Rocket said its going away but only for now. I see no problem in this decision, the game being in alpha and all. I'd say shoot the shit out of everyone just to prove that the game is turned into a deathmatch without this system if you really disagree with this change. I think people recognise a bandit because he is in a certain area rather then being in a different skin. Though I must say the bandit system is not a bad idea at all.

Too bad that rocket decided to pick a scapegoat instead of giving in to the popular opinion that nights suck and the fact that you have to switch servers to be able to play the game at all. Simulation as it might be but really? At a later state this might be a cool thing and it might work. The way it is right now? disaster.... luckily its alpha. How long is that excuse going to work?

I told a guy in a ruin today that I was friendly. Lulled him into a false sense of security and once he was comfortable enough to loot I shot him in the back of the head. I felt really bad afterwards and I kinda regret doing it. But atleast he had a nice winchester, compass, map and binoculars.

When I started playing 2-3 patches ago I could still see at night. You could tell if stuff was moving but not much else. All I could see was the contours of the buildings and trees. Nothing was in detail and the further away stuff got the less I could make it out. I was really impressed with how cool this was that you could actually play even though it was difficult. I dont know what happened if the weather system keeps setting to cloudy during nights now or if i changed some setting because i might aswell turn off the monitor at this point. I just think its stupid how you cant see shit at night now and have to join a bad ping server. But I really like the day night cycle

The most annoying death I had was in green mountains. I climb up the radio tower and go outside. A zombie is waiting for me and I freak out and he breaks my leg. Earlier I picked up some makarov ammo in my backback and without realising it I dropped my morphine... both of them. So I crawl out past the zombies all the way to the closest village to get morphine. Realise I have nothing to drink either since my bottle got dropped aswell. Find a bottle and start crawling to a pond I passed on my way to the village. This has taken me probably an hour and a half. I die of dehydration less then 50m away from the pond............

Welcome to alpha

/agree Keep the massive amount of zombies but stop them from spawning quicker then you can kill them! :D Force people to create alliances to survive. More social interaction = more fun for everyone.

I do wish there were both shamblers and runners ingame. Put the runners in difficult areas and big towns combined with slower ones like the 'monkeys' except they stand up. I really like the fact that there's more then one kind of zombie and would like to see more variations to make the game interesting. The zeds do need a bit of an overhaul when it comes to pathfinding and running speed. You can kite them around forever so I dont see a point in why you should be able to outrun zombies. Just add something that makes a player unable to run long distances under stress or while bleeding etc.

The amount of zombies around is pretty interesting. My friend and I almost got stormed in a house in electro and I've never been in as much panic and I've rarely been as laggy. My fps dropped down to about 15 fps or something with 30-40 zombies all around us trying to get inside. I dont have a super computer but I do usually play without lag and I do hang around in the cherno and electro without significant fps drops. It was exciting though. I would like to see this many zombies ingame if possible without too much performance issues.

The humanity is one of the things that makes this game really awesome. If anything people should stay bandits for longer like a 24h period. Also tweak the system somehow so people wont go bandit for self-defence.
