About the disconnecting issue. There once was a nice thread here : http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/6718-disconnecting-to-avoid-death/ But it has been locked................ I still wonder why. But as it is not a place to discuss moderation, i'll just say that all the best ideas about this issue has been mention there. Go have a nice read. ^_^

During that time, You could still move if you ever need to defend yourself but that would stop the disconnecting process. I think that less than 1 minutes gives anyone the opportunity to use his "escape joker press echap+deconnect" very easily, each time he is facing PvP danger. Indeed, a 5-10 second timer freeze doesn't stop me from jumping behind cover, in case of firefight, and log out. My attacker would NOT have time to catch me. I don't know how the community would feel about a longer timer though. Please give your thoughts guys, so Rocket can have an idea of how unpopular this would be ^_^ Thanks again for the great mod Rocket. That's some "never seen before" gameplay.

OMAGOD! I HEAR GUNSHOTS from 100 meters away or so. I jump behind a wall and lay down. Come and get me in 10 sec. And keep in mind that you dont even know if i really disconnected. So you can't just run in because then i could shoot you. So you have 10 seconds to do a 100 meters cautious approach. Good luck bro. What we need is a 1 minute freeze after deco. If you do it in the field hiding in a tree, there is zero risk. (Oh and i'm not hardcore or anything, i love gay poney and stuff, it's just that i would like to have some real pressure and authenticity during pvp firefight.)

Q: Do you feel that the presence of very high level weapons and equipments, like L85 with thermal optics, M107, nightvision, and so on, are in adequation with the authenticity of a Survival, Post-apocaliptyc game?

Q: Will you add any way, being non-lethal equipment or melee weapon, to knockdown an other player ? Q: Would you implement a Handcuff and blinding system? (For people who roleplay a lot) @Max: If you had them, feel free to make my questions sound english :)

Unfortunately thats exactly what my group does as soon as we are geared up. The pattern here could be summed up as follow : 1/ From the beach. Get back to your friend, or make youself some new one if you don't have any. INTENSE and very exciting moments. 2/Get some gear. Loot dangerous places with your friends. Try to survive Tcherno/any town, and get to the woods. VERY INTENSE. To me it is the core of the game. 3/You now can survive in the woods. Your group go look for Airfields/Barracks/HeliCrash/Vehicule. Late Game. Interesting and pretty intense as you dont want to lose your gear. But unfortunately it is often just a matter of "Avoid the Snipers Bullets/server hoppers". 4/Your group survived and you managed to make a Camp. From now on you will get BORED. Your group will organize some operations in hospitals. You will search for vehicule parts. BUT THEN IT WILL STRIKE YOU. ONE MEMBER OF YOUR GROUP WILL SAY " Lets go have some fun in Tcherno?" And you will go get some Pvp excitements. Your group will kill anyone and anything in Tcherno because you just need the STRESS and INTENSITY you all once experimented. Usually this ends up with you dying and going back to point 1/ . Rinse and repeat.

And then it allows some kind of a reputation system on the server. After a month or two you will know not to trust this guy or you will like this other guy who helped you once. I like this idea. If servers can host 100 or more persons then it is more than enough.

Macbook Pro Early 2011 = 2,5Ghz Corei7 - 8 Go - ATI 6770m - HD 5200/RoundPerMinutes (ill get a ssd soon) In order to get decent fps - above 30: -I had to run at 1400*900 -AA Off (use fxaa anyway) -PostFx Off -Shadow Off -and all the rest to low. But the game is still enjoyable. Weird thing is that i had worst perf than with my 4 years old desktop PC : Core2duo + ATI 5770 + HD 7200rpm. Maybe I didnt installed the last bootcamp drivers correctly. Anyway, I'll buy an ssd soon and more ram so i'll keep you guyz posted.

Rocket, sorry but it is only to be sure: When you say the "ALT-F4 issue", does it involve the "Danger close = Press ESC + Disconnect" issue too? That would be great but im not really expecting you to answer "yes", for it seems to be more troublesome to fix that. Maybe i'm wrong though?

I am a friendly survivor. And I love bandits and murderers. They make my game so much intense. Stop trying to force YOUR playstyle on this sandbox game. Just FIX THE DISCONNECTING ISSUE. If thats fixed, then bandits and murderers WILL be more cautious for they won't have any escape joker.
