Pending Changelog: Experimental Branch: 0.33.114782
Andarne (DayZ) replied to rocket's topic in News & Announcements
Any word on when you'll be fixing the horrible desync issues, that have made the game pretty much unplayable? -
I think there are more urgent issues than zombies walking through walls to attend to. The desync issues, for one are my biggest annoyance.

Servers with connection issues to central hive

Cheers for the rocket-reply. Hehe, that should become a thing. You said that the new update added "complexity" to running a server. Can you elaborate on that, so we humble serfs might understand? -
New Patch - Crashing, Extreme Desync, Beret Errors
Andarne (DayZ) replied to Andarne (DayZ)'s topic in Troubleshooting
Let's keep the bickering to a minimal, or at least, direct it towards those GODDAMN BUGS! *Clears throat, apologetically* I believe I've fixed my performance issues regarding FPS. I knew my DayZ.cfg and profile files couldn't of been altered, as they're set to Read Only - while browsing through the Documents folders, I found the new variants that were added in the patch for my renamed character. After adding some edits to these new files, and setting them as Read Only, I now am getting around 30-35FPS in small towns. It's a start, but nowhere near where it was before the patch. Ideally, I'd like to keep this thread open for explorable ideas to resume my high-FPS. I also checked my in-game graphics settings; they were as they were before the patch, nothing had changed. -

Thanks for the info, Rocket! To confirm, these are the servers/hosts that can't save or load character data properly? -
New Patch - Crashing, Extreme Desync, Beret Errors
Andarne (DayZ) replied to Andarne (DayZ)'s topic in Troubleshooting
We have tried over ten servers, and all of them present the issues I've listed. We didn't stick to the same hosts either; Vilayer, MPGS and a couple of others. All were low-ping. Same as before the patch; I was averaging around 45FPS in towns and even hit 120 when looking at a wall! Now we're lucky if we can get 25 looking at the floor... For the record; Steam launch paramaters, and DayZ.cfg/DayZProfile.cfg edits to suit my system. Even running on high-performance mode. -
Hey there folks! My friend and I just upgraded to the latest stable release (0.32.114577) and we've been unable, at all, to play the game. For starters, both of our framerates have dropped by nearly half since the latest patch. We were running an easy 45FPS average each. Now we're down to 15-20 in the wilderness. Secondly, we're both experiencing extreme desync issues all the time. It's made gameplay impossible, as we cannot see each other move nor manipulate objects in the world. Finally, we're crashing every so often when going into the inventory or walking for a little bit. We've both verified the game through Steam, and all files returned successfully. Just wondering if these bugs are new with the patch, and why we're still seeing the desync? Any help will be much appreciated.

I'd like to give Shadowplay a go, simply because of what Nvidia advertises it to be. Does anybody know if AMD are making progress into something similar?

Rolling Changelog: Stable Branch: 0.32.114557
Andarne (DayZ) replied to rocket's topic in News & Announcements
Rocket, have you any idea when you and your team will be releasing a build that focuses on player-built structures? Have you reached a decision, yet, about underground building? I've heard that Bohemia's tool has made some advancements in terrain modification. -
I guess so. After I fired some shots, she kind of...dropped to the ground. I think the shock of hearing the gunshot, and the lack of sugars in her blood, caused her to faint. REALsheaffer tended to her for a while, but she just got back up and ran over the hills and far away, before we could stop her. I'm afraid to say that the cable wouldn't stay in after it was unplugged. Giggidy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKEw4NuwKjs She was doing this for around a minute before I started recording. I really, really hope that this doesn't represent the speed of the zombies in the final version of the game. ;)

Update (16/1): Player Proximity DeSync Issue (Solutions/Workarounds!)
Andarne (DayZ) replied to scottishrebel's topic in Troubleshooting
After applying these 'fixes' I still encountered some trouble with desync. That's when I decided, for the first time since getting the antivirus, to enable 'Gamer Mode' on ESET. Within moment, all descync was gone. I won't deny that I had a long-anticipated sigh of relief at that. After around an hour or two of gameplay, the desync returned; it wasn't as severe, but was noticeable at moment. Granted, it only lasted for a few moment. -
