  1. You just look on the screen and turn your had alot. There is a proportion between your moves and your character moves.
  2. Fixed ArmA config for Face Track in attachment. Works perfectly!!! Fill the difference! You can try to lower dead zones to 3 degrees. ArmA.zip

  4. Because holding ALT you make you hand busy. But with this device you can use your hands for other more usefull things. By the way - you can bend left/righr proportionaly. You can not do this by keyboard.

What to do, to play DayZ like on video for 50 cents: I would like to introduce my ecperience of homemade head tracking device (TrackIR analog). 1) You should have WEB-camera or Wii Remote device (Wii Remote is better, it is almost identical to TrackIR inside, better fps and light filtering). It is recommended that camera should have resolution 640х480х30 fps or more. 2) Put the red glass to the WEB-camera (skip this step for Wii Remote). This glass will filter all light except infrared to track your movements better. You should try to use photo-film or sun glasses. I have used red glass from military flashlight. ATTANTION! Some WEB-cameras have build-in filters which do not pass infrared light. You should remove them from camera or do not buy camera with them. I do not know how to be shure that camera have or have not this filter. 3) Make this strange construction: a) Take 3 infrared diodes 840nm with maximum angle (I have used 40 grad, do not found more). The price of 3 diodes is 0,50 USD. B) Take 30 cm of twisted pair. c) Solder 3 diodes to 3 peices of twisted pair in series (coherently) and put them on battary or to USB cable 1 and 4 pins. d) Put this construction on the hat like on picture:. 4) Install FreeTrack http://www.free-track.net/english/ 5) Turn on the power to diodes. 6) Run programm, press start button 7) Start game, have fun... You will have ability to use all 6 axes in games with TrackIR support, such as ArmA 2, Microsoft FSX, FS2004 and other. NOTICE! Some WEB-camera drivers have option "Enlightenment ", to make picture lighter in darkness. It should be turned off because it make fps lower! Diodes will be good seen without this option

    Disconnecting to avoid death

    I propose five simple things to solve the problem with DC: 1) To disconnect from the server player should perform action "Logout" from the game menu. This action starts a 30 seconds (or more) timer. If player moved from his place then action is canceling like other actions in game (bandaging etc.) and should be performed again. When timer ends up a logout screen displayed (like "you are dead" screen) saying that "you can exit now". If player close game from task manager or alt+f4 his character becomes AI, lay on the ground (to have less visibility to zombies) and stays in place for same time like timer. If you do not want to be killed offline - do not use Alt+F4, but logout normally, when you can control situation during logout. 2) When player connecting the server some notification (sound or text) displays for all players around 100m to inform them that area becomes not clear. It avoid spawning and killing other players from their back. Players will have possibility to switch server to go behind you and try to kill you, like now, but they will not do this, because of risk to be killed, because victim will know that you are connecting somewhere near, and because of timer described in p.5. 3) Disable Respawn button in mission config file. It will avoid players to select respawn place by continous respawn. If some one stucks he can try to relogin to unstuck or kill himself or die from hunger. 4) Server can not start the game if there is less then 20 players on it. If there is less then 20 players you should select another server with more than 20 players on it. It prevent players to use empty servers to move to long distances and fill safe. 5) Make time out between disconnecting and connecting to another server (e.g. 10 min) by logging connection and disconnection time and server ID, but allow to connect to the same server without delay (in case you lost connection or game crushed). I hope it will make less players play unfair.

    Build 1.7.2 Rolling Update

    Do not logout in public places, search safe place before logout to be shure that you will not login beside 10 people, and play always in one server. Why people think that switching servers is a normal gameplay? I do not propose to make character attached to the server (because it is only 50 slots), but as for me it also will be a good solution of problems. Legitimate player's should feel the situation and understand that we cannot eliminate cheaters and unfair players without some restrictions for legitimate players. As fo me - I will better wait 10 minutes if i will know that it will fix DC and other unfair things. And about power lost - you characer will automaticly lie down to make you less visible. And power lost is less frequent than unfair gameplay usage.

    Rocket - I have write this propositions to all possible places (forum, bug-tracker, suppot). Please hear me!!! Or you will lost lots of people when they get dissapointed waiting for the solution of this main gameplay problems. All of my friends are one leg to stop playing DayZ because of DC. Bear traps and other new features are not the main things on which you should focus. I hope it will make less players play unfair. Implementing this features in complex will make huge improvement of fair gameplay and will prevent dissapointing of huge number of players.

    Disconnecting to avoid death

    The best solution, described in this topic, is to make a keyboard lock for e.g. 1 minute, but do not lock a mouse, allowing player to view around and to cancel the timer by desire. If you select safe place and it becomes unsafe during timer, you can cancel logout and initiate it in another place again from the begining. But you shold escape from danger zone first ingame. Or even it is not necessary to lock keyboard, you should only stay on place for a minute, like when you perform other actions, e.g. bandaging. If you make a step - timer is canceled. But not only disconnect timer should be added, but also a connect sound to hear if somebody apears somewhere near you. Without this notification sound it is possible to connect to another server, go behind player there, then come back to the current server and kill player from his back. Also disabling respawn button will be good feature to deny selecting spawn position.
  11. One more additional idea - make sound of respawn to inform player that somewhere near to him another player is respawning. It is one more reason for player to logout in safe place, where he will not be heared during login.
  12. Ok. 15 minut delay is not a main idea, it may not be implemented, but other two propositions are more usefull. If there will be timer before logout and no Respawn button - players will not logout in unsafe places during zombies pursuit and will not select respawn place. And it is easy to implement.

    Group System

    +1 It is easy to make. Just put action menu "Join group" on each player with script "Player join Group this". And you can come to player, activate an action and you will be available to use game comand and group chat inside the group.
  14. Hmm, no comments yet? Nobody interesed to make fair gameplay? Or you like to use this cheats yourself? Any opinion about my idea?
  15. I have four ideas how to decrease number of reassigns to server by players for personal gain and problems related to this. I hope all understand that reassign is a main gameplay problem. 1) Make ability to connect to any server only after e.g. 15 minutes past after previous disconnect. So, players will think what is better - spend few shots to kill zombie or reassign to make them dissapear. 2)Make button "Logout" on Esc-menu which will disable user-input and shows progress indicator for e.g. 10 seconds with possibility to cancel logout process. After time delay player moved to respawn field and Logout screen (like "You are dead" screan) appears. So, if player decide to exit the game, he should go to the safe place, press "Logout", wait 10 seconds to see Logout screen and only then he can press Exit button on the game to exit. When player lost connection or kill game process from taskbar he should stay on plase 10 seconds too. 3) Make sound of respawn to inform player that somewhere near to him another player is respawning. It is one more reason for player to logout in safe place, where he will not be heared during login. 4) Disable "Respawn" button on Esc-menu. It allow players to select desired place of respawn by continous respawning. This four simple fixes will much improve gameplay and will decreas number of duppers and unfear players, or atleast decrease possibility to cheat for them. Thank you for your attention.
