Hi guys, getting a little bored of playing alone so thought I would post here to try and find some people to play Day Z with. I have been playing since a month after release. My Names Dan but go by Bittermace in game im 26 I like to have a laugh but looking for people that would be able to knuckle down and play hard ! generaly looking for like minded players not over the top serious but someone with a plan :) Would like to rolle with a small group of between 3-6 age 18+ Not looking for responses from clans just a small group of friends or someone wanting to be part or/ create a small group. I use teamspeak or skype so totaly up to you guys what we use :)

This is more of a hording at base type suggestion so you dont have to carry meat all the time you can have somewhere back at base to store food so you can set yourself tasks i.e today ill go out hunting im running low on supplies.

My perfect setup actually relies on a working tent ! Czech Backpack, Camouflage Clothing I proffer this type of concealment to Ghille Suits 3x Smoke(Red, White & Green) for tactical Team Play M9SD and Bandages NVG & Rangefinder is a given CZ500 or an La85 but would only carry one weapon at a time, unable to right now seeing as tents wont save

Ok well just a thought can't see it being bought up before but as the game stands now you can double click and create a world map marker, shift+ c.lick to create a way point. I personally would like to see an addition to this where if you so please can create map markers for your personal reference and think this would create some really good game dynamics. Say your in a small group and you was to share your locations or create Surveillance routes for your scouts or tactics for your next raid. One of your team members is on patrol and gets ambushed, This not only creates a problem for the player who just died but also has the disadvantage of giving away some of your teams strategic locations/ trade or scout routes and in a way creates REAL random events/ missions for the player. This could also lead to a type of heirarchy within groups who know that keeping the intel within a core group may become essential, the bigger the group with all the intel the more chance your plans have to get spoiled so would lead to players assigning themselves roles of importance, This could also lead to an enemy scout group tracking movements rather than just going in gun-ho. This could also lead to a dilema if the group was to have their chosen intel carrier was to get killed, do they run ? do they hide ? or do they have to dig in fight the good fight because they know full well that they need to get that intel back to base camp or there "big plan" could be foiled. This would both allow for groups of players to work towards common goals and create strategic plans and give enemy groups chance to strike at a bigger force or know where not to go. I think something as simple as personal map markers has the potential to open up thousands of possibilities and scenarios that I personal would love to see this kind of thing put into action, at the least see a trial of something like this in alpha stage and see what it could lead to. THis is a basic idea of the sort of thing I'd like to see in a way. Just thought of this but may also give you reasons to find a pen - common or pencil/ rubber- rare Can't remove pen marks and would be best to burn your old maps and find new ones and pencils allow for erasing old plans. anyways I rambled a while cuz Im really excited about the idea but what do you guys think.

Personaly I would choose Mk48 and M16A4 Acog reason ? mk48 has a nice rate of fire and with its Sight a good 3/400 meter ranged weapon and a large clip for pvp engagement. the m16 Acog has a telescopic sight and a good mid/long ranged weapon accurate upto 800 meters that in the right situation can be a good counter to a sniper getting too close. Both weapons are common mag types unlike the FN Fal which you might struggle to find ammo for and the M4A1 in my opinion isnt really worth it when your lacking range/ accuracey and the mags are a little more rare then standard stanag these are based on how I would choose for PVP when it comes to zombies you can just use your sidearm

Well I just went up to north west airfield and as I was soloing decided to go for a lol pop server. I have just entered the north-side barracks and out of habit I head straight to the shower room so I can do a 180 to pop any Z's i aggro-ed. As I turned to the bathroom I spotted someone 2 doors down aimed up at me with what I thought was a silenced weapon, I was in NM so as many of you know there's no point taking chances I ran out of the door aimed down my barrel and with my LA85 placed 3 rounds into him, 2 chest 1 head and he fell instantly, I went to raid his gear and saw his weapon....a G36 !??! knowing this gun is not in the game I released he was a hacker, stole 1 meat from him as my victory against a hacker ate it then hid the body, I refused to take any of this guys gear as he obviously obtained them wrongfuly so hid his body so if the guy decided to make the trip back to NW there was nothing for him there :P

Yes, all you need to do is google how to run non steam games through steam its pretty simple :)

Totally agree with this guy, from what you just told us, you went to trade with a guy, found out there was a hacker in their group and instead of thinking "im a legit player I don't want any part of that" you decide your ok with duplicating items and hey this guy is a hacker and you could get all the gear you ever dreamed of. There are people that claim to have morals in this game and you are not one of them, you saw an opertunity to hang with hackers and got screwed and deserved everything you got.
