    5.56mm weapon nerfing

But your point is invalid if you whine about a change that the DayZ mod has nothing to do with. DayZ is not a game. It's a mod. Meaning, it's a modification of an already existing game. It takes most of its content from ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead, and gives it a different purpose. Just because Rocket and his team added zombie textures and added some new animations and a handful of models and one weapon(crossbow), it doesn't make it a game. It's a modification. Not a game. Understand that.

Wrong. I know Bohemia Interactive changes the values of the weapons. The most notable thing they did was change the damage on the pistols so that you had to shoot zombies 3-4 times with a revolver to kill them. Before that nerf they only needed 1-2. But the DayZ mod does not change the weapon damage values. It all comes directly from Bohemia Interactive, the original developer of the game that DayZ is built on. Hence, I am not wrong. You just cannot comprehend the message I'm trying to give you. If you feel that the entire ARMA 2 is getting dumbed down, then go to the ARMA 2 forums and complain there. Bohemia Interactive does not change the guns based on what people within a mod community think.

Odd. I've not had my legs break in the vanilla game once. And I've survived several shots from LMGs as well as fallen off of heights where I would normally break my legs in DayZ. (Like the lowest roof on the Firestation building. The little shaft off to the side.) But if you can actually break your legs, then I apologize. I've just never experienced it myself.

Okay.jpg Now can you stop calling me an idiot? I'm explaining my opinions. All you do is call names at people. Edit; If you would bother to look at my post history, or were a "veteran" forum member(as in, have been reading for a long time), you'd quickly find out that I am not posting misinformation on the forums. I argue for the sake of creating a discussion, but sadly the irony in you claiming me an idiot doesn't help in that matter. But I can keep arguing your intelligence as well, if that's more to your liking. I've dealt with your kind of people in the past, and you are quite easy to predict and put down. Edit2; Even if you're too silly to understand when to stand down, I enjoy arguing. So you'd be a source of entertainment for me until the mods came busting through the doors and locking the thread.

    Ban Appeal

If you were Global Banned, there is nothing anybody on these forums can do. The main developer, Dean 'Rocket' Hall is only the creator of a mod. He has no control over Global Bans by BattlEye. The mods on these forums are also powerless, as all they can do is moderate this forum, by locking/moving/editing posts/threads and banning those violating the forum rules. If you want to make a ban appeal on your Global Ban, please contact BattlEye, and wait for their response. If you cannot do one or the other, then there is no chance for you and frankly, should find another game to play. http://www.battleye.com/support.html - Information on how to appeal to Global Bans. Isn't that the whole point of having an argument? Proving that your own opinion is valid?

    Performance help?

Yes it will. The ARMA 2 engine is extremely poorly optimized, but that won't be the case with the DayZ standalone.

    5.56mm weapon nerfing

A little late on the topic, but I don't think the game is becoming "dumbed down already." It's being "populated by dumb people." The game/mod hasn't changed in terms of weapons and their handling/firepower, so it's the people and their behavior. Edit; This post was worded piss-poorly because of the third line of text. Better explanation in pages 2-3.

    Performance help?

Most of the people having performance issues with ARMA 2 and DayZ are using i7 processors, so I'd say that is your problem. I have an i5-3570k, 8GB RAM, and a GTX 670, and I can run the game maxed out just fine.

    Building up supplies

I think all items should stay in-world until server restart. So the most likely thing that happened is that somebody found your backpack. To prevent your stuff from disappearing, find a tent(they look like rolledup duffle-bags on the ground), or a vehicle. Tents stay in the server no matter what, unless you die. After that the tents survive for about a week on their own, unless you interact with them(?). Same thing with vehicles. Except the vehicles will disappear after a week even if you haven't died, unless you interact with it.

    Crafting Idea for Standalone

Magazines are separate objects, so keeping the mags will be possible even without crafting. But you forget how many parts you can get from a sniper rifle like DMR. Springs, bolts, barrel to work as a pipe on something else(or as a weak blunt weapon), the lenses in the scope could be taken off and used during day-time to create fire, the stock could be sawed off either to increase the handling of the rifle in small areas(but again, it's a sniper rifle that will kick like a pissed-off bull), and the stock could potentially be attached(with some modifications) to another gun. Even the magazines contain some small parts you could use for other things and weapons. But really, that level of detailed work isn't something just anybody should be able to do right off the bat. (Even though we're not playing as completely incompetent babies)

    Global Ban #2858c0

No, the ID isn't the same as an error code. It doesn't tell you why or how you were banned. Your Global Ban ID is specific to you only, and consists of the 6 last digits of your GUID, which is also specific to you, only.

    temporary perks

    > Sneak past zombies > Zombies magically find it harder to hear you for 30 seconds This is not something you learn by doing over and over. This is something others get worse at when they fail to do it.

    DOG HELPERS FOR DAYZ SA

    Forum Signatures

You shall not receive. For I have the greatest signature that trumps all others, with its generic blood splatter brushes and fancy fonts that only hipsters like me would use.

    ping, bandwidth and dsync

What kind of lag are you getting? If it's choppy video/framerates, your ping has nothing to do with it. An internet connection has nothing to do with how your game performs. Try disconnecting from the internet and go play something. The performance doesn't change.

    Co-op Spawn!

He was talking about scarves and other marks like that. Edit; As for OP: From the it's-always-more-fun-to-play-DayZ-with-friends standpoint, yeah, the spawn system would be nice. But from the DayZ-is-supposed-to-be-unforgiving-and-an-anti-game-that-doesn't-hold-your-hand-and-hates-you-in-every-way standpoint, no. No "co-op" spawns of any kind.

    Can I run this?

Welcome to the forums. Before you make yourself at home, you should note that I'm the general ass around here. Or just blunt/opinionated. New Player Discussion > Can I run it? (Ask here...) It's a pinned thread, and shows up as the very first topic on the sub-forum.

First post on the forums and even that has been posted to the wrong place. There's already a "Can You Run it" discussion.
