Well the DayZMod map Takistan looks pretty similar to what you have up there in the images so it probably wouldn't be that out of the question if they decided to modify that map. So I've ran around in a desert environment and actually no I wouldn't enjoy that. Im from the far Northern Frontier, known as Alaska. The non Canada chunk of the Artic Circle <-- that's a joke but true. So id rather see ice cold, barren tunda, and steep rocky mountains. That's my tastes. Yes I want more variety, yes I want new areas. We can agree on that idea. And yes I understand the reasoning behind posting a recommendation and also having wishes.

Just to comment on this hardware has a massive effect on how well you run the game. Believe me, I have 3 desktops in my house. Super low tier, mid tier, and a high end. There is massive difference in performance. Being badly optimized is true though, so currently you might have to buy an extra big processor/gpu to get 40 frames where once its optimized you might end up with 60 for that same hardware.

Id suggest making it a practice of not getting wet just so your already prepped for the transition in build updates. But if its the choice of running in rain/ sitting in a building for hours. Just do the run part. Avoid puddles just as practice because I think Footwear deteriorates easier if wet. <-- Not sure on that one.

Let me just say, Nothing is ever wrong with a decent suggestion. But the Dev Team knows what they can do and already have an incredible roadmap. Yes they can do rivers with the engine that Standalone was built off of and yes they want it for environmental looks. Dean said so himself, cause running water sounds and looks cool. Also it will have physical properties so walking upstream should be slower than going down like in Skyrim for example. Down the road a good ways I heard they want to make multiple maps, just for instance desert or tundra for more environmental difficulties. But that's not a 100% certainity. Far as biomes go the way you talk about it tickles my insides a bit, cause its funny. But in all reality New Chernarus "technically" has "biomes. Farmlands/Fields, Foothills, Forests, Coastline, and Urban Zones. Those are all basically biomes distinct in there own way. Some have loot and others don't. Once animals exsist some will have more animals than others. Evident realism here, just don't mention biomes like you did just makes it sound silly yet most people can see the obvious logic behind the term. Good wishing!

This isn't a problem anymore at least for me, since the new builds released. Build 35 and up are devoid of this problem for me.

I'm not worried as long as SA and the mods are left in good hands and by the time Dean leaves that it is at or near completion with routine fixes and random items. I expect by end of 2014 it will be declared Beta. And then full release as soon as any major bugs get pounded out. I am sure the team without rocket will continue to give us support once he is gone. While he is the mastermind it seems, his team still is a major contributor to ideas and development. I am content with him leaving by years end. Besides maybe he will begin a great new project that we can all jump on the bandwagon for! :D

I have had the same problem. Died, tried to respawn. Kept me at "you are dead". And still is for all servers. Need a fix soon! Only happens since newest build 33

Yeah the in mod music kinda sucks. And its not even suspensful. Id rather have some ochestra playing the lord of the rings theme quietly in the background. What i loved was that on some life servers cars had built in radios. It was so badass. Kind of GTA inspired. I always thought that was so cool. Also you can download some things that allow you to stream music into game. I met this guy who had music running on direct chat. His mans mouth moved so it was like he was singing justin bieber. pretty cool

Well someone had suggested and made the models for MRE's if you browse the forums you will find em a few months back. Great models whoever did them, but obviously development was too busy to include them. Yet I do agree with an MRE / Military Ration Item

If anyone is interested I would like to post an offer of going on a less populated server. We would basically team up and fight zombies and try to make em a threat however possible. Dumb idea, don't ruin ARMA with pure fantasy. Zombies are okay, but I don't play dayZ for Alien vs. Zombie

Well often I find the DIrect chat to be extremely quiet. I often need to shout into the mic for other people to here me in direct. And this is with my mic at maximum. Direct chat just seems to sound like a quiet whisper at times.
