Dancing.Russian.Man replied to Dancing.Russian.Man's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
That's alright, there's so many things in your post that I like. So you can have mine instead! Edit; Hopefully being worked on. Come on, people, make me proud. B) -
No Pepsi, Coca-Cola or Heinz in standalone
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to SmashT's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
NOOO. -
What they said is correct in the more recent builds for DayZ, at least. There is no "Save Tent" option anymore, as everything is auto-saved. In some older versions of DayZ, like 1.2.7(Hella old by now, I know.), you could put stuff in a tent, save it, take the stuff out and NOT save it. That way the stuff would be back if the server restarted or something else happened, as the last save was made when there was stuff in it. Edit; Of course, anyone could save the tent and if the person who stole from your tent saved it, there wouldn't be stuff later on.

Unrepairable Motorcycle?
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to Darrus Dreadtiger's topic in New Player Discussion
Possibly a hacked vehicle. Some vehicles like the black SUV is not repairable if it's spawned in, even if you shoot its tire out or something. -
Why bandits dont...
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to Brack (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Rather silly of a feature if it's actually intentional, but whatever works. Not that it helps a lot, tan clothing(and a rather white head) still sticks out on a green background. -
Yeah, completely impossible on the ARMA 2 engine, but there was some talk about that(instanced maps) for the standalone. I personally don't think it -will- ever happen, but if Rocket is able to get powerful enough servers and wanted to do it, it could probably be possible.
-
The current problem with the slowness of animations and actions is the fact that the ARMA 2 engine cannot play two animations at once. (Edit; Or was it that it just can't run two actions at once on a player model?) This is why you have to stop before vaulting and drawing/holstering/switching your gun, and other things like that.
-
Blame the ARMA 2 engine, not the mod. You can talk for a brief moment in the vanilla ARMA 2 as well, after being shot. At least in some cases.

Why bandits dont...
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to Brack (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
It's not an intentional feature. When your player model(read: skin/clothing) changes, the backpack glitches and sometimes disappears. -
got banned for no reason
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to epic ace's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
You really need to stop posting this to people who are not trying to appeal to a Global Ban. This section is called "Ban Appeals" for a reason. There is always the chance that the server owner is reading these forums. -
Stalker mentioned, insta-beans for you.

Hackers that were former friends of mine, It is getting out of control
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to Kasteraiph's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Who do you think issues the bans? :I Go bug BattlEye about this. Nobody here is any more able to Global Ban someone than you are. -

You even wrote their website on your post. Why post here? Just go onto their website and report him there. -
DayZ, I am dissapoint.
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to themurdertrain's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Well, for what it's worth, I had some fun by driving around a bus on Chernarus, while playing , the other day. (In Direct Communications channel.) Surprisingly, I wasn't shot at even once, even while driving through Chernogorsk while people were complaining about a sniper on the infamous hill nearby. You made me proud that day, people. -
Everybody on this thread should could go and flag his video for deletion for "Misleading thumbnail." /too lazy to do it myself
-
A somewhat proper (even if vague) story would help keeping DayZ on tracks, though. And there's nothing wrong with a story for things like the infection. Rocket already has had his brother(A virologist, was it?) write a rather lengthy document on what the infection could be that causes the zombies to act the way they do. That in itself is considered as lore/story for DayZ Standalone, and we've been embracing it full-on by correcting people who make the argument of zombies decaying and/or being undead. (Even you have done this on multiple occasions. Therefor you are a hypocrite.)

If people like this are able to even attempt at hosting a server, I would probably be the god of all hosts.. I am no server host, but I know this bit through a nifty little thing called common sense; This thread is pointless. You could/would get a faster response by sending a Private Message to the Community Support members. As mentioned they have red names. To quickly see if any of them are online, go to the mainpage of the forums and scroll to the very bottom, with a long list of users that are online. And getting a private hive instead of one connected to the DayZ hive would be better for the fact that you won't be restricted in any way as to how you manage your server. It can be outdated if you wish, and you can have modified versions of the DayZ mod on your server. And you can completely rewrite the server rules to your liking. Those are not the only things you can do, but probably the most major ones.

COMBINED OPERATIONS DOESN'T SHOW UP????
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to HeightsGaming's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Combined Operations is the name of a bundle, for the love of all that's not infected.. Combined Operations contains ARMA 2, and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead. The DayZ mod runs on OPERATION ARROWHEAD, but also uses content from ARMA 2, which is why you need it. Run Operation Arrowhead and everything should work fine as long as you've set up the mod correctly and join a proper server. -
You finns and your imageboards. Always keep disappointing me. My weapon of choice; Project 62. Nobody said anything about ammunition, so.. Edit;

Should zombies only walk ?
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to skywalker1162's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
http://puu.sh/1Q250 http://puu.sh/1Q25U http://puu.sh/1Q25r http://puu.sh/1Q26H http://puu.sh/1Q269 A fore-warning to anyone reading this: If you have a weak stomach, it's advised not to click on the later(3rd-5th) links in the list above. Those are examples(pictures) of various skin diseases. These people are very much alive, and not rotting. The zombies are infected, and there are a lot of things in the real world, right now, that will turn you into a "zombie" by your looks. -
Only things I like from these suggestions are non-permanent side-effects from injuries(ie. limping due to a broken leg in the past) and suicide. Because really, what's stopping a character from drowning or shooting themselves any more than jumping off a bridge and bleeding to death? (Though, I know that the suicide was removed due to the fact that it was abused to get more favorable spawn locations. Edit; Some tweaking to the spawn system should fix this eventually, though. Probably.)

if I could have one superpower, it would be slapping people over the internet. DayZ is a mod of an already existing game. It can do nothing about the hackers. The hackers exist because of the very trusting engine of ARMA 2, which DayZ is built on. Did you forget that you never actually bought DayZ, but actually it's ARMA 2 you're playing? Edit; That being said, wait for standalone, as it will fix the hacker problem. (But there will always be hackers in every game.)

Should zombies only walk ?
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to skywalker1162's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Three words. The Walking Dead. There weren't any zombies that straight-up ran around, but it was a very intense and enjoyable game. The bad part though, is that there couldn't be as many zombies in-world as The Walking Dead depicts. But yes, the "zombies" are infected, not undead. Go watch the movie "28 days later" to get a somewhat similar understanding of what the zombies are supposed to be like. Edit; Resident Evil? -
How about we make the karma point system reward skin?
Dancing.Russian.Man replied to jasokun's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
It never was that way, besides for the glitchiness of the humanity system back when it was re-implemented. Unless a private hive has modified it, of course. Edit; Yup, sounds like a glitch. Or the less likely chance of the server changing how the skins work. -
