Do you know what Permadeath means? Other than having to start over? Your character knows what you experienced during his life. When you get shot, your character doesn't magically have the last thought "DAMN YOU, JOHNSMITH!" and flop over. There's stuff like this in games/mods that don't have a "real" permadeath, too. It's the NLR, or "New Life Rule", which states that you can't run back to your killer for a revenge after you respawn. (Example would be Garry's Mod RP-servers.)

Debug menu was removed exactly for it's purpose: Debug. You don't need it. Most of the time you die in 1-3 shots anyway with full blood. Exact numbers don't matter. And it should reduce the bandit activity at least a little bit, because, like you said, you can't easily keep count on how many people you've killed. Enjoy.

Sharing my playstyle for the shake of playstyle-sharing. *Draws a circle of 10m radius.* This is my space. Nobody gets in my space. If you are in my space, you will get shot. If I approached you to make you stand in my space, you don't point your gun at me. If those rules are followed, I will never shoot unless shot at. I help people every chance I get. I'll go as far as to let them loot first, if I happen to group up with someone, while I'm guarding the entrance in case of zombies and people. If I see a player in the distance, no matter if he has a Makarov or an AS50 and Ghillie suit, I'll go around them. I enjoy being stealthy more than drunk from bloodlust. Whenever I'm playing with my friends, I'm the spotter for the group. If I see someone(read: you), your life is in my hands. I'll let the group know where you are and most of the time I decide whether we take the shot or not. But I'll be the last one to shoot. I have my volume as high as possible(Though not high enough to make me deaf.) So I'll hear anything and anyone in the proximity. I'll be the one who decides the routes through villages, towns and even cities. I'm that pawn you can send in first to see if there's a player in the room, as I'm probably the fastest one of our group to find my way to where I need to go, alive.

Shooting out of fear is easily explained. You were afraid. You paniced and didn't know what else to do. No matter what your play-style is, or even moral values in real life, if you are holding a gun and you panic with no way out of the situation, you will most likely pull the trigger rather than wait to see if you're going to die or not. (And to say it once again, it's the same situation, both, in-game and in real life.)

1.a. The fly sound can bug after you hide a body. It'll fix itself on server restart. 1.b. Those who disconnect when they get killed will have their bodies auto-hidden, which most likely also bugs the sound. 1.c. There can be a mass-grave nearby. 2. Hatchets have a very small model, and the aiming is a little tricky. Best you can do is try to get it in first-person

I agree with the red text. But. Hosting a private server is completely free. And, just because you're paying for a server, doesn't mean you can say fuck-all and make up your own rules.

I agree with both, the OP and Wosret. Yes, people with color-blindness of sorts will have a hard time with the original red/green shades for the icon. But on the other hand, a health bar would completely remove the worry of your blood level while you play. Simple solution would be some sort of a color-blindness mode, like some AAA games have done. (First thing that comes to mind is BF3. Then again, I never used it so I don't know if it's any good/how it works.)

The video doesn't prove anything. You didn't even inspect the body that you had found. For all we know, you could've spawned the items around someone's body yourself and slap someone else's name on the poor guy.

Just make your own private hive server. Though the bad part is you can't take your loot to other servers. And, it's an Alpha, you shouldn't be too surprised that servers change their names all the time / without warning, since there isn't really a system for that, yet.

Said this before, and will say this again. Hackers are hackers, no matter what their intent. They will be banned just like any other hacker.

There is no way to have your CD-Key banned unless you attempt to download a hack that turns out to be a fake program which changes the CD-Key in your registery to a banned one, and possibly sends the original one you had to the hacker for re-selling purposes.

It's called scam/spam/bots/fake ads. And, asking for a non-backstabbing partner specifically is more likely going to attract a lot of bandits.

Could be dead players or someone that disconnected in that position. Sometimes it leaves a copy of your body in-world, but anything that happens to it isn't saved to the hive. So if you loot it clean of items, the player doesn't lose anything.

Please define "Proven engine." And I know what I'm talking about. Rocket has said in an interview that the engine for DayZ will not be "ARMA 2.5", it will be "ARMA 2.5-like." It will be a modified engine of the one ARMA 3 is going to have, which is going to be a lot more locked down, like I said in my original post. Edit; First paragraph on the article. Last time I saw a moderator talk about GUIDs was when the said mod edited the OP's post to hide the listed GUID. This is why I'm here, telling that it's not allowed.
