Anyone else here agree on the FX chips to just disable turbo-core, and just set multiplier to match the turbo speed? My FX-6350 runs better this way, but I also overclocked it to 4.4ghz. You will also want to lower the view distance in the config. I think the default is 3600m, so dial that back to 1500 or so.

Like B@ker said. An easy way to do it is to just start a download with dayzlauncher and stop it. Then you go into the folder and see what dayzlauncher names it, like @dayzepoch_501. After that just rename your downloaded file to match, copy it over, and then verify through dayzlauncher.

When I have this I just run the DayZ_BE application in the common/steamapps/dayz folder/DayZ_BE. Funny thing is I get the memory error but the game starts up.

In the MOD you get sick drinking from lakes and water containers filled from them. You can drink from the wells and not get sick, but you can get sick drinking from a water bottle filled from a well. Get a empty tin can so you can boil your water. Don't forget duct tape to repair the platic water bottles.

Have you messed with your config yet? Make a copy before you make changes. Think default view is 3600m so droping it down may help alot, until you get the CPU upgrade. Open the file named YourName (.DAYZPROFILE) located in C:\Users\Username\Documents\DayZ\ with the notepad. Now find the following lines: sceneComplexity=# - set it to a value between 200000 and 50000 (other values are 1000000, 750000, 250000 but they require a high end cpu), it will draw less elements and reduce CPU load. viewDistance=# - set it to a value between 1800 and 1200, it reduces the cpu and gpu load. preferredObjectViewDistance=# - it decreases CPU load, set it to 1000 (or between 800 and 1600); terrainGrid=# - Set it to one of these values: 50, 25, 12.5, 6.25, 3.125. Higher value = Better FPS, Lower value = lower fps but a better graphic quality. 25 or 12.5 for the best performance/quality ratio. shadowZDistance=# - set it to a value between 100 and 200, reduces gpu and cpu load
