Well it's been a long time since i set forth into the haunting yet beautiful world which is Chernarus... I had memories of extreme isolation, fear, excitement and wanted to re-visit Day-Z to see how far it's come. It's been pleasing to catch up on all the updates and seeing the new content and changes, and reading all about the Standalone. I had assumed i would be starting over when i re-installed and logged in but was pleased to see i still had my ghillie suit, water bottles, food, a hunting knife and some other essentials, although i would have been happy beginning afresh. It's going to take me a while to get re-acquainted to the game but it will be good practice for the SA! Time to find some good UK servers, and ideally some people to play with as i've been lone wolfing it so far. See you out there! Well, hopefully not actually! :)

I was trying to get the game installed yesterday after a long absence, and finding the right patches etc was getting frustrating. In the end installing Dayz commander was the best and quickest way to do things. That will bring your game up to the most recent patch/version and allow you to easily find and join servers.

I have the same issue as Dasrabbit, so am looking around for an answer and hopefull someone will post one soon if i dont find one myself!
