FRAPS actually saves raw footage, it doesn't encode it to save space at all. Nah, when two counter snipers are operating individually, there's an unwritten law that states they will both happen to look at the other at the exact same moment. They will then kneel, do an extended (sometimes as much as two or three kilometer) air-brofist, and then return to their duty. If there are three? Well, one of them just gets fucked.

The revolver stays accurate at a longer range, has more accurate and easily read ironsights, and doesn't have a sudden drop in stopping power past 50m. The M1911 has an extra bullet per reload, a faster rate of fire, and I believe it reloads a bit quicker as well. I used to prefer the M1911 due to its ROF, but the revolver is a better weapon overall - nerf or no. ... if you can fucking find it, you mean.

DayZ commander has been spot on with day/night and server settings, at least when it is able to retrieve them. Also can update both ArmA2OA and your DayZ installs at the push of a button, can set it up for Steam and update that for you too.

It's not elitist to call a clip a clip, and a magazine a magazine. It is elitist to complain when a lot of others do different, and claim you do it right because it's wrong to do otherwise.

Try and hit the zombie on the arm - I found it's the easiest spot to notice the bolt when trying to retrieve it. You need to move your crosshairs over the bolt - even if you can't see it because it's under the body or inside it, you'll get the option to retrieve bolt.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but both the Merriam-Webster and Oxford dictionaries have agreed that "clip" and "magazine" are entirely interchangeable when referring to firearms and their ammunition. Originally, a clip was a strip of metal binding a number of cartridges together for insertion into a firearm. A stripper clip was discarded as the bullets were fed from it, and an en bloc design retained the clip until it was exhausted. You can find clips in game for various rifles, and indeed the revolver (.45 ACP). However, the word clip was often used to refer to magazines by soldiers receiving them. Later, clip would become synonymous with both the original meaning, and the new type of ammunition storage (but only when it's referring to a firearm magazine. I never asked anyone to unban me, and frankly, I don't want to be unbanned. I said "If I ever get to play DayZ." And by that, I mean buying another copy, not trying to beg for an unban or any childish shit like that. I'm more mature than that... Dallas is entirely right. You're not sorry, just sore that you got caught. A reasonably well written post, but it doesn't change anything - you cheated because you felt entitled (in an alpha, which is really shockingly dumb, where you can lose items at a moments notice for no reason whatsoever) to the gear. Then you cheated again twice for convenience, proving your initial sentiments about only doing it to bypass a bug are entirely false. Were you to ever play DayZ again, I expect that you wouldn't cheat. Until you felt the reward outweighed the risk. Posting this here isn't brave or noble, though hopefully it may prove a useful lesson to others. That is the only good that can come of this. Saying you're "coming clean" shows you want a clean slate, and you're not going to get it.

Did a bit of methodical testing with the gear I had. It seems to be related (though possibly not limited) to DMR mags and the weapons that use them, the DMR and the M14 AIM. When I had the weapon alone, or mags alone, in my inventory the sidearm reloaded fine. Add both a weapon (either) and at least one magazine, and the pistol would never reload. Drop the mag, pistol reloads.

As someone else said, the OP was seriously attached to his gear. Far too attached, and far too inexperienced, to take up banditry apparently. This guy has no proof that the other guy has no proof. See where this is going?

If you can view the ingame menus, simply set it via the video options. If not, you can delete the values in the config file including their keys (delete the whole line), and ArmA2 will reset it to default upon next load.

I've been able to do a corpse run due to a bug death of approx 45-50 minutes. It may have been longer, but that's the minimum time I am positive of. Some of that time was spam-respawning to get close to a major city, then grabbing a compass, map, food and drink, and legging it to my old corpse.

Well, on the bright side? Things can only get better than random crowbar wielding homicidal maniacs chasing you through a pitch black forest in the pouring rain. Well, mostly. It could happen again and involve half a dozen zombies too.

I stopped reading here, since you need to stop posting here. No-one is forcing you to read any post on this forum, but these newbies might read quite a few threads when they first start playing DayZ. I have no doubt that not only will the formatting of your post give a few of them nervous breakdowns, but the content of your post is bordering on vitriolic stupidity and reads like an autobiography at times. Any newbies that did read this post might decide to take it seriously, in part or whole. Also, learn the difference between newbie and noob. A new player is a newbie, you are a noob.

Install the ArmA2 OA 95208 beta release, apparently that improves performance. Search on the forums and Google about ArmA 2 and more specifically, DayZ performance tweaks. There's enough info already out there.

For everyone: You are not paying for your own server. You are not paying to have admin rights. You are not paying to play with your friends, clan members or significant other. Simply put, you are volunteering to pay for a server to support DayZ. If you don't want to pay to support DayZ, don't. There are plenty of servers you can play on, being paid for by more altruistic people without entitlement issues. What the fuck does that mean? Lots of people have illegible posts that can be deciphered, but this? This is pure shit in text form. It'd be more pleasing to the eye and brain if it were ASCII art of a pile of excrement.

We were traveling for approximately two hours with our existing characters (we had them before joining this server). After the server crashed, we were back to where we had logged in with all the gear we had before joining that specific server. As for the ghillie suit, after killing its former owner I had one murder to my name. I equipped the ghillie once to try it out, and then removed it. After my friend later asked me whether I had a murder or bandit kill, I checked again. Not only was it wiped, my zombie kills were no longer as high as they had been before (I had killed zombies since removing it). I noted, also, that all my magazines were completely full as well as my flares and chemlight stacks. Tested it again by draining all mags slightly, and re-equipping ghillie. It reset mags on wearing, and again on removal. Obviously didn't get a chance to check stats after wearing and relogging, but will do when (if) I find another camo/ghillie outfit.

When you can comprehend that it has nothing to do with players, but everything to do with computer hardware (specifically the server), then come back and apologize for being a fool. How about no? No?
