I had one and it was pretty neato, though that was many lives before today. I may have an M249 still but I haven't been able to login so far. Anyway, NV scopes sure but thermal? It's pretty cheap. Also I would think you'd need replacement batteries pretty often for goggles and scopes no? There's a funny episode of Generation Kill about that.

Anyone available to administer morphine near Polana? :D

I get my legs broken. Otherwise I love to search for heli crash sites, storm castles and occasionally sneak around super dangerous places. Finding snipers to creep up on is really fun too.

Better to start off with some beans and a drink so you can run farther away... but more importantly give me just one morphine! It's so rare apart from hospitals and medical tents in my experience, and those places are so freaking dangerous alone. Good adrenaline rush though :D Speed looting Cherno or Elektro is easy enough if you check your corners and know your exits. In Elektro hit the firehouse for a gun, the market for supplies and if you're not dead already try the apartments next, and then toss an empty can through the hospital window like that guy's quick start video and pray for morphine (get at least 2). Then GTFO! Next, find a knife, axe, matches, compass and water bottles but do that away from the cities. This way you can hunt, cook meat for 800hp and have a refillable water source.

I've encountered two groups of friendlies, one even gave me their skype info. This is only after spotting them and direct chatting friendly and grabbing my mic. The other group made contact, declared friendly and I went my own way, and about five minutes later on my way up the hill out of Elektro they shot at me (but missed). It's incredibly stupid to call out friendly at the moment. If I'm just respawning or maybe 30 mins in that's the only reason I'd be where lots of other people are like Elektro or Cherno, so I don't worry much about the risks. Not once in the many times I've been shot has anyone attempted to make contact with me before they pulled the trigger. I'm not like that and don't care to compromise or become cynical about being friendly. I just want to shoot zombies. I still haven't shot at anyone. It's becoming extremely popular especially from word of mouth. A friend told me about it and I've told 3 or 4 more... the Arma2 people said sales have gone up 5x. If you're looking for teamplay, post a thread looking for mates. -robo

The best FPS gain I had was turning HDR to low. Turn shadows to medium or so, post processing too. I play at 1920x1200 and no longer have laggy mouse issues or fps drops as when all my settings were maxed. Very strange too for an older DX9 game to be so piggy :D i7 quad, 560ti, 12gb ram -robo
