ARMA 2 is better than Wasteland. Edit; Why is this in the DayZ mod sub-forums, by the way? There's nothing in his post that relates to DayZ. Just a single link to a video that is about Wasteland.

The context of OP's post is alright. But dear god the silly typos. "Thou" means "You." "Tho" is a short for "Though." I wish I didn't even have to point out "tough un," or the difference between "your" and "you're." -

All they need to do is to write your GUID into the server's whitelist -list. Could take anywhere from 5 minutes to a year, if they're going to do it at all. -

Namalsk wasn't originally made for DayZ. It was a part of a heavily STALKER insipired mod, and the map now has Bloodsuckers(From Stalker) spawn in it. There are other Stalker related things in the map as well, such as Object A1(earth anomaly) and A2(bunker), and Vorkuta(Pripyat-ish city.)

How does humanity and combat EXACTLY work?

Actually; - If you kill a bandit, you gain X humanity. - If you kill a survivor/hero, you lose X humanity. - If someone fires a weapon while close to you, or hits you from afar, you are not punished for killing them. X is determined by how many hits you land, and how much damage you deal. So if you spray away at a survivor's legs with a pistol, you will lose quite the amount of humanity. Same with shooting them in the face with an AS50. (50 caliber sniper rifle.) Edit; Note that the wiki might be outdated due to the fact that the latest version of DayZ has no debug monitor, and we don't know if the values/rates have been tweaked or not. -

Welcome to the forums. Whether or not you end up buying ARMA 2 to try out the free DayZ mod, you should keep in mind that you'll have to buy the DayZ standalone when it's released. And it will not be a finished game when it's out. Everybody here knows this, and Rocket has been very open about the fact. -

Generally speaking, it SHOULD be. But there are a lot of people here on the forums that have i7 processors and complain about performance issues. Edit; Yeah, pretty much what the other guy said. Multi/Hyper-threading seems to cause a lot of problems with ARMA 2 / DayZ, and no, it's not the same for other games. -

Based on what Rocket has said about the sickness, it'll work great. And quite frankly, the spawn-rates in the mod are not really related nor final for the Standalone. -

Fun fact! Getting VAC banned doesn't ban you from every game you have, even if they have VAC servers. (Because I've been suffering from a false-positive for a good two years now, which is limited to Source games, but not Portal/Left 4 Dead/some other games.)
