  2. I don't like ideas with the sole object to make this game more like other games. For example the "eye" thingy when you are spotted. When you are surrounded by Infected and dying you know you are spotted. No indication is needed. If there is loot in front of" _every_" building we can send the challenge and difficulty on a sunny vacation. The other ideas have problems as well but I'll let other posters adress them. I need coffee. EDIT: Blew my mind though, I'll give you that.
  3. Thread title sounds like a Panic at the Disco song. Even though it would be cool to spray stuff on walls the internet will always be the internet and I am not sure I want to run around Chernarus with dicks on every building.

[/quote'] One thing that might work is giving each of the medical items certain "stages" of use. Painkillers: Relieve pain, lessen the effects of an infection, remove the blurry vision when on low blood Morphine: Treat severe pain (don't call it "Broken bones" but keep that you can't walk) Bandage: One bandage for a low damage wound (say... 1000 blood loss). Several bandages for greater wounds where one bandage would only slow down the bleeding but not stop it. Use several bandages to treat the "Broken Bone" effect and allow you to walk for a given amount of time before you can find morphine. Like this. There could be some depth to this.

    I really don't know if this is something that can be altered for the mod or if it is something for BI to change, but I think it would be great if there was a Direct Comm option with a wider range then 40m. Nothing like Side or Global, maybe 100m max. This because I very often observe other Survivors from a distance and I would like to be able to "shout" out to them. When they are close enough for Direct they are already too close for comfort. I want to be able to communicate without standing up and do a Q and E dance and give away my position.

  8. What if we just need a lot of bandages? Say... three? :) Like how you use bandages when you sprain an ankle. After a while you will get your "bones" broken again and need to use three new bandages.

    I think rocket stated somewhere that this was very performance demanding which is a shame since it would add a lot to gameplay. I really really hope it can be implemented. My biggest wish by far is that a gunshot will attract Z attention at a far range to make camping harder and more risky and diversions easier.

    I only play servers where it is removed. Along with Side Chat. And third person. And crosshairs. When the Debug Monitor is finally removed it will be glorious.

    I ALWAYS find Antibiotics if I break the glass of a hospital and go inside. Am I just lucky? :) Since I have yet to have an infection in game and feeling oh so generous today; what server are you on. You can have mine.

    Wouldn't it be possible to place more medical camps around the map, like the one in Cherno? Or the military camp near Balota. Make them more common and spread out and spawn Medical Supplies there. It is very time consuming to travel to a hospital for your medical supplies but it makes sense. So make more hospitals! In the infection scenario it would be appropriate to have "quarantine camps" or whatever spread about. Also, I definitely think the concept of More Gear Makes More Sound should at least be tested out. Different playstyles will keep this mod interesting and that one could change a lot.
  14. Even though I love myself a good Zombie discussion this isn't really the right place. :) Zombies does not have to be dead. The classical ones were put in a deadlike state by drugs. But not dead. The ones before that were magical folklore and stuff. The "zombies" in this game ARE called infected. EDIT: The whole idea of cannibalistic zombies is a very modern concept, started by Romero.
  15. They're not actually dead. So that helps. Think 28 Days/Weeks Later - "Infected" not rotten corpses. if they are not actually dead they are not actually zombies. That's why they are called infected. And being a zombie really has nothing to do with being dead.
  16. Oh yeah, for some reason the lights on my G17 won't work. If i press L 20 times it will sometimes turn on, but then I have a really hard time making it turn off again. :) Dayz or ArmA or something else?

  18. My FPS is still horrible for some reason. I run through steam and updated manually. The other "new" features worked though! I was a little worried about what was going to happen when I moved my Military Flashlight in my backpack to my active inventory but it placed itself nicely in the tool slots. :) Would it be possible to alter how much sound you give away depending on how much gear you have? It would make sense that a guy with the assault pack and a pistol generates less sound while moving then a guy with a large backpack, lots and lots of tools hanging around and an assault rifle. It would also work as a "class system" that many people are (for some reason...) asking for. We have overwatch, medics and so on right now. Maybe a runner/scavenger would be fitting. Have less stuff in your inventory and a smaller backpack and you won't make a sound when raiding those houses. :) Because right now I sneak by every infected very very easily.

    Maybe randomly spawned supply/ammo crates around the map that can only be opened with a crowbar?
