  1. It shouldn't have been there in the first place, why do you feel the need to be able to talk shit? How does having people talk to you after they die or knowing who killed you help you staying immersed? That doesn't make any sense.
  2. My thoughts exactly, OP. I believe DayZ would be a better experience without tents/vehicle storage. You shouldn't even be able to loot your own body, actually. Once your stuff is lost, it should be REALLY lost. Only then would it become a stronger experience.
  3. Rocket never said Humanity and skins depending on it weren't the way to go, actually he pretty much said the contrary: That he would get rid of it because it was unfinished. I don't know about you but "unfinished feature" kinda sounds like he was planning on finishing it later.

  6. I didn't assume you would agree with us, I wouldn't have either when I began playing. What you say makes a lot of sense but once again, you're not the first to come up with the idea "I'm one of the good guys and I will never ever become a bad guy", I know you actually mean it but they all did. This is what DayZ is about IMO, we know from the beginning that you'll let go of your ideals the only question is how long the game is gonna take to break you? Also to reply to your side note, Shane is a fascinating character, less in the comics than in the series but still. The fact that he can be considered either a hero or a villain depending on your own ideals makes him my favorite character. :D
  7. Most of the guys who are now shooting you on sight used to think the same way. You know the saying, you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

  11. Considering: The Arma 3 engine is already available for him to work on, he already ported DayZ to it like 2 months ago to see if it would work and it did. He isn't alone anymore but has a whole team now. And they are gonna release it as soon as it'll be in alpha state just like the mod. Saying it WON'T be this year is very pessimistic.
  12. Rocket didn't work for BIS when he made DayZ, his contract ended after Arma 2. They re-hired him only recently to lead the standalone team. So no he didn't get any money for dayZ and said it himself. Maybe now he does but he didn't.
  13. So what? YOU decided, as a customer, to buy Arma 2: CO in order to play DayZ. If you already had Arma 2 : CO, you wouldn't have had to spend another dime to play DayZ when it came out. DayZ is a free mod. Rocket has to make money somehow so yes you're gonna have to pay for HIS game, Rocket is not Bohemia Interactive, he doesn't care about whether you bought Arma or not.

  15. What you need to understand is that none of the money you spent on Arma 2: CO went to Rocket, so there's no reason he'd give you a discount on his game. The fact that you bought Arma 2: CO in order to play DayZ is COMPLETELY irrelevant.
  16. If dogs use the same system as squads in Arma 2, don't expect them to follow your orders correctly.

  19. Been surviving for like a week, killed less than a hundred Zeds, 3 bandits and a dozen survivors.

  21. I kill everybody as soon as I see them, because I have no good reason not to.
  22. But what if Timmy doesn't trust me and shoots me on sight when I try to save him? :(
