DaRT connects and then says the server is down. When I watch the server itself it terminates the arma2 server. This is in the server RPT. 05:54:24 : RCon admin #0 (My home PC IP:52213) logged in 05:54:29 : Lost Connection! 05:54:29 : Closing socket & exiting! I restart the server and try again: 06:11:42 : RCon admin #1 (My home PC IP:61953) logged in 06:11:45 : Lost Connection! 06:11:45 : Closing socket & exiting! BE updated to 1.61 on my server if that affects things.

I don't know what is going on, but when I connect to my server now from DaRT it terminates my server. My server is running the latest beta and the latest BEC.

Yeah getting banned from a server sucks! It is so hard to find another server to play in, if only there were 4000+ servers running....

You can't save spawned in vehicles. I had some hackers spawn in 2 heli's on my server, I took one and saved it to test if it would stay on the server. After a restart it was gone.

To be honest the only chance of actually banning someone would be a HWID ban. A quick google search can show you easily how to get a new IP or MAC Address. The downside to a HWID ban is if someone buys that PC down the line they would also be banned along with the fact that plugging in an external HDD can change your HWID sometimes as well.

lol at saying an IP ban would work. You do realize that if you change the MAC address of your router it forces the servers at your ISP to give you a new IP right? Anyone can get around an IP ban and then the affected IP will be pushed on some other unsuspecting soul.

I don't understand why everyone assumes that admins will use this to cheat. For instance last night a guy teleported into cherno and started shooting everyone there with a minigun (YakB). Thanks to this I could see his movement and gather more information from the RPT to file a cheat report. This tool can be used for good, it isn't the fault of all admins that some are assholes. Also before you say "LOL SUCK IT ADMIN YOU GOT INFECTED!!1!1!", any smart person would run this in a VM like I did. Never trust random people to make trustworthy programs.

Battleye announces it in the server. If you are playing you will notice it. As for logs about the kicks I am not sure where those would be. Edit: Check in the server_console.log and look for Wrong signature for file ca\plants2\ You will see right after that the player disconnects.

In server.cfg set this verifySignatures = 2; That is what I do and it constantly kicks people that try to do that. This setting "Verifies .pbos against .bisign files. Valid values 0 (disabled), 1 (prefer v2 sigs but accept v1 too) and 2 (only v2 sigs are allowed). "

Grufftech I don't mean to sound like a downer but you are pretty much SoL. Hackers love to find populated servers because then they have the biggest impact. Combine that with the fact that you are running servers for a very popular Machinima/Gaming site and that makes you a prime target. I don't know if it would help but not advertising that they are hosted by RoosterTeeth might help a bit. I notice on my own server that once we hit 35-40 people online the chances of hacking increases. As for logs, I just look at the scripts.log and the .rpt log to check for anything that seems out of the ordinary. Sadly 99/100 times it isn't enough to prove anything because you have no clue if that person hacked or the hacker made them do it via scripts. P.S.: I have always been a fan of the RT servers, it is where I learned of the game and learned how to survive.

So far I get a ton of glitches with barbed wire.
