I agree Venthos... I mean there are still people who think google is the internet, and turning on their windows firewall will protect their box from all evil. Are they being careless? Your "flawless logic and reason" is nothing but your own subjective opinion....You think it's fair that those people get banned, he doesn't. Is it fair that innocent people get banned for being careless? No, it isn't imo... not everybody has the knowledge (or time to acquire said knowledge) and understanding of how the internet works to distinguish between a phishing site and the real deal for example. Having said that... should those cd-keys that were used for hacking be banned? Absolutely... why? Because there is no economically acceptable way to prove it wasn't the owner himself ... not with Arma2 anyways. It's possible but not very likely or at least not very common... you'd need a considerably big sample group of cd-keys to find the right algorithm... and of those billions of possible cd-keys you'd have to find those that were activated/bought. weapon inflation due to excessive duping and spawning.... there needs to be a fix for duping at least (hacking can't be fixed, face it) and a complete reset of all characters/tents/vehicles I have never found an L85, AS50 or a Rangefinder at a legit loot spawn. yet it only takes me about 1 hour to get all these items. why? because every fucking douchbag cherno sniper and his dog has them ... and if there is no sniper to kill around just look for a camp... talk about immersion...

you should be able to knock people unconcious from behind too misleading threadtitles ftw

character saving is fcked since always.... your best bet is to wait 5-10 minutes before changing clothes, loggin out etc in your case that's really bad luck :-/

happened to me too after I killed hacker... I was kinda suprised he didnt just kill me I then took his hacked car and drove off lol and no, there is no way to get you stuff back other then finding it again

I know the military offroad is in the game, but I've never seen it in red... is it hacked or does it actually spawn in red? I wouldnt be too surprised if it was hacked in since I "lost" all my gear after killing the driver (more like: my gear just vanished into thin air), not to mention that just recently all servers we play on seem to get overrun by hackers within hours...

in the last week there wasnt a day i didnt see a script kiddy.... servers nuked, invisible kids teleporting and killing people, mass teleports to the coast, helicopters and other spawned stuff.... consider yourself lucky if you are not being killed at least twice a week by a skiddy.... cheaters in dayz is a whole new dimension

in the last week I've seen servers being nuked, spawned helicopters, invisible hackers teleporting around shooting people (twice), and today I killed a guy in a hacked vehicle just to see my gear vanish into thin air seconds after battleye's piss poor anticheat protection is a joke really

What server was this and why were they banned?! Admin abuse anyone?!

So me an my group ran into the server admin of LU15 aka nigel quite a few times already.... resulting in our camps getting looted and a few vehicles stolen. They seem to have their camp in that general area as they use the town nearby to fuel their vehicles... Well today we went there to get some fuel with our atv, when me we ran into another group of three, they managed to kill one of our guys and stole the atv... since it had almost no fuel left we followed them to the next gas tank and surounded them... we killed one of them driving the atv and injured another one when suddenly... everybody gets kicked from the server. One of our guys said that he saw nigel the server admin with them (the server has names enabled when you mouse-scroll over the person) We tried to logg in but got stuck in the loading screen.. so after we finally got back in we heard the atv drive away, but werent able to follow it on foot... this is all a little too convenient in my opinion, getting kicked off the server when we were engaging them (and winning the fight), then not being able to reconnect while they were able to take all the time they needed to refuel the atv and drive away.... did anyone else have similar experiences on this server?

^this ... maybe you should check your server settings? not one word of what I wrote was a lie... I didnt even lose my kit, we just lost that atv, and as you might have noticed the thread title says "possible...." to point out that we are not sure that that's exactly what happened the threads main purpose was to see if anyone else had similar experiences on this server. If you didnt have anything to do with this I appologize for jumping to conclusions.... if you think this might have been the result of hackers please check you server logs (which I assume you already have) the name of the player who we killed was "merick", we are certain of that.

are you kidding me? zombies see you from 150m away while being crouched.... ofc you could just stay prone 100% of the time you are near a city but that's ridicilous not to mention that zombies respawn ~20 seconds after you killed them (tested this yesterday)

Stuff like this mustn't happen in a game like DayZ with community hosted servers! Blacklist ASAP!

something similar happened to us yesterday on LU15 ... we got in a fight with the server admin, and when we were about to win everybody gets kicked from the server, when we were able to log back in we heard the vehicle we were fighting for driving away in the distance and the rest of the group that we didnt kill was gone...

up the server usually runs very smooth for us, we all had 30-50ms ping... also: everybody on the server was kicked but the server didnt restart it was still online, maybe this was a "mission restart"?

maybe snipers are not for you.... there's nothing wrong with that if you want a weapon that can one-shot people at close to mid range get an enfield for example, it's basically a sniper without scope
