Can you tell me when you put it up? I love a good scare... when I'm not the one experiencing it.

I don't hide bodies as much as I should. If I'm holed up in a house, and I've killed 20-30 zeds, I'm not going to stay behind and hide all the bodies.

I was playing with a couple of friends earlier today, and we found a helicopter in Kamyshovo and we're driving around try to find parts to fix it up. My friend chipped a barricade and broke the front left wheel, so we figured it'd just be a quick little repair and then we'd be back on the road. As we got out of the car, my friend forgot to switch the engine off, and we got attacked by, what seemed like, 50-70 zeds. In a rush to attempt to get the tire on fast enough to just narrowly escape the horde, my friend grabbed the wheel out of the gear and repair it while we were covering him. As the zeds converged on us, my buddy next to me got knocked out. In a panic to revive him, my friend repairing the wheel quickly gets up from repairing the wheel to save him, leaving the wheel unfixed, all while I was still shooting zeds. Next he goes down, and I'm left to decide if I should run or stay behind and attempt to fight off the zeds for long enough to at least get one of them up so they can revive the other. Unfortunately, the my friend who was guarding with me died, and I just barely managed to get the friend who was repairing the car. He had about 3000 blood from my guess, since he could barely walk straight. I managed to shoot down most of the zeds, which gave us enough time to repair the wheel and get out of there. This is what I want in the standalone. I want the zeds to be a problem, rather than just a pest. While this situation was going on, we were all pretty much yelling at each other to "Get that zed!", "Look out to your right", "(Name omitted), behind you!". Anyone else agree with me.

I currently have a Toshiba with 2.1 GHz, 4GB memory, and a Intel HD Graphics Family, which is the reason why I'm getting a new computer with the standalone and all. I found a nice one just under 1000 dollars, and I was wondering if it could handle DayZ well. i7 3770 (3.4 GHz) 16GB DDR3 NVIDIA Geforce GTX 640 2GB

Do you think an i5 will do nice with Arma II? There's a 660 with only 8 gigs of memory, but for graphic's sake I'll buy it.

And it should be that way. With the new maps, they should force players to work together, rather than have them and the zombies. I have no problem with the game, other than the fact that it is glitchy as hell and I'm waiting for the standalone, but this is the zombie apocalypse, and it should feel that way.

First off, I'm a huge fan of DayZ, and a huge fan of having fun whilst in DayZ. The game should be less about shoot on sight, and more about helping, but don't get me wrong, I will shoot anyone who challenges me in an instant. I'm not afraid to help anyone, and I'm not afraid to shoot anyone. So, with this in mind, I'm 13 and looking for a clan. I've been playing DayZ ever since June, and I've seen a lot of things come and go. I know the ropes to this game, and I know how to get out of a situation. I was playing Namalsk about 2 hours ago, when I see over sidechat that someone in Object All needed a bloodbag. Wanting to put a bullet in everyone's head who ever gives away their position over side channel, I say I have a bloodbag and I was coming down to help them in the bunker. The dude has an M240, NVGS, binoculars, stanags, and food. Everything I pretty much need to survive. I put a few bullets in his head as he lets his guard down, grab the stanags, and head further down into the bunker where I meet a man in warm clothes. He asked me if I heard the shots earlier, and I explained to him that a guy was trying to shoot me as I was entering the bunker and killed him. As he was talking, I got tired of him, so I shot him in the head again while he had his guard down. All within two minutes.

I'm having the same problem too, along with my friend. Maybe is has something to do with an update.

I prefer the M4, M16 category. They do some damage, 2 shot kill zombies, and you can find ammo in almost any military base or camp. Now it's your turn. :D

I felt like the enfield fell under the "Winchester, Double Barrel" category, and I still have yet to kill a zombie with a tin can. All though it's fun to throw whiskey bottles at people on the ground from the hospital in elektro.

I really don't get that angry in DayZ. Hackers piss me off, but I'm not screaming into my mic. Dying's a part of the game, and you can't ever change that. Keep that mentality, and you'll have ten times the fun.

I killed a guy in Elektro with my friend, he came back and shot my friend. I guess you can say I killed him out of revenge.

Anyone know what this means? I've googled it, searched it in the forums, and still haven't found a solution. Anyone have an idea? P.S. I do not hack, and never have "hacked".

When you accept the fact that you're GOING TO DIE, you don't really get bothered by getting killed by hackers. Well, that's what I do.

I was on CA1 (a private hive server), and I hear some zombies aggro'd and some gunshots near the office in Elektro. I immediately try to find the source, if I can, kill them. I new they weren't friendly, just by the way they were acting. As I look around the corner, there one of them is, looting the roof of the office, unaware that there are snipers, other bandits, and me looking directly at them. When I saw him on the roof, my heart started racing. This would be the first time I would had ever fought anyone as equally equipped (no, I do not go around shooting anyone I see running along the shore. If my gut says "Hey, I don't trust this guy", I kill them). I could feel my heart all the way down to my fingers, and because of this I couldn't take a good shot at him without alerting him. I waiting for about 5 minutes when I peered around the corner again, and then his buddy and him were looting a body that I assumed that they had just shot, because of the many gunshots with the M4A1 that wouldn't be needed for zombies. I think to myself "This is it, I can't let them get away". I walk out into the street, and fire my Lee Enfield at the first bandit's friend. Confirmed kill. It takes the bandit awhile to notice that his friend had just died, and I shot him in the stomach. As he's on the ground, I was thinking of a way out of the area, since I certainly just alerted every person and zombie in Elektro, or within a few miles. Out of the corner of my eye, I see him take out his M4. Another shot to the head should do it, but instead, the bandit put a few rounds into me before I could get my shot off. I survived the encounter, but at a price. I had 2000 blood left, an M4A1 with barely any mags, and a ton of zombie aggro. Sadly, the story has to end there. I was sniped not long after I had left the supermarket area.
