About 16 hours over a period of 5 days. Died by getting stuck on some stairs in a house that leads to a door that can not be opened. (you know the house) The hall was too narrow to turn around and zombies came up behind me, knocked me out and ate me. As I could not turn around or back up I don't think there was a single thing I could have done. Other than not get into that position to begin with obviously. Also, I only killed about 35 Zeds and zero murders. It's obvious from those stats I kept alive by avoiding player contact. A bit of useless trivia: This was my one and only ever female character.

I normally only kill in self defence. But today I did my first murder. I was upstairs in a building and came down to see a guy laying barbed wire across both doorways. I only had a hatchet but I cut him into small pieces. I call that justifiable homicide.

Do you think that's wise, playing a Beta game I mean ? I here they can be unstable and full of BS. Maybe the Planetside 2 devs should stop doing half ass beta and develop it in to a full game.

Pay no attention to the "this game isn't for you" posts. If you check their post historys it's pretty much all they do is troll new players saying the same thing. That said you gotta grit your teeth. If you die then you learnt something. Try not to die that way again. Each person works their own way of dealing the game. Some players lone wolf it. Others team up. But one thing we all have in common is we all woke up on a beach with a steaming hangover and defenceless. Give it some time and you will be rewarded with a pretty amazing game. If you are short on patience or are prone to rage then your gonna have a bad time. Relax, avoid large cities unless you just started out and have nothing to loose. Big cites can be great at stocking up fast, but once you got your supplies head out away from the coast. Recon towns before you enter. Watch the movements of the zombies for a couple of minutes. This also gives time for any players to reveal themselves. Long story short your gonna need patience. Most games are made not to hard for the mass market. This game / mod was made with a mature gamer in mind. That has nothing to do with age by the way but attitude. It takes some people by surprise as it's not what they are used to or expecting. Best of luck... Now get out there and don't let the feckers drive ya down. Only you can cause yourself to fail at this game, because you get infinite re'spawns. You just need the grit to keep using them.

The two things are not connected. The DDos attack will stop when the attacker runs out of cash or gets bored or arrested. Normally these things burn out after a day or 2

Not read all 9 pages. And tbh don't normally read posts that have immature titles like "I know your a fag if you have a different opinion". 30 second (or more) timer to initiate for logging when certain requirements are met. Such as, If you shoot your weapon or you receive any damage. That way you can still log for genuine reasons, but if you shoot at someone and it goes wrong and they come after you you have to wait the timer. If you get shot or hit from a Zed the same timer. Something needs to be done to stop people logging of after they failed to kill you. imo something like this does that without harming players who drop because of connection or having to log for genuine reasons. No need to harm genuine players to get a solution to this. Just need to target the certain situations where logging of is an exploit. Such as logging after giving or receiving damage.

If you want to keep to the Dayz spirit then you need to park it on the beach, kill newbies as they log in and then post a youtube vid about your awesome PVP skills. Personally I would take it to the Northwest airfield and cover my pal why he looted the crap out of the place.
