon, and got shot afterwards. You tell us that it was a silenced shot. But since there is no sound, you can't really prove to us that it was actually a silenced shot. Why is the sound missing, but added in the next clip? Edit2; Maybe people from Canada have a 100 ping to Dallas servers. But there are other factors such as internet connection. I used to have 150 ping to a Finnish server, while I AM Finnish and playing from Finland. And, is Canada the only country that can get 100 ping on Dallas servers? -

^ All of you guys are having the BEST of it. I can't leave my room. I moved my desk to the opposite side of my room from where it was. All because I'm TERRIFIED of doors.. Edit; Holyfuck my roomie just brought something into my room. I live for another day. Karma will take me soon, I tell you.

Some people just want to watch the world burn. Cheaters do what they do for many reasons. Others simply say "fuck all" and cheat because others do it. Some do it to see how people react, hearing them cry out for help or "STOP!" over chat. Cheats = Power. Some might fight fire with fire, as we've seen on the forums. They cheat to kill cheaters. But what happens when they get bored or want to see how something works, or THINK someone is hacking, when they're not? Innocent people get caught in crossfire. Edit; Are you done spamming?

Hackers are ruining this game
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to DonkiiPuncH's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
If a game or a mod does as little as EXIST, it can be hacked. There is no way in this world that anyone could create something that was 100% unhackable. It can be made hard, but never impossible. Especially in the case of ARMA 2 and BattleEye. Both of them have such deep flaws that "hackers" can use as simple things as scripts to hack in the game. They don't need any fancy .dll files or third-party hack programs. -
Hackers are ruining this game
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to DonkiiPuncH's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
"As the title suggests, hackers are ruining this game. Now yes, I know its still a work in progress so to speak, but it seems that surely more can be done to stop these sad people who ruin hours of work..." Even if the mod was finished, it wouldn't have any less hackers. The mod, Rocket or his team cannot do anything about the hackers. It's impossible. The end. -
Confirmed Scripters in logs. Who do I contact to get them banned?
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to Donkamints's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
You can't contact anyone to get him Global Banned by BattleEye. Only from the DayZ hive, at most. -

Quick question regarding "hacking"
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to TheGuiltyCrown's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Insta-ban, most of the time. -
I think it's not worth it to make a thread about clan wars on the official forums. (Due to hackers, like you guessed.) Sure, some might use PMs to spread the word or other forums. But not here.

I've just wasted 8 hours - STUCK IN DEBUG PLAINS
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to irsean1's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Or you could, you know, stalk the frontpage of the forums for about 10 minutes to see what server is getting attacked and go THERE.. -
I've just wasted 8 hours - STUCK IN DEBUG PLAINS
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to irsean1's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Because if you go onto a server that has a hacker in it, the hacker might teleport you back into the map and kill you. That way you don't risk getting banned completely, AND get out of the plains. -
My ten minute adventure in DayZ
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to chris p. bacon's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
ALPHAAAAAAAAA! Here's a fun fact. The hacker problem has nothing to do with the mod being in alpha-stage. It's the loopholes in the ARMA 2 engine and incompetence of BattleEye. -

Good luck risking yourself being Global Banned or your CD key getting stolen. I suggest you find a server that's under attack by a hacker and go there.
