Nobody ever said it was regarding to the Standalone. Personally I think he's talking about the mod. Which would make his suggestion impossible as far as I know. Just look back at the item-duping fiasco. If you placed your gun in your tent and saved it, and took the gun out WITHOUT saving it, it would be there at server restart, leaving you with several guns. (Same with switching between servers.) Tents now save automatically, thus making item duplication significantly harder. Edit; Windowed mode = No time wasted. Alt-tabbing takes only a second. Me having two monitors lets me see the serverlist without tabbing at all.

You claim to want to stick to "what DayZ used to be," but you ignore the fact that the DayZ Standalone is going back to how Rocket wanted it to be. Private servers weren't always there. They were allowed after people were making unofficial servers back when it wasn't allowed. And after that, community maps became accepted after someone made the Lingor Island map for DayZ. Since you've "followed things about the Standalone and Rocket," I'm surprised you haven't seen the two quotes in my signature. Here, allow me; Full posts are of course in my signature. There's barely any fire/flame system in ARMA 2. The particles spread, sure, but very unrealistically, and cause no damage to anything.

I had that thought in mind as well while I was in the middle of writing my reply. So to a degree it's acceptable that small wounds are highlighted, since we can't physically feel what our characters do, and it's not like a paper-cut or even a slightly larger cut is going to make me cry in pain, unless there was enough blood to soak through my shirts. But the question is; Will there even be 'small scratches?' I think those could be considered as a part of losing some blood/HP.

Trust me, Rocket isn't going to pander the ones who want loads of vehicles and easymode all around.

This'll be in the Standalone. Practically hundreds of clothing items. Edit; If I remember correctly, Rocket wanted to leave as many UI elements as possible; out. Meaning that a highlight for the parts of your body that are injured shouldn't be there, and you would have some other kind of indication as to what needs fixing. (I suppose limping for legs is one, and crappy aim for hands would be reasonable. But I don't think those examples are valid, as it mostly related to things like hunger, thirst, infections, blood.)

Gurl, yo dunneven kno wat'chu talkin' about. Toilet paper is way too fluffy and frail to be used as a bandage. You can't wrap it tightly around the wound, it gets soaked and breaks, which leads to the paper getting into your wound which is likely to cause irritation and even an infection. (Even if it was clean paper. It's not clean anymore with dried blood, dead skin and dirt on it.)

An SVD is a sexy rifle on its own, but god damn it I have an unbearable thing for the bolt-action mechanism in rifles.

BattlEye broadcasts red messages on the server at regular intervals. That is one of those messages. It means nothing, it's completely automated to happen after a certain period of time on all servers. Edit; They're basically saying "Hey, your pirated copy might be out-of-date one day. You should probably buy our shit (read: stuff) if you like it, because otherwise you won't be able to keep up."

FPS or latency lag? What are your computer specs? As much info as you can give always results in a faster, more helpful response.
