Do you think you should be able to attack with the hunting knife? Things to consider: 1. Its range would be 1-2 meters, because a knife doesn't have much range. 2. Since it is only a knife, it would likely be equipped as a secondary weapon. 3. It would take several hits to kill a zombie/player, because it's stabbing/slicing, not a chopping-in-half motion like the hatchet. 4. 3rd melee weapon (hatchet, crowbar, knife) 5. You can headshot with it (FACE STAB) BONUS: Should you be able to throw it? You would use the grenade/flare/chemlight/tin can animation, but throw a knife. Kills zombies with a headshot, K-Os players with a headshot. Body shot damages/kills a zombie (your pick), damages player. Don't expect it to be accurate; I'm pretty sure that not everybody knows how to throw a knife and kill someone with it on the first try. Maybe this should be in standalone. ArmA 2's hit detection is kind of whack. Personally, I would love to find a sniper and stab them in their face. Feel free to pitch any other ideas.

After seeing http://dayzmod.com/f...bat-preference/, and seeing how many people are choosing the "I shoot whatever's on the end of my scope" option, here's another thing I don't understand about this community: If you want to kill people in intense firefights, why not just play ArmA II? You already bought it. Just filter what server mission you want. ArmA II has intense firefights, and everbody will give you resistance; which I guess is more interesting than shooting someone who does nothing but look at you because they don't have a weapon. (No, I wasn't killed by anything. But I am constantly reading the forums and sometimes throw in my 2¢ about the things people do. Why so many topics about it? What else is there to talk about? Complain about hackers? Complain about glitches? Talk about pwning n00bs in Cherno? I'd rather talk about something that ISN'T fixable in an update. More interesting.) So there you have it. All I'm saying is if you want to kill people, why not play vanilla ArmA II?

I almost died of dehydration a few minutes before; I had to use one of my water bottles so I could make it to the mountain to make the video :/ sorry

I really don't know why the server did that; some servers have it on super easy, in which they show other people's waypoints/your location/other people's notes. Which is why we were able to see the "help i broke my legs :(" note. I'd prefer to have it off, but some servers have it on for some reason. I don't even have a GPS, btw. Look at my gear.
